Dr. Lin is incredible. I was suffering from left knee pain and initially saw another orthopedic surgeon at a large orthopedic office. That surgeon did not do knee replacements, but was able to tell me I needed a total knee replacement. When I started to look around for a new orthopedic surgeon, I ruled some out as they were difficult to contact and I was not impressed by their appointment system. I ended up seeing Dr. Lin because not only are his credentials impeccable, but his staff is extremely responsive - they answer calls within 1-3 rings, they are extremely easy to deal with, setting appointments and answering questions quickly and responsively, they helped set me up with paperwork to take to AAA for a disabled placard, and they are just overall a really friendly bunch. I had a Mako assisted robotic total knee replacement on Friday last week and the doctor called me the next day (I wasn't expecting a call on the weekend and it was wonderful and reassuring to hear from him the dat after this major surgery). He has done an excellent job making me feel taken care of, from my initial visit when I was anxious and crying about having surgery; to some things I wanted to try before I was ready to leap into surgery (hyaluronic acid shots, and PRP shots); and, when it seemed surgery was the only answer to my issues, sending me to prehab PT to get my body as ready for surgery as possible. Dr Lin and his team were incredible to work with! He is a very talented surgeon and artist. I got my left hip replaced on 11/21/22 in Irvine, Ca.. I traveled from San Diego to have the procedure with Dr Lin because he does the anterior approach, but more importantly, because of his reputation! From the first time I met him I knew I had made the right choice. He was very attentive and empathetic to my problems and answered all my questions thoroughly. . Working with his team to coordinate pre-op appointments was a breeze. I took only one pain pill the night after surgery and was walking on my own after three days with no walker or cane. I stopped taking Tylenol on the third day. Now at 7 weeks post-op, I'm fully functional and even working out at a higher level than before surgery. I came here to check on some pain I was having in my leg muscle back in May so this is a long overdue review. The office is clean and the front desk is friendly. Dr. Lin was highly detective, asked questions about my injury, did some stretches with me to see how it was, and we went the route of physical therapy as he didn't think it was something seriously damaged. Very efficient checked my insurance ahead of time and emailed xray request, so it would be there for doctor to review with me. This saved a second visit. Ruptured my ACL more than a year ago and Dr. Lin helped with my ACL reconstruction. Prior to the surgery, my knee was unstable and thanks to him I've now regain stability in life. Going to the doctor visit prior and post surgery is a breeze. The wait time is minimal and Dr. Lin check the progress periodically to make sure the recovery is on schedule. During COVID the doctor's office is kept clean and take all proper precautions. Dr . Lin is the best doctor I've ever seen. He saved my dad. My dad is 80 years old, he fell three months ago, he had a transcervical fracture of the femoral neck with 1.3 cm displacement of the fracture fragments. When we saw Dr. Lin, my dad was painful and couldn't walk. Dr. Lin is very skilled and kind, he took his time to review my dad's X-ray and pointed out how emergency my dad needed this surgery. I was recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis. Dr. Lin gave me a corticosteroid knee injection. As expected, I had pain for a few days. Several days after the injection, I had tremendous pain which woke me up around 4 am. I was so helpless and decided to call the office anyway. I realized it was Sunday and no one would listen to the message. Around 9 am, to my surprise Dr. Lin called me and said that I called the office but dd not leave any message. I was so happy he called. He provided me his medical advice to solve my pain problem. He also squeezed me into his busy schedule and saw me the next day. I have been active all my life and thankfully have not had any major problems. That is until early this year when I started having shoulder pain. I was referred to Dr. Lin by a good friend. Both him and his staff Lizzie are amazing. Lizzie is very friendly and responsive to all my concerns. Dr. Lin really took the time to explain the problem and my options. I've never had surgery and was deadly afraid of it. Dr. Lin understood that and told me surgery was an option but that he recommended that I try physical therapy first. Unfortunately my shoulder pain worsened. However, I'm happy that I chose to undergo arthroscopic shoulder surgery with him. It has been 4 months and my shoulder feels great. I've just started playing tennis for the first time in months. I hope I never have to see another orthopedic surgeon again but if I do, it'll be Dr. Lin. read more

I cannot thank Dr. Lin enough for giving me my active lifestyle back. I ruptured my ACL playing basketball, and went to see multiple ortho specialists, but eventually choose this doctor because not only did graduate from a top-notch program(Harvard), but he had a wonderful personality, caring attitude, and his staff was excellent. I felt that going with his smaller office gave me a more personal feel, whereas some other offices made me feel like a number and rushed me out of the office after only spending a few minutes with me. Dr. Lin took the time to review my MRI and point out exactly what he was going to do surgically. He took the time to explain the different types of ACL reconstructions(I had no idea there were different options), about recovery, my chances of playing sports again, and I never felt rushed or that I was asking dumb questions. We talked about my goal to continue leading a real active lifestyle, and he was really clear about what my activities should be at all stages of my rehab.
