Came in the other night after a long day of touring the city. Had to wait about half an hour for a table, but luckily were able to pre-order the pizza (since it takes a while to make). We have heard nothing but good things about the deep dish and were not disappointed! Our waitress Marissa was incredibly accommodating and has some fantastic suggestions for drinks and appetizers to sate our thirst and hunger while we waited for the main course. The cheese curds were perfect, the bruscetta was impeccable, and the Chicago classic deep dish was TO DIE FOR. and the local beers (green line ipa) really topped it off. Thank you Marissa! Quotation time for delivery way off. Told it would take 40-50 minutes...been waiting for an hour and a half and food still hasn't arrived. When we called the store to ask what was happening, the only explanation that was given was that they got busy and they didn't realize the delivery time wasn't updated. Still couldn't say exactly where the food was just that "they are on their way" and was so ridiculously unhelpful on the phone. Never ordering from this location again. read more

Oh, my, god. Giordano's is, without a doubt, the best stuffed pizza in Chicago. I would travel all day every day if I could to eat Giordano's for a living. I particularly like coming to the Belmont location because it is less crowded than downtown. The pizza is delicious, and a large will serve at least 2-3 people. We ordered two large pizzas for seven people, and that was just right! I cannot wait to go back to Chicago, I will make myself sick by eating too much Giordano's!!! read more

We had our pizza delivered through the website, and I have to say the site was easy to use and the delivery was done in the time the site told us to expect. The only suggestion I have on that front is that I wish it would have had a place you could put in a coupon since we had one and didn't use it (because I forgot about it until after I had placed my order), and would have liked a prompt for it. After saying that, I ordered the Stuffed Cheese Pizza with beef and mushrooms. The cheese was fantastic. Perfectly stringy and oh so tasty. The sauce was good (2nd only to Lou Malnalti's), and the mushrooms were mild but flavorful. The beef had an odd flavor, so I would probably have left it off and stuck with just mushrooms. The biggest fault was the crust, and the reason I didn't give them 5 stars. It was awful. Way too crispy, almost hard enough to crack a tooth. However, my sister eats there often and says that their crust was off and is definitely not normally like that and is better. My sister ordered her favorite, the Stuffed Veggie, and I tried a bite (onions don't agree with me, and I don't like green peppers) and it was good, it confirmed that leaving off the beef would have been a good move for my pizza. Her crust was just as hard, but she still insisted it was a fluke. Definitely go, if only for the cheese alone, but maybe request to have the pizza delivered not quite done and finish it in your own oven to assure your crust is as you like it. read more

Came here before Cubs/Cards game Tuesday. Service was terrible!! Waitress never checked on us. We flagged another one down to ask about our food. We thought maybe she forgot to put order in. Finally after sitting there for an hour, asked bus boy if we could have it boxed to go. Again, waitress never came over to us. As we got up to walk out, she did stop us with it boxed up ready to go. Though the food here is to the Giordano's high standard, this location has the worst service I have ever seen. First a manager had to ask if we had been helped and then had to make the server come over. She took the order of a table sat after us before us, then when she showed up at our table she said, "So you ready?" No hello, no introduction, very abrasive. Then I guess you order a pizza that takes 35 minutes, which is fine but our waitress did not check back with us once in those 35 minutes, so I was without refill on my bottomless soda for far too long. Pizza was great! I'll have to admit that I'm a bigger Giordano's fan than a Gino's East fan. The crust is way better. This location was convenient but our server acted like we came in 5 minutes before his shift ended. (Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon) He wasn't very personable and was really short with us. I came here once when I was a boy with my Godfather. He wanted me to experience all the best Chicago had to offer so after a White Sox game we ate at Giordano's. As a boy with little experience in dining I quickly listed the pizza as the best ever and sadly could never find a better slice. New York, Italy, California, and so forth I found great pizza but nothing that came close to a Giordano's pie. I determined that since I was a kid when the pie was devoured it was probably not as good as I made it out to be in my mind and gave up on the search. Terrible experience. My brother in law hosted a party for out of town guests for his wedding. The manager/hostess was extremely rude. First she told us we could not seat where we sat, even though they did not set up enough seats for the party. They did not make enough pizzas and we ended up having to wait for new pizzas to be baked. read more

The pizza itself is great. No doubt about that. The only issue was that it was super packed and there was maybe 2 or 3 waiters for the entire restaurant. We had one take our order, a bus boy bring us our food and refills, and one bring us our check. Things need to be more organized. Waiters at other giordano's are assigned tables. You should really try that out. Might get things done a little quicker. I love Giordano's so I don't want to hate it but I hated the experience I just had. read more
