Dr. Danto performed an outpatient lumbar epidural in 2016 for sciatic pain stemming from an L5-S1 disk issue for which I was awaiting surgery. The order cam from a very tallented local surgeon. Unfortunately, Dr. Danto did not spear to be so talented after the procedure. The epidual did noting for the pain but increased it. I have no idea if he missed his target, targeted the wrong location, or what. But what ever he did, totally eiratated my nerve. I would never go back to him again and will in the future avoid epidurals and needles when all possible. read more

Dr Danto's team missed a 16 mm herniation in my spine. They refused to help with additional tests MRI, etc. I finally left the practice and was informed the huge herniation had been there for some time. How could they not have known. Was treated by Josh a lot of the time. Dr Danto treated me too. Office staff is overworked. They just don't answer calls. I am an 85 year old man who after 34 years on the bench felt it necessary to retire due in part to back problems. I was referred to OSI, and specifically to Dr. Michael Danto by my family physician Dr. Duong. Dr. Danto ordered MRIs and after reviewing same performed ablations. He recommended Physical Therapy by Jennifer, head of PT at OSI. The ablations did not completely reduce the back pain. Not long after the ablations and in previously determined locations, he performed two level epidural injections, after which I was for the first time in many years free from serious low back pain. Periodically I return for additional epidural injections when the discomfort returns, and it will. That's not Doctor Danto's fault, It's just human failings. Doctor Danto's staff has always been kind, caring and efficient never discourteous. Dr. Danto is well respected in the medical community and certainly one of the finest doctors in Orange County. I readily recommend OSI generally and Dr. Michael Danto specifically for his role in medicine. read more

Dr. Danto is professional and knowledgable. What attracted me to years of being his continued patient, is that he is compassionate to my needs to my back and knees. He takes the time to talk to you as patient and listen to what your needs are. That gives me a feeling of trust and caring. That is so important to me for my health and well being. This office deserves a ZERO - The Worst Medical practice I ever encountered - I am a RN over 40 years - & I never have experienced such unprofessional behavior - NO ONE from that office returns calls!!!- Holds your MRI results hostage until you see the MD - ok if its one week - SIX WEEKS !! had to fight to get my results. RUDE,RUDE, RUDE, when you do speak to anyone!! - There are many good MD's out there in Orange county who care about their patients - This MD office & there are as many as 10 plusMDs here evidently do NOT CARE about YOU - now imagen if you have surgery with anyone of them - you WANT a CARING RELIABLE MD who will be there for you - STAY away -find a practice who will treat you with respect & dignity - if anyone in this office cares to discuss this with me one professional to another please feel free to call me - No way to treat the public -especially people who are in pain !!!! Dr Danto is a good doctor however my husband had an epidural with him. Dr. Danto uses the surgery center on the first floor who then charged us $5000 for a 10 minute procedure. It was not surgery! They did not cover the cost with my husband or myself otherwise we would not have done the epidural with him. That is robbing people!!! Now we are left to cover the cost of the dr (which we are more than happy to pay) AND a $5000 BILL! read more

Referred to Dr. Danto by friend, as I wanted a consult for my back trouble, but no surgery. Office was super organized and efficient, and the staff was very nice and friendly. Dr. Danto spent a lot of time with me and answered all my questions. Definitely my Ortho office going forward, even though they are a drive for me. read more

Great Doctor, but office manner and wait time is bad. I've been a patient of Dr Danto for low back injury since 2013. I've been a nurse for 20 years. he is a good doctor. Patient and compassionate and best of all, he listens to me. And when my work Comp insurance denies an obvious treatment for me he really works hard to talk to insurance and convince them what I need. That's a rare jewel in a doctor in this HMO/numerical driven care system. I've around enough doctors to know if he gives a damn or not. And he does. The downside is that he is scheduled very very tightly. On average I wait more than one hour in the lobby and then about 20 mins in the room before he sees me. When He sees me he takes time which is why there's subsequent delays on appt wait time. I get that. Its frustrating while waiting but I get what I need for my low back care. That's why HE gets 4 stars otherwise would be 5. So if you need immediate or urgent appt it's not going to happen and that is reflected on other review's comment. If you can over look office manner, long appt and wait time then this doctor is for you. He specializes in rehabilitation too which is a plus because after an orthopedic injury comes serious rehab by a knowing doctor is a must. read more

Reason I'm giving a one star is because I can't give this facility a zero! I left a message via voice mail this morning and was confident that office staff would call me back to schedule an appointment as I reported I have been having severe lumbar pain, swelling to left knee and numbness/tingling to left foot for past 4 days. Well after 2 hours pass and no return call I called second time and still no answer except for voice mail again. I dialed operator and they transfered me to Dr Danto's office staff, Lizbeth, who after listening to my information regarding back pain ect., placed me on hold and returned to inform me that I would not be able to be seen until September which made that approximately 6 weeks! Lizbeth transfered my call to another physician in this group Dr. Kruse which I was the same response as well! Please, please take careful note! If you have severe or any pain DON'T try this group. I have a ppo insurance and even this did not get me in to see doctor to help me with my pain! I was referred to Community Orthopedic Medical Group by my private physician and this group returned my call within minutes of my message voice mail. I will be seen tomorrow and office staff "Elaine" was very professional caring and triaged my call for extra precautions, ie...clots, redness, swelling ect...what a difference ! read more
