I got my pec repaired by Dr. Mora on October 2025. My experience with him was amazing, he's the most accessible doctor I've ever had. Always willing to communicate and follow up even not in office. He gives out his WhatsApp if you're his patient if you have any questions. My surgery went without a hitch and very pleased with my repair. He put my scar where it's hidden and there's no deformity on my chest anymore I would say the only downside is that because he's so well known and the guy for pec tears, his office can be quite busy and the staff will sometimes not get back to you so you'll have to follow up yourself on the status of administrative stuff. read more

Wish I could leave a negative star- they deserve 0 Negligent, Dishonest, and Completely Unprofessional!! Just out to make a buck!!! This doctor's office is an absolute disaster. I've never experienced such blatant incompetence and disregard for patients in a medical setting. I was strung along for months delaying my surgery for over 6 months. Finally, I was fed up with their asinine practices and went and got the care I needed by a real Dr. and medical staff that actually care. The surgery coordinator is a flat-out liar. She constantly delays communication, makes excuses, and actively prolongs the process of getting real help. She'll promise a call back, follow-up, or scheduling update--and then disappear. Even lying about insurance and other vitally important information. It's not just frustrating; it's cruel when people are waiting for serious procedures. What's worse is that even the staff seem fed up with her. You can tell there's tension internally, and honestly, it shows in every aspect of how the office is run. Meanwhile, the doctor seems far more interested in building his social media presence than actually treating patients. He breezes into appointments distracted, gives vague or rushed responses, and clearly has his eye on being a social media influencer, not a physician. If you want real care, you won't find it here. The staff even make comments about this thinking its funny. This office is a mess from the top down: unprofessional, dishonest, and completely disorganized. No one takes responsibility for anything. It's a dangerous environment for anyone who truly needs medical attention. If the Dr. actually cared about his practice and patients he would have stepped in. Not once during my time with them did he reach out, not even after my issue with his staff. Avoid this place at all costs. Dr Steve Mora was amazing but the lack of communication from this office is beyond ridiculous. I have been trying to make a payment for a previous visit and I can't get in touch with anyone. I called multiple times and left a message but no one will return my call. I am just trying to pay my bill! I hate leaving a bad review for the staff (again, Dr Mora was great), but I believe this needs to be fixed and I still don't know how to pay my bill. Doctor Mora is a great doctor and repaired my sons new injury . I've had some issues with staff members and getting ahold of the office multiple times . My son is now at 10 month post appointment so we're almost done coming here thankfully . Everytime we come we have 1-2 hr wait because they consistency over book . I've heard multiple ppl check in at the same exact time I'm waiting for with him. I was so close to canceling and finding another surgeon bc of a lot different issues but nothing towards the actual doctor . Sadly, I wouldn't come back to this office . More negatives than positives. Dr Mora is an outstanding surgeon. He repaired my right knee that had a complex meniscus root tear. I had gone to a couple of orthopedics surgeons, before seeing Dr Mora who all told me there was nothing I could do to repair the injury. That a root repair was a difficult procedure and they did not have the experience or skill to perform. They told to take pain meds and a few years down the line, when my cartilage had completely worn down to come back for a knee replacement. I was not satisfied with that answer and was determined to find someone who was able to perform the procedure. Thankfully, I found Dr Mora. Before the meniscus root repair performed by Dr Mora, I had severe pain while walking and I was unable to fully extend my leg. He reattached the root without leaving a scar and now 3 years later I am pain free and have a fully functional knee. I am able to exercise, hike and run without any pain. I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Mora evaluate a knee injury I incurred while surfing. I had the option to get checked more locally, but made the drive out to his office because his expertise, precision, thoroughness--and, importantly, empathy--is abundantly and well known among elite pro athletes who suffer more critical injuries. I'm no pro, but--as a former Special Ops paratrooper who's already put his knees through a beating while jumping into dropzones with 100 pound rucks, as an older guy who still likes going heavy on leg day, and knowing knee injuries are extremely common in my favorite sport (surfing)--I wanted first rate care to hedge my bets and ensure my knees continue to function optimally; they're essential for continuing mobility as I age. I'm busy, in the middle of an expensive and time consumptive cutting cycle at the gym, and required the most accurate assessment and the very best advice the first time around. Lord knows, if the diagnosis is wrong, the prescribed next steps (or lack thereof) will also be wrong. Identifying exactly what needs to be done in order to heal, and what's safe to continue to do--what's safe to train--while healing...that's super important. And that's totally what Dr. Mora delivered. He got excellent imaging--MRI and x-ray--in his office on the same day as the consult...received the reports, and then reviewed these *in detail* (both image types, side by side, and magnified down to the most minute level) with me. He really took the time... And I think that's what really mattered the most. You can tell he's truly practicing medicine--not merely churning through patients to pay his overhead...but, rather, because he really loves it. His bedside manner put me at ease, and I think--in large measure--massively reduced my anxiety and maybe psychosomatically made my knee ache noticeablely less. I feel 1000 percent confident in his diagnosis. Finally, his entire staff could not have been more delightful. Extremely accommodating. I previously had knee surgery in 2017. It was difficult to speak with a live person to make an appointment in the past. Now, it is beyond ridiculous. Recently, I have been having a lot of knee pain. I called 5/26, 6/1, 6/2, 6/5 and today 6/6/2023. Every time I have left messages in order to make an appointment. I have never received a return call. There are days the pain is unbearable. Doctor Mora performed a revision surgery for my chronic pec tear. The tear was over 12 years old when initially repaired, and 14 years old (and completely torn again) by the time I saw Doctor Mora. When I saw Doctor Mora I was in really bad shape physically and my function was impaired to the point where it hurt even to work at a computer or to lay down in bed. I'm about 11 months out from surgery and have gained a tremendous amount of function that I honestly did not think was possible to get back. My experience with Dr. Steve Mora started back in 4/28/23 after an MRI showed a complex tear of the medial meniscus in my left knee. At that time, I was afraid of getting the arthroscopic surgery due to the anticipated long recovery time of 2 to 3 months, as noted by his associate Dr. Andrew Germanovich (who likewise deserves a 5 Star review as well). After much deliberation and the fact that it was getting more difficult to even walk the dog around the block, or ride my stationary bike at home, I finally decided to proceed with the surgery on 6/29/23. Dr. Mora took the time to first discuss what he was going to do and the surgery itself went very smoothly. His staff were likewise very proficient, friendly and showed genuine care. After 6 weeks of physical therapy, I had my post-op appointment with Dr. Mora on 9/8/23 and I was extremely happy that my recovery had gone so well and am now able to walk again as well as ride my stationary bike. So I had a Biceps Tenodesis and a partial tear of the Right rotator cuff, with other debridement. It has been a year since my surgery. I went 7 years from injury and could not take the pain and sleep loss any longer. Dr. Mora did an excellent job. My swimming and Surfing is back to normal, (pre injury) and I feel strong with no pain. Dr. Mora is also a proponent of PRP injections as well as cells from bone marrow to assist the healing process. I had severe knee pain from powerlifting. My dad has always been taken care of by Dr. Mora. Mora is arguably one of the best surgeons in O.C that I have met. He is very knowledgeable in sports medicine & understood what it meant to me to be active. I had pretty rough cartilage damage under my patella that required an arthroscopic surgery.
