Moro's Table was a really nice dining experience. It was quaint inside, with nice holiday decor and a relaxed vibe. The staff were kind and accommodating throughout the evening and service was prompt and fluid. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Love that they offer full and half orders. A special shout-out to how beautifully cooked the sides were. Everyone loves a good main but when you put the effort into the veggies that come with the main, to make them delicious you deserve more accolades. Absolutely nailed it. It was a Friday evening not overly busy for an earlier dinner, but they do take reservations so it never hurts to get one. Easy place to recommend, Enjoy!! read more

Everything was amazing here. Maybe it was that their menu just seemed to have a lot of the things we like, but all in one place. Oysters on the half shell were fresh, clean, and well shucked. Crab rangoon sushi roll was great. My snapper with mango salsa was delicious. My wife said the tenderloin she ordered was the most tender and best she'd ever had. I used to live in Auburn and went to Moro's table a lot more often than I do now, but I have always enjoyed them as a special occasion restaurant. We went a few weeks ago for Mother's Day brunch. What drew me to their menu was that it wasn't a buffet but rather a pre-select 3 or 4 course menu (similar to Dining Weeks). The restaurant itself is very nice, kitty corner to Wegmans in Auburn. They have some parking out front and additional parking behind the restaurant. My only complaint was that it was a little dark inside the restaurant. The food and service were great! The chicken and waffles was sweet but packed a little heat. The bread pudding dessert is on their normal menu and is something I would get every time. Really disappointing..visited Moro's in Skaneatles and liked the experience.Was expecting the same here but was really let down.The food was a split decision between a party of 5..2 loved it( the filet and seafood patties) 2 liked it but not loved it.and one thought it was terrible (the Risotto was awful) ... But the service is what really ruined the evening for us.Seated promptly at our reserved time of 6:45 but waited for the first acknowledgement of our presence till 7:05-:20 mins...nothing.Our eventual waitress passed us at least 5-7 times and never even looked our direction.The first greeting at 7:10 was "What do you need to drink?" No Hello,no specials,no menus except for drinks.Then we waited some more..at least :10 minutes for the drinks. All tables had bread except for ..us.Had to ask. Service was just unwelcoming and poor.Then the argument started with what to tip..I said give her the minimum...ended up at 15% and felt it was way too much for our bill total. From the minute, we called the maître D to see if by chance he had a table for two, now? We were so impressed. Yes there was a table ready for the two of us on a moments notice and then the bread came... goodness goodness goodness. And they make the bread right there on site. There are no words to describe how delicious that bread was. And then we received our menus to our surprise. You could order a small plate or a large plate if you chose. My daughter and I each chose a small plate and we shared a Caesar salad. We each had an adult beverage and I can't begin to tell you the wonderful service we received it was prompt. We explained that we were attending a show at the Rev and they got us in and out of there in probably 40 minutes, the food is more than five star. Moro's was excellent! I asked for cup of the soup (butternut) and received a huge bowl. With that an app we shared, I never got to my dinner (beef tenderloin). However, double the pleasure as I had my tenderloin the following day and it was superb! Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend! read more

From a quaint dinner for two or an entire office staff, Moro's Table is a good option. The service and food is always good, if not great. I did experience one meal (and a cohort did as well) with the twin filet's, where one was nice and tender and the other tough as rawhide. We didn't complain about it (being a company sponsor paid for it) but we should have. This is not a cheap eats establishment. read more

The interior is dark, crowded, and loud. We reserved a booth, but, sorry, they didn't have one for us. We asked to be seated in a quieter corner, but, sorry, all those tables were reserved. It took involving the manager to be seated on the patio, which was open and available. We ordered, and were there OVER AN HOUR before the food arrived--no explanation or apology. In fact, our waitress wouldn't make eye contact, as two other parties arrived, ordered, ate, and left. When the food finally arrived, one plate had been under the heat lamps so long that the sauce was baked to the plate. Glitches may happen, but they should be explained, apologized for, and remedied. We had an excellent dinner here last week while visiting wineries in the area. Moro's Table really knocked the food quality out of the park. Everything we ordered was delicious. I enjoyed the beet salad, which was generously portioned and had homemade candied pecans that were particularly tasty. The salmon special was nicely prepared. My husband had the scallops and found them to be very good as well. If you order a side of fries, it is huge! Great for sharing. They are doing the best they can to provide a comfortable experience during COVID. There are some outdoor tables in the back, and any tables seated within the restaurant are spaced out generously. Easy 5 stars here. I sat outside and was pleased that the outdoor area was not treated as an afterthought and the outside equipment was in good working order. The food was GREAT, that tomato dipping sauce for the bread was really great. I got the mussels in pernod and fennel and they were amazing! I sort of wish I had gotten the lambchops but I got this african pasta dish that was really good. One of the worse meals I have had in a while. My husband and I had always wanted to try Moros Table and being disappointed is an understatement. We both ordered the special- blackened haddock with spinach and risotto. The fish had what looked and tasted like a sprinkle of paprika on it-something we could have cooked at home. It definitely wasnt blackened. When I asked where the spinach was-they brought me out a side after I had finished. The spinach was the best tasting of the entire meal. My husband asked for a side of broccoli instead of the risotto and got 3 tiny pieces of broccoli and no spinach. My my! How unsuspecting! We almost thought we were about to enter the wrong place. On the outside it truly doesn't look like much as the signage is pretty "bland" and the building isn't elaborate. But the second you step in, you'll say "oooooo!" Beautifully lit and inviting bar area, you'll feel right at home. The staff were very welcoming and we were seated right away as we had earlier reservations (5:00pm). Good selections on the menu. I was impressed with the variety of flavors and choices that were available for the mussels. I chose the curry and it was AMAZING! My beet salad tasted light and fresh. I wanted so much to love this place. We went in at about 5:30 and were greeted promptly. She told us we could take a seat whatever we liked and our server would be right over. That same server brought us water and told us Veronica would be our waitress. I get it, everyone has off nights and perhaps she was upset or mad or whatever else but the service was just awful. Our waitress was flat out rude and looked bothered that we were there, sitting in her section. When explaining the special she rattled off something about surf and turf and that was about all the information we got on the dish. She took our drink order and returned a few minutes later with them asking if we were ready. She didn't ask if we had questions about the menu or if we had been there before. The food however was fantastic, the pork chops were cooked to perfection and the soft shell crab roll was excellent. Would love to say we will be back but we won't. To anyone else, do yourself a favor and make sure your not in this waitresses section. 3 stars purely for the food. read more

The food is always wonderful and fresh and served beautifully ( if that's your thing). I tend to have seafood here because I know it's always fresh and looks so pretty( I guess it's my thing). I had these tasty madelines which are a memory from my childhood of lemony sweetness and of course there's fresh berries, again making it such an inviting dessert that can be easily shared. I've been wanting to come here for a long time. Finally decided to make reservations and took an early seating at 5:45 on a Saturday. Staff were friendly and always checked up on us throughout our dining session. Ordered a tequila cocktail and a mai tai. Unfortunately, I thought both were a little weak on the alcohol side however tasted good. The complimentary bread that was provided was one of the best breads I've had. We ordered the bacon and mushroom muscles with frittes, baked oysters, and the cheese plate for appetizers. All the appetizers were fantastic. The fries provided where enough to feed six people! Muscles came with a seafood cream broth and were one of the highlights of the meal! Really can't go wrong with any of their appetizers. For mains we ordered half portions of the fried chicken and lamb chops. Both were excellent! I would recommend ordering half portions, as we were quite full after apps, bread, and mains. That didn't stop us from ordering dessert, as we've heard the chef started as a pastry chef. For dessert we ordered the bread pudding and the banana tart. Best bread pudding pudding I've had hands down and the tart was a refreshing end to a fantastic meal. This place gets pretty loud when the dining room is full which happened at around 7:30 so make a early reservation if you want a more intimate setting. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. I chose the special Sea Bass and it was delicious and cooked real well. However, it was a very small 3 square inch piece of fish. It was the most expensive item on the menu and I would have thought they would have provided a regular portion. I gave them only 3 stars because I left hungry. I was very disappointed on how small a portion they served. If they were running out of it tell me and I would have ordered some thing else. Had a dinner date night here with my girlfriend on 4/15. Service was stellar. I started with a raspberry lemonade and my girlfriend had the watermelon sugar high. Both drinks were flavorful and hit the spot for a good cocktail to start off with. Girlfriend got the house salad which is huge and coukd actually feed 2 people. The ginger-miso dressing was very good. I had the grilled sirloin and fries. The sauce was very delicious and the sirloin cooked exactly how I wanted. Kinda odd but we went with it. The ambiance of the place is clean. You can get street parking or else park in the back. Attire is casual. Onto the food. My friends ordered the mushroom soup- very flavorful. I got the shrimp and crab cakes and beet salad. Everything was fresh and light. Flavor combinations were great. I ordered the lobster/cod bouillabaisse. Wow. What an amazing dish. It had layers of flavors that were great. Probably one of the better dishes I've had in a long time. My friends got the salmon, braised beef rib and another got the special- 'tenderloin'.
