Before going to Dr. Barry, I was going to a different chiropractor because I had sciatic pain in my hip which was coming from my scoliosis. Dr. Barry Marks is by far the best Chiropractor I've ever been to. He's patient and calm, he listens and discusses everything he's going to do before he does it. I went from using a walker to occasionally using a cane, but often times walking assisted. He is so kind and really makes you feel heard. A few years ago I was in a car accident and was rear ended and I knew I was injured so I spent a whole day researching the best doctor to handle my injury. When I came across Dr Barry Marks and looked at his credentials I knew instantly he was the THE ONE I was looking for. I phoned his office and he told me he could see me that same day. I couldn't have found a better Doctor to handle my injuries. He spent 2 hours with me going over the details of the accident and examining me. I was indeed injured with not only whiplash but also a concussion. The following visit with him we spent an hour going over an extensive review of my injuries and a plan to get me back to better health. He also told me he would be right next to me through the whole process and also help guide me every step of the way. Boy was that an understatement. He suggested I use an attorney only because of the complexity of my case but if I didn't want to use one he would hold my hand and help me till the end. At the end which was about a year and a half later everything he had said was true. My attorney had handled everything in dealing with the insurance company and making sure all medical expenses where paid for including Dr Marks and I also received compensation for pain and suffering. Unfortunately about 3 weeks ago I was rear ended again and I knew exactly who I was calling. This time both me and my daughter were injured and again he met with both of us that same day. It amazes me the knowledge he has and even if I have a question about something that doesn't make sense he has an answer for it and he takes the time to explain to me whatever it is I'm questioning. This time around I have been receiving emails from him daily about topics that are so relevant to what is happening with my case. Just when I encounter a situation or have a question about something here comes an email from Dr Berry Marks which addresses and answers my questions. Where do I begin? My dad starting seeing Dr. Marks in 2007 and always came home incredibly happy with his care and his pain went away pretty rapidly. About 3 years ago I was beginning to experience a lot of pain in my upper back and neck. The pain was getting to the point where I was feeling incredibly uncomfortable and could barely sit in my desk all day at school (at the time I was in graduate school). My dad suggested that I schedule an appointment to see Dr. Marks for chiropractic care. I set up an appointment with him and went in for my consultation. Setting up an appointment to see Dr. Marks was the easiest appointment I ever made! I called and was able to get an appointment for the same week! That was impressive!! When I went in to see Dr. Marks I was incredibly nervous; I was not exactly sure what to expect! I had not been to the chiropractor in YEARS and was nervous that he would find something wrong with me! Well I went into his office, he did a brief consult with me, took some x-rays, adjusted my back, and away I went! That same day I began feeling 10 times better and my pain was starting to go away! Within the next couple of days Dr. Marks called me as he had the films back from my x-rays. I went in to see him and he sat me down, explained what he saw (which was Scoliosis), and then worked with me on a treatment plan. That day I was nervous and scared because I wasn't sure what to expect next. Dr. Marks told me that I would need to see him three times a week and that I needed to take different vitamins everyday while seeing him. Some of the vitamins he recommended were: Vitamin D, a Probiotic, Vitamin C, and a daily vitamin. Dr. Marks assured me that he was going to help me and that within a month I would notice a difference in my pain levels. Now, let me take a step back... At the time of all of this I was in graduate school and was not working; there was no way I could afford seeing Dr. Marks THREE TIMES A WEEK! I shared this with Dr. Marks and he was able to work with me on the cost so that I could afford to see him three times a week and take care of my health! Which was AMAZING!! I have NEVER had a Dr. Work with me the way Dr. Marks did! After about a month of seeing Dr. Marks three times a week and taking my vitamins I began to feel 100 times better! Every time I went into his office his receptionist was FANTASTIC! I always felt like I was going to a friend's house. They always made me feel welcomed and right at home! My wife and I have been going to Dr. Marks for many years now. This began as no other chiropractor was able to diagnose her back problems, which had gotten so bad that she couldn't sit for more than 5 minutes. Dr. Marks and his staff are amazing at what they do. They have helped me through a herniated disc, a tailbone injury, and a shoulder injury. My teenage son was recently diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome and in effort to find a natural approach at helping to maintain his symptoms I decided to take my son to a chiropractor. I was referred to Dr. Marks by a friend who told me adjustments might help. I took my son in and explained the situation to the doctor, he knew quite a bit about Tourette and came up with a plan which included special exercises, diet, and adjustments to help relieve some stress and tension in my son that could alleviate the frequency of the "ticks". Outstanding experience. About 6weeks before I started treatment w Dr Marks I was in a 70mph head on collision. It was amazing cause initially I had no injuries until one day I was casually walking and when I stepped something in my neck shifted and all of a sudden I couldn't turn my head at all and every step and move I was in such agonizing pain I almost went to the hospital. I went to see a chiropractor up the road from my home for easy convenience, but when it comes to your body I've learned you should do a lot more research and go w recommendations.
