Examples of menu items are salads, bagels, crepes, pancakes, French toasts, waffles, omelettes, croissants, paninis and other sandwiches, and coffees. My husband and I ate one breakfast here on a Saturday morning. An employee immediately and courteously greeted us and seated us at a clean and spacious table. Soon she took our order and brought out our drinks and foods. At the end of the meal, she promptly processed our payment and thanked us. Here are my ratings for what my husband and I ate: Turkish Plate - 4.5 stars - I think that Gino might be Turkish, and this entree was one of the few Turkish menu items. It consisted of scrambled eggs, black olives, two cheeses, sliced tomato and cucumber, French fries, toasted bread, jelly, honey, and butter. Fruit Tea Waffle - 5 stars - A waffle was topped with Nutella, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and powdered sugar. The fruits were very fresh, abundant, and sweet. On the side was whipped cream. Egg-bacon Omelet - 4 stars - My husband ate this omelet, and he thought that it tasted good. It was a good size, and it contained bacon, onions, and mozzarella cheese. This place has the look and feel of a great honey hole restaurant. I generally LOVE stumbling into places like this. However.... For us on this day, this whole meal disappointed. The waitstaff was all pleasant and helpful which we greatly appreciated and can not fault them for their service. While I don't like marking places so harshly the only thing I liked eating/drinking here was the water ‍ Let's start with my cinnamon latte. I added one pump of vanilla which is a flavor combo I enjoy often. While the texture of the foam was perfect, the flavor(s) made the drink had an ashtray undertone and I could not drink more than two sips. The first sip to try, the second to make sure my taste buds weren't wrong the first time. That was extremely disappointing because the texture of the foam had me really excited about this drink (I saw one walking back to my table from the ladies room and had to order). I can positively say that the kitchen is very efficient at least this am and we did not wait long before our food came out which was great. However... my western omelet was essentially egg paper with veggies and ham in it. While this wasn't terrible to eat, the texture was a major turnoff and the taste did nothing to excite my tastebuds. So I moved onto my pancake sides... they looked adorable but the texture again was such a turn off. They had a tough on the outside but the inside was total mush. Bleh. The flavor of my plain pancakes was... well they chewed/mushed in my mouth. Again a second item that did absolutely nothing to make me rock with joy in a happy food dance. They serve these pancakes with maple syrup which I love and I figured it would be good considering how northern we are... I was wrong. Even the syrup tasted bland. My son had the Nutella pancakes and he ate them without complaint but he also ate the rest of my omelet without complaint so can we really trust his judgement at this point?!? I think not ‍ I did love that they served the water at the table for us to refill and the water was pleasant tasting (nice and cool/clean... no nasty city water! For the price I absolutely would not come back but because of the atmosphere, being locally owned (best we can tell), and the staff makes it seem worth giving it a try again if you live near here. It will not be a place I try to return to though. The OJ was also good. Didn't taste home squeezed but it was good. Needless to say decent water and OJ WAS NOT worth the $51.xx ($10 tip). It was also slightly disconcerting that one of the waitresses saw my uneaten food and asked if I liked it. While I tried to be polite, I do always give positive and negative comments when asked so they know where they can improve. When I told her it was not food that I liked and she did not attempt to remedy my lack of enthusiasm about anything in front of me. Again for the price... I won't be looking to come here again. Very sad bc I had so much hope. I will pray it's just a bad day for the cooks. read more

We were surprised at the prices. High for the location, portions, and for the coffee. And the name indicates that it will be French food. There were no traditional crepes with lemon juice. It had some French influence. It took a while for the waitress to come and then to get our coffee. We only ordered the drip coffee ( they offer Turkish coffee and French press). The coffee was terrible. And they only had coffee mate on the tables. The waitress did bring me milk, but it took a long time to get her attention. When she refilled the coffee, she slopped it on the table and made no effort to wipe it up or apologize. She was indifferent. Granted she was handling the entire restaurant on her own with two cooks. Some of the food looked ok, but not for their prices and not for their drip coffee. We decided not to eat there. The bathrooms were clean and had character at least. read more

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! A very cute place with quite a menu. I had the Mamma's french toast and my boyfriend had the meat lovers omelette. Both choices were delicious and very filling. Our server was super friendly and helpful with explaining menu options. I have moved away from pittsburgh, but always have a list of must-stops when I'm home for the holidays. Gino's was previously on that list, but after the past 2 visits, I will not be returning. The menu has shrunk and prices have increased significantly; they no longer offer pancakes in a cup for 12.99 and instead want you to add on strawberries $2.00, banana $1.50 to the $14.00 pancakes. I would have been fine paying more if the pancakes weren't burnt with a hair in them. The menus have the prices written in which is just tacky. The waitress was also incredibly rude and turned her back and walked away mid question. What was once a hidden gem is now an overpriced disappointment. read more

Don't be scared off by this place being in a strip. We got chicken crepe, ham & cheese crepe, chicken panini with fries, and egg cheese croissant. The salad, which has arugula, is delicious... totally made by the homemade dressing. Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned. It was super busy when we arrived around 11am; we got the last table in the place. There are 10-12 tables in the front, and the noise level is what you would expect in a small spot like this. The service was good, especially considering how busy they were. We would easily return here for delicious breakfast or lunch! read more

My favorite breakfast spot in the suburbs never disappoints! Their cinnamon latte is SO good (flavorful without feeling like you're drinking a dessert first thing in the morning) - I get it every time we go. The savory crepes are delicious as well. My favorite is the spinach & feta (to which I usually add some other veggies like peppers or mushrooms). It's cheesy & stuffed with vegetables so it fills you up without making you feel stuffed. I also like how they're served with a side salad (the dressing is a really yummy house Italian). It's a delicious, healthy breakfast. I would also highly recommend the egg bread. It's a piece of beautiful brioche toast stuffed with scrambled eggs & several veggies (peppers, onions, etc). Service is quick without feeling rushed, and I've noticed that they have hired more wait staff recently. My only comment would be that they could do more with the ambiance. It's nice & bright, but there isn't anything necessarily "special" about it. Also, if you go with a large group (more than 4) you are seated at a picnic bench table without backs - I was thinking how that might be difficult for older patrons. Cute little place. I think it's Turkish. The crepes are delicious and really big! I got sweet happiness crepes and my girlfriend got Bannutella crepes, both good. They also have different coffee options as well as BYOB so we took a bottle of champagne and had mimosa's. I would recommend Gino's for breakfast/ brunch. read more

My wife got an omelette that was made to order and came out just as she'd asked. It was a generous serving. She ordered the Turkish coffee and was surprised by how thick it was but that's an authentic attribute. She turned over the coffee to me and I enjoyed it. I got the Turkish plate and enjoyed it except the scrambled eggs were dry to my taste. The plate had nice fresh slices of tomato and cucumber which complemented two cheeses , one feta and the other maybe mozzarella. I got the side of sujuk and enjoyed it as a peppery new food. Found Gino's on Yelp and tried it on our way to D.C. from Ohio. We have been trying to patronize independent businesses more than big chain places. What a GREAT find! Right off the highway too. Great menu, the food was fresh made, delicious, real butter, real whipped cream on the French toast, quick, friendly service! French press coffee was fantastic and had enough left to take to-go. Oh - and the coffee mugs were warmed instead of pouring hot coffee into a cold mug. Our gal was so efficient and sweet- we didn't have to ask for anything. Super cute breakfast spot. There was a little bit of a wait but we were seated with in 10-15 mins. Ordered a caramel macchiato asked if they had other milk options but they do not only whole milk. So if you have any milk intolerances do not plan on getting a latte. The caramel macchiato was delicious. We ordered the pink berry pancakes and the fluffy French toast. Both were good and the portions were nicely sized. Only down fall our waitress never checked in on us to see if we needed anything or how our food was. This place was right off the high way on our way to Washington DC from Ohio. It was a tight restaurant but very clean. I loved that you could see into the kitchen and see how fast they were working. Service was great from start to finish. Very well informed and courteous staff. A little higher priced for breakfast but I would say very much worth it. A lot of different items to choose from. Ah seriously!? I came from very far just to see that "We're opened" in one side and "Sorry! We're closed until October" in the other. Why didn't you just modify that in the Google? When we search for a Breakfast service we double check it if opened or not only if is Holiday but this morning was a regular day in a business hours (Thursday at 10:00). I just came hoping to have a delicious breakfast and I was so hungry than I searched in the Google and it was written that it was opened today. What disappointing when I got out of the car saw a huge sign saying "We're opened " and right on the left side "we're closed in a very small paper handwriting sign". On our way to DC we stopped to get an early lunch. For our family of six the large benches at the 12 seat "picnic" table was perfect. At our table we feasted on chicken strips/fries, bacon omelette (with a large amount of bacon), steak and feta omelette, burger, and pancake in a bowl. The stars of the table were the omelettes- these were thin and perfectly cooked, served with salad and choice of toast, pancakes or fruit. The serving size of the fries and chicken strips was huge (2 children could have shared) and the pancakes in a bowl looked very sweet! Worth the stop if you like crepes and omelettes! read more

I am such a fan. We stopped for breakfast on Veteran's Day nervous that it would be busy but we didn't have a wait. This seems to be a small, family run diner. The restaurant is super clean, with outdoor seating and a really big menu. I had the spinach feta omelet and it was perfect. Made quickly, friendly and fast service.
