I felt bad…read morebecause I was in a bad mood in two visits - but I want to emphasize that it was not because of him. Rather, it was the circumstances which led me here. Long story short, I had shoulder tendinitis due to overuse. He was very caring, informative, and referred me to physical therapy. He was also very patient as I described the details of how I got injured. He even gave me a much needed work restriction along with exercises while I healed. Thank you again for helping me get better

My wife has left 3 messages and even left a message on the patient portal and still no call. She is in horrible pain from her shoulder and can't get someone to call her back to make an appointment or even pick up the phone. This is now the 2nd time this has happened to her with Dr Mora staff. About a year ago she need to be seen for her knee and get an MRI and never got the call back from the assistant, she had to reach out to Dr Mora on social media to get him to help her get scheduled. That was ridiculous. She loves Dr Mora because he is a great doctor but his assistant definitely brings that rating down. Any kind of acknowledgement for her (yamilet) if thats her name would be appreciated so that we know you have gotten the message and will be in touch.

He took the time to find the right meds and really listen to how I was feeling in order to make the appropriate medication changes that basically helped me get to where I am now, which is like he gave me my life back. Dr Chang also does a variety of injections (trigger point and others) that significantly improved my ability to walk. I attribute that to his knowledge and doing the correct injections that are necessary for my individual pain issues. I am so blessed to have Dr Chang managing my pain. I look forward to each office visit, knowing he intently listens to how I am doing and truly cares. Thats something I wish for anyone suffering with chronic pain. The entire staff is truly wonderful. I just love them all, they are always so nice and professional. The office decor is beautiful and has a relaxing feel. *** Update June 2019 *** Dr. Eric Chang has continued providing amazing care. The doctors were skilled, attentive, and genuinely caring -- I felt completely safe in their hands. A very special thank you to Jen B, who was nothing short of extraordinary. She treated me with genuine compassion and understanding from start to finish. Jen took the time to learn about my sensory sensitivities and made thoughtful adjustments so I could feel calm and comfortable throughout my care. She also took into account past trauma I've experienced and made sure that nothing about my procedure or recovery would be triggering. Her empathy, professionalism, and gentle reassurance made all the difference. Jen is the kind of nurse who truly changes lives -- I will never forget her kindness. I also want to mention Yuri, the receptionist who checked me in. She was polite, professional, and very pleasant -- a great first impression at check-in. Unfortunately, the experience at discharge was very different. The receptionist seated on the right side of the front desk was extremely rude and dismissive to my mom when she came to pick me up after surgery. Her tone and attitude were completely uncalled for, and it was upsetting after such compassionate care from everyone else. Even my seven-year-old daughter, who was with my mom, noticed and asked why that lady was being rude -- and that says a lot. When a child can recognize disrespect in a medical setting, it's clear there's a serious issue. In short: * Medical team: Excellent. * Jen B: Outstanding -- trauma-informed, kind, and deeply empathetic. * Yuri (check-in): Friendly and professional. * Front desk (right-side receptionist): Rude and unprofessional; absolutely needs attention. If management addresses the front desk behavior, this would easily be a 5-star facility. The care itself -- especially from Jen and the doctors -- deserves nothing less

When I was in a state of anxiety and trying to see as many doctors as possible to get different…read moreopinions, I found Dr. Melikian at DISC. I had generally good experiences with doctors I had seen there in the past. He is more of a spine specialist, focusing on the neck and back. When I came in, I was having issues with both my neck and shoulders. After looking at my neck X-rays and MRIs, he noted that my shoulders were likely the bigger issue at the time. I could move my neck up and down without too much trouble, but my shoulders had difficulty rotating. Despite that, he was able to refer me to another DISC doctor, Dr. Shore. More importantly, I never felt like I was being rushed out the door, unlike many doctors who seem to just want to get patients in and out for a paycheck. In fact, toward the end of my appointment, he made sure I did not have any more questions before we parted. To me, that is a sign of a doctor who actually cares, which feels surprisingly rare given the number of doctors I have seen over the last several years. While he was great, I also have to give a special shoutout to his assistant, Joanna. She might be one of the best doctor's assistants I have seen. The assistants I have known generally get a good idea of what is going on and log your symptoms so the doctor can look at you more efficiently, but Joanna went above and beyond. She did more than a typical assistant would by checking the multiple issues I was having, including rotator tests, hand-grip strength, shoulder rotation, and various sensitive points. Similar to Dr. Melikian, I felt like she genuinely cared about what was going on and wanted to make sure I was receiving the right treatment. She was the first person to make me realize that I needed to focus more on my shoulder. Of course, she still told the doctor about everything just in case, but it says something when an assistant does more thorough checks than some actual MDs I have seen. It also says something that, even though I did not receive treatment from Dr. Melikian and he ultimately referred me elsewhere, he was one of the few doctors who was very assertive about making sure I scheduled a follow-up appointment. Even when I was in a rush to leave, his assistant reached out and emailed me to schedule an appointment, making sure I was okay with it. That is the sign of a doctor who really cares. Overall, in a weird way, I am kind of sad that my issues were not more related to my neck, since both Dr. Melikian and his assistant, Joanna, were great. Based on the reviews I have seen on Yelp and Google, many people seem to have had similarly positive experiences. If your issues are more related to your neck or back, I would consider getting an opinion from Dr. Melikian.

The entire staff was wonderful and easy to get a hold of. My only regret is not to have found this wonderful human being earlier. Good job to this clean facility and all of the staff. And one more note to add, the X-ray facility across the street is also a 10 out of 10.

When I came across Dr Barry Marks and looked at his credentials I knew instantly he was the THE ONE I was looking for. I phoned his office and he told me he could see me that same day. I couldn't have found a better Doctor to handle my injuries. He spent 2 hours with me going over the details of the accident and examining me. I was indeed injured with not only whiplash but also a concussion. The following visit with him we spent an hour going over an extensive review of my injuries and a plan to get me back to better health. He also told me he would be right next to me through the whole process and also help guide me every step of the way. Boy was that an understatement. He suggested I use an attorney only because of the complexity of my case but if I didn't want to use one he would hold my hand and help me till the end. At the end which was about a year and a half later everything he had said was true. My attorney had handled everything in dealing with the insurance company and making sure all medical expenses where paid for including Dr Marks and I also received compensation for pain and suffering. Unfortunately about 3 weeks ago I was rear ended again and I knew exactly who I was calling. This time both me and my daughter were injured and again he met with both of us that same day. It amazes me the knowledge he has and even if I have a question about something that doesn't make sense he has an answer for it and he takes the time to explain to me whatever it is I'm questioning. This time around I have been receiving emails from him daily about topics that are so relevant to what is happening with my case. Just when I encounter a situation or have a question about something here comes an email from Dr Berry Marks which addresses and answers my questions. It's almost like he has been doing this for a very long time and he knows exactly when and what to say. Honestly that's exactly what is happening. He HAS been helping people heal and recover and receive compensation for their injuries since 1986. He has so much experience he is teaching this stuff to other doctors. I guarantee there isn't anybody I could find with more experience, knowledge, expertise, patience, flexibility with appointments, and guidance if you have been injured in a car accident. He is definitely ONE OF A KIND and I say this from experience. Thank you Dr. Marks for everything you do to help me and my daughter through this scary situation. He explained every detail as well as dispelled mysteries. My Mom was very comfortable communicating with him because he also spoke Mandarin. It has been a year since her surgery (5/2021) and she just had her 1 year follow up - clean, well-healed new hip. During the course leading up to the surgery, post surgery, his office team used multiple ways to check in on my Mom's pain and healing progress. Emails to the office were always promptly answered. My Mom was as staunch "no surgery" advocate. Refused to have surgery for years and met with multiple Specialist, therapists, and surgeon for her pain. Finally, after years of pain, she meets Dr. Yin and now can't stop talking about him. She recommends him to all her friends who is looking for an orthopedic surgeon. The original implant positioning was dramatically outside specifications--confirmed by imaging and the actual findings during revision surgery. Even worse, the measurements documented in the original operative report were contradicted by the actual imaging and surgical findings. This isn't speculation or opinion. It was proven by the surgeons who had to fix his work. Both hip components were put in incorrectly and needed replacement. He left me with a disaster that required major reconstructive surgery and a brutal recovery. Five years of pain because this doctor couldn't do the job correctly and couldn't accurately document what he had done. Incompetent, dishonest, and completely unacceptable.
