I usually don't do this. If I eat and don't like takeout places I just deal with it but the Food is terrible. Coming from an Italian family it's not even mediocre. Especially the one by queens college and As for polite they are polite but what good is that when you get a re order and the food sucks again. Their delivery guys are nice only doing their jobs. They have a variety of pizzas and pastas to order from and ample seating in the back of the restaurant if you choose to eat there. The staffs were quick and efficient from taking my order to preparing it. I ordered the margarita slice, pepperoni slice, and a cheese slice and everyone was more than happy with the food. This place is listed twice in Yelp for some reason, and it's so horrendous, I thought I'd add my review here too. I just happened to walk in the place by chance at lunchtime. The pizza looked decent enough, and was just out of the oven. However it was really really terrible quality for a few reasons; 1) The slices both fell apart (basically the crust detached from the rest of the pizza once I picked it up). 2) The cheese was tasteless and nasty, plus there was almost no sauce on the slice. 3) The slice was disgustingly oily, so much so that the entire bottom got saturated with drippy yellow oil guck. On 1/12/21, I ordered delivery and the food was not that good. It was bland. I had 5 Pieces Garlic Knots, Pasta with Broccoli Rabe in Garlic and Oil with free salad, Eggplant Parmigiana, and Grilled Chicken Roll with Broccoli for $50. I called them to tell them that the pasta didn't have any taste or oil (it was totally dry and seemed like everything was boiled). The lady who answered made me repeat this 3 times while I tried to ask for a refund. She seemed to not believe me or to be slow in understanding a simple problem. Then she passed me onto the manager (a guy) who was nicer and tried to get me to accept the same pasta. However I didn't want to since I lost faith in the food and service so I asked for a refund. He finally said he would give me a full refund. However, what I saw was a half refund in my email from Grubhub. I called the next day and spoke to the lady and the manager again. The manager said it must be Grubhub's fault. He contacted them who called me. Grubhub told me that Gino's requested that partial amount. I called Gino's and the lady was annoyed but let me talk to the manager who said that one of his employees did it and only saw the option to refund $10 or $20, not the option to select that item, blaming Grubhub. However, if that is true, $20 is much closer than $10. I called Grubhub who said that is not true and she said to talk to them directly instead of the restaurant. I didn't expect to waste so much time (2 days) getting a refund. This was the first time complaining about a delivery order. read more

I used to come here for pizza back in high school, and then for whatever reason stopped just because it is a little out of the way from my house. It is closer to K's house, and the other night we went there for dinner. I immediately noticed that the inside was redone and that it looked great! We decided to go with the fried calamari appetizer and for dinner I had the chicken sorrentino and K had the chicken valdestano which was a special. The fried calamari was great...not chewy and not overcooked. The marinara dipping sauce was the perfect compliment to the crispy calamari. When our dinner plates arrived, I was surprised to see how big the portions were...definitely enough for leftovers. My chicken was amazing. About 4 pieces of chicken topped with prosciutto, eggplant, and fresh mozzarella and covered in a delicious marsala sauce. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly tender the chicken was...I didn't even have to use my knife to cut it! K's chicken had asparagus and melted mozzarella and was in a pink sauce, basically a vodka sauce. I of course tried some of his and it was delicious. Gino's is a local pizzeria on steroids. I say that in that they are not just a place to get a slice and run but have a full menu of dinner and take out items. Place is busy and hopping on a Friday night. Staff greets with you courtesy as you come and leave the place. Waitress was friendly, attentive and food was served quickly. Baked clams were good but too salty and while I love clams, it was very salty. Now good news and bad. They are known for their pizzas and we have enjoyed that in the past. Stick to that. The dinner dishes were mediocre and really had no taste. My stuffed shells with ricotta was not cooked well or the cheese was not? I think the chef had a bad day. I live nearby and order from them a lot. Honestly their food is really good. When you dine in, they give you complementary bread with dipping oil and it is delicious. I usually get their spicy seafood spaghetti and they give huge portions. Their pizzas come in many varieties and I have tried all of them in the past few years and it is really good as well. Only issue I have is the staff, it's a hit or miss. When I go in person, majority of the time they are very nice, but whenever I order over the phone, they are very rude, and I have been hung up on multiple times. Food is consistently terrific I ordered delivery about 2 months ago. Worst experience every in a time when safety/health an issue-I was working from home. One of the few times as a healthcare worker I got to do paperwork but when I go out I use a mask. I did not know delivery meant did not bring to my apt in a building as it is perceived unsafe unless you are in a house-not sure the logic -if someone owned a house and they were ill it is safer. I ordered from them for years new policy should have been mentioned. The delivery man did come up after all with a lecture that he is a grandparent , has to worry about his family while lecturing me without a mask. I recommend going in person and not getting a headache from a lecture or getting endangered from the person who consistently goes to selective doors without a mask, initially on the phone he said "only goes to the elderly and crippled". It has never made me sick and it's just delicious. Don't order the plain cheese and sauce pizza. Get fancy and it will taste so much better. I love their grilled veggie pizza with fresh mozzarella on the bottom or their grandma pizza which I love to add sautéed spinach to. Anything I've ever ordered from here has been amazing. Definitely one of the best pizza places around. Their salads are even fantastic. Love the chicken Cesar salad and the Gino's salad with cheese. They have many different types of pizza as well ofcourse. When you walk in they have all the different types of pizza on display up front- and I don't think I ever had a slice I didn't enjoy. They make sandwiches, have soups, and pasta plates amoung other things. I usually get my stuff to go but there is a large seating area in the back to stay in if you want. Also the staff is really friendly and quick with the orders. It gets very busy in here about prime time lunch time - but they keep the line moving quickly. I have recently started coming here for pasta dishes after mainly only ordering pizza delivery room them. Their grandma pizza is delicious. The crust is always cooked perfectly and there is just the right amount of sauce and cheese on it. Mondays through Wednesdays they offer a special for 12 dollars. It includes a salad, a choice if pasta, a soda, a choice of dessert and coffee or tea. Such a great deal for that price! The portions are not skimpy either! Their rigatoni aka vodka is my favorite!
