Because the place was full. On a Thursday night. Seems like they have a lot of faithful customers of the retired variety. Which is wonderful. Upon sitting down at my table, I noticed a spec on my glass. I noticed some specs on my silverware. I'm not talking about water spots. The place is a bit musty old carpet. My server was a gentleman named Karl it was very attentive and did a great job. I want to give him his due. I ordered chicken Parmesan with Alfredo. The portion is large. Very large. But the quality of the chicken was below average. The Alfredo was good. A salad that came before the entrée was bargain basement. Low quality, not fresh lettuce variety. This is a favorite dish of mine so it really disappointed. The chocolate pie at the end was decent. Presented well.

We paired our meal with a wonderful Pinot Grigio that complemented everything beautifully. Great food, great wine, and exceptional service. Jeff definitely helped make our visit memorable. As for our dine in experiences, we go with the Caesar salad and Dolce Pesto pizza. I've gotten it both in a 12" and 18" size and both were equally delicious. The bar is quick, we like to sit at the tables in that space and have a glass of wine and a beer with our meal. So delicious and always have leftovers to bring home! I made 530 reservations three weeks in advanced for Christmas Eve, only the lounge was available…read more We decided to arrive a little early to have a cocktail at the bar. There was not any parking available, the entire parking lot was full. We decided to go down the street for a bit. I was dropped at the door and the crowd was to the door. After a bit I realized no one was moving and this was just the wait for tables. I was able to push through to the greeter and let hostess know we had arrived. I then attempted to use the bathroom that was also overflowing with patrons. By the time I was able to sift through the crowd again our table was available in the lounge. We had a party of four that could barely squash into the tiny booth and a guests coat from another table was blocking a portion of the very small opening to the booth. By this time I was ready to call it an evening, the congested area was just very uncomfortable. Large parties just standing in the lounge area many with small children. It would have been more appropriate to have families not utilizing the lounge wait outside if there was no waiting space in the corridor. Our server was friendly and very efficient. I had a salad with crumbly blue cheese. Surf and Turf medium rare. The steak was very rare. Other guests had sampler, and pasta with meatballs. The food was good other than my steak being rare. I had a pomegranate martini for my second cocktail. My portion of the bill with tip was $120 for surf and turf and one martini. The first round of drinks was paid for at the bar. I thought it was a bit steep for what I received but it was a holiday so why not treat yourself! I did purchase a $50 GC as well and it seemed I was going to have to get back to hostess stand, fortunately our server was able to accommodate the purchase for me! There was no way of getting through the crowd again. It was now after 7pm and the commotion was increasing. As we exited there was a loud dispute and two vehicles yelling profanities at each other this went on for nearly five minutes as we were trying to get to our vehicle that was in the line of fire. Several other guests also seemed to be caught up in this stand off. Fortunately the dispute was broken up peacefully. I don't think I will be coming back on a holiday, to say the least.

I was on a group bus trip and our lunch stop was here. I had heard many good things about Osteria…read moreso I was excited to try their food. It was a fairly large group and they had us in a separate room, which was very nice. It was busy for lunch so it took a while to get our drinks, but it was nice after a full morning to sit and relax and talk. They have a wood fired pizza oven and the tables were brought out several different pizzas to start our meal. They were perfectly cooked, thin crust and various toppings. Our buffet started and it was a crispy, fresh Caesar salad with 2 kinds of dressing. There was Italian bread and the main course was Chicken Francaise. The chicken was thin, tender and had a beautiful egg coating and the lemony sauce was full of flavor. I ended up putting my chicken on the Caesar salad and using a little of the balsamic dressing.... perfect. They served cannolis for dessert and they had crisp shells and a creamy filling. As we were leaving, one of the servers offered me a takeout container with some slices of leftover pizza.....it was perfect for lunch the next day. The servers were very nice and patient and very efficient with our service. I am looking forward to my next visit.

My fault, I should have selected that as an option... The doordash has many, many options and its a little overwhelming because of it. I really want to see this place stay open Definitely stay away if you're looking for a trendy spot or a quick bite. Our dinner clocked in at right around two hours. The biggest issue was how backed up everything was. The hostess was running around handling multiple things at once, so it took way longer than it should have just to get greeted and seated--which is always a huge pet peeve of mine. Once we were at the table, the bar got slammed, so our wine and drinks didn't even come until after the appetizer was already on the table. With how slow things were moving, I figured they'd at least comp a drink or dessert or something to smooth it over, but not this time. That said, the kitchen still knows what it's doing: Baked Scrod: Honestly one of my absolute favorite meals in the area. Spot on as always good price and huge portion. Calamari: Fantastic.
