I went to this Jet's Pizza location back in April because they were donating a portion of proceeds to Lurie's Children's Hospital for every 8 corner pizza ordered in April. We ordered: Jet's Cheese Bread (Freshly baked bread with premium mozzarella, topped with butter, garlic & romano. Served with your choice of dipping sauce (12 pcs) Boneless chicken nuggets 8 corner Jet's pizza Super Special Pizza (Pizza sauce, premium mozzarella, pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, onions & green peppers) Chocolate Chip Brownie (Freshly baked 8" chocolate chip brownie (8 pcs). My order wasn't quite ready when I arrived, but, it was ready within 5 minutes. The employee was nice and apologized for my order not being ready. This location is no frills and is engineered for take out only. There is a parking lot so it is very convenient for pick up. I never had Jet's pizza before, but, I really liked it. The chocolate chip brownie was fabulous and huge. It won't be the last time we order from here.

Quick and efficient. Phone was answered right away, in a kind manner. They told me about a 20 minute pick up time & it was ready on time, or maybe sooner. I ordered the Detroit Style BBQ Chicken Pizza with Turbo Crust. 10/10

The pizza wasn't terrible, it just wasn't great. But it's definitely not worth how much I paid. If this pizza had been $5-10 cheaper I'd be singing it's praises. It's not a bad pizza, sure it had an oblong shape but it tasted good enough but def not for the price.

Jet's is open until 3am on Saturday! For a late night delivery joint, Jet's is definitely one of the better pizzas I've tasted at 11pm. This was my introduction to Detroit style deep dish, which is very different from a Chicago deep dish. (see pic) Our pizza was delivered promptly and piping hot. We ordered a XL pepperoni with a turbo (garlic, butter, Romano) crust for four. Looks can be deceiving, so don't pile on your plate. Their pizza was very filling, one slice was enough for me, all due to the style of it. Highlight of the pizza was definitely the crust, so crispy! You can really taste the Romano and garlic. I now see why they sell an all edge pizza, just gotta have dat crust. Inside the crispy crust, the pizza had a thick dough that was topped with plenty of cheese. They definitely did their pizza math, because the thick deep dish dough was compensated by the perfect amount of cheese. All that cheese = extra grease though, so throw out your diet plans for the night. For a gal that's just not too into pizza, I enjoyed every bite. I am willing to order again under the right occasion.

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, not realizing just how busy the place gets...that was a mistake. Learn from us - book a reservation weeks in advance, or at the very least, several days in advance. The trip over there is a little bit of a hassle, and we were almost turned away (more on that in a minute). Once we finally got seated, the experience was great. First, the positives - The pizza came out piping hot and was incredible. The crust had a caramelized, crispy edge, and it was super rich, filling, and flavorful. It may not look like a large portion when it gets delivered to the table, but boy, you get full fast here. My wife loved it too! Our server was friendly and took great care of us, and I liked the atmosphere inside a lot. The exposed brick walls and old-school neighborhood pizza-joint gives it a lot of character. The only downside was our first interaction at the front. We didn't have a reservation, and the hostess we initially spoke with was surprisingly rude about it, to the point that we actually left for a second. We thought about it, talked about how far out of our way we had to come to get there amongst ourselves, and decided if we couldn't eat in, we'd place a takeout order instead. So we came back to place a takeout order, and thankfully we got to speak with another host, who was much more helpful and eventually got us seated inside. Rough start aside, the pizza was excellent and worth the trip, provided you have a reservation.

We started with the Greek salad and flatbread, and they were just as delicious as I remembered. The salad is HUGE--I'll come back to that. For the table, I ordered the half-pound pot pie pizzas. You're given three options: sausage and mushroom, sausage without mushroom, or mushroom only. The first time I visited, I was brought there by a Muslim couple who didn't eat pork. Although I'm not Muslim, I also don't eat pork, and another person in our group doesn't eat mushrooms. We were able to find pot pie options that worked for everyone. I also remember the menus telling the interesting history of the area, including the connection to the Valentine's Day Massacre across the street. That history and character seem to have disappeared as well. When the pizza arrived, I honestly thought a frozen pizza would have tasted better. The sauce tasted like Ragu spaghetti sauce soup, with two nearly raw, completely UNSEASONED whole mushrooms floating in it. It was horrible. Because I don't eat pork, I needed an alternative for the meat. What I received were two DRY, OVERCOOKED, well-done, flavorless hockey pucks disguised as "meat patties" that I was expected to crumble into my pizza. Not one of the five people at our table liked their pizza. My brother, who has also visited this restaurant several times said the pot pie was not how he experienced in the past. At that point, a few of us agreed that we might come back for the salad and flatbread, but the pizza was a complete miss. Then things got worse! As we were getting carry-out containers to take home the remainder of our food--with hopes of somehow doctoring up the pizza in our kitchens--we divided up the leftover salad and flatbread. Our server gave us two condiment containers for the salad dressing. (There are two different dressings that you mix and drizzle over the salad.) We packed up our food, and there was enough salad and bread left for at least two more people. So we asked for additional containers for the dressing. That's when we were told there was a limit of TWO dressing containers per table. WHAT??!!! Even Italian Garden will give you as much dressing as you need without making you feel like you're being upsold to PURCHASE the dressing. At that point, all five of us agreed: the salad and flatbread were good, but they weren't good enough to make us want to return. The watery pizza soufflé and container policy, was a disappointment and turnoff. What I remembered as a unique, memorable Chicago dining experience now felt overrated and more like a tourist trap. It was $250 wasted. I'll also be sharing this experience on my social platforms as well. Honorable mention: The glasses slide around due to the unevenness of the tables (not the booths) and the condensation underneath the drinks. Spend money on the uneven light fixtures outside of your establishment and the rickety tables. Just a thought.

On our most recent order, the pizzas arrived with noticeably less sauce than we had received on previous orders, so I reached out to their customer service team and included a few photos. They followed up with me, looked into the order, and completely made things right. Things don't always go perfectly with any company -- what really tells you about a business is how they handle it when something does go wrong. Giordano's handled this exceptionally well. We've been customers before, and after this experience we absolutely will be customers again. Great pizza and, just as importantly, top-notch customer service. We ended up doing a walk-in on a Sunday night and showed up at 8 PM one hour before close. This worked out for us because we got a really good seat after only waiting for 20 minutes. Service is good and timely- the hostess was super kind and helpful. We started with some cocktails- a Negroni & a spritz (both were good & pretty strong). Then we split the Caesar salad and a pizza with half sausage/olive and mushroom/onion. Yeah, the pizza did blow me away- the crust is perfectly crunchy and so so thin. I wouldn't even describe it as traditional tavern style pizza because I think it's a really crunchy crust- but it's definitely wayyyyy better than Dimi Dimi (that's the most comparable crust imo). The sauce has a slight spice to it, and the whole pizza just feels very layered in terms of flavorful profile. The sausage was also spicy but very good and I absolutely loved the mushroom and onion duo. Sometimes when you go to a certain pizza places, it doesn't feel worth it, but all the ingredients felt elevated here and the pizza had an elevated taste. The Caesar salad had a nice light dressing and a ton of cheese. I wish that the lettuce had a bit more of a crunch to it, but they seemed to use butter lettuce. The inside feels like a classic Italian joint, but it's very small and simple Overall, so glad that I finally went and although it's not a place that I would go regularly because I live far, I would definitely come back!

Kari's Rating 9.25/10…read more TLDR: -2 types of pizza, tavern = thin, Artisan = doughy -Opens at 4pm-Can have a line when opening! -One of my personal favorites for pizza in River North! Came with a friend for dinner around 4 PM and man was it crowded as soon as those doors opened. It had been my first time there and I'm more of a lover of pizza that has a little bit of dough, so we started off with the crispy calamari appetizer, and then went straight in with the artisan style vodka, pizza while adding Italian sausage. Calamari was pretty good, it was lately battered, and not very oily which I appreciated. It came with a lemon as well as some kind of mayo, dipping sauce. It was very delicious and light and came out relatively quickly after ordering. I was trying to see room as the pizza was the absolute star of the show-The cheese came almost the ends of the perfect puffy and doughy crust. Although, the middle of the pizza was thinner than the artesian, puffy crust, yet you could taste everything when you took a first bite. The combination of cheese, sauce, banana peppers, and the Italian sausage was incredible. Now, normally I would think vodka anything would be a little heavier, but it actually was a perfect light bite pizza. We seated in the secondary dining room and it had a very interesting layout, but it was very trendy and modernly decorated. I can't believe how packed it got considering we went in on a Monday. We left around 6:30 and the place was almost fully packed, including their first entrance seating. I fake to the bathroom as I was paying the check, and it was interesting considering the bathrooms were only one stall per gender, which is very unlike River North considering the bathrooms, usually take up a significant portion of the restaurant layout-but who knows, maybe they didn't have the space? We finished off our early lunch with a tiramisu and it didn't come out traditionally looking like a tiramisu, considering it came in a bowl almost as a pudding. It was coated in a dusting of cocoa and chocolate crispy rice balls, but was surprisingly not very coffee flavored. I don't personally like the strong coffee taste into tiramisu-and I found it absolutely delightful, although I would consider it more of a vanilla tiramisu than a traditional. Overall, a very positive experience, the servers were relatively attentive, the prices were moderate for pizza in River North, appetizers and dessert was relatively good as far as pizza goes in Chicago and I look forward to returning sooner than later!!
