I found the service was great had no issues from the time I walked in to the time I left the facility.

If you're looking for a trustworthy place to rent a uHaul van - this is it. I went 2 weekends in a row to rent a van and Ignacio couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. He walked me through the rental process promptly and even stayed after hours on a Saturday (New Years Eve!) while my dad and I waited for our ride to pick us up after dropping off the uHaul van - so we wouldn't have to wait outside in the rain. We recently moved are items out of the storage unit after about 18 months due to the purchase of a shed. We were extremely happy with Gilbert Self Storage. The price was very reasonable. The increase after one year was reasonable. The employees were very helpful anytime that I needed some help. Shea, the manager, is knowledgeable and helpful. We rented a U-Haul from from them to move the items in and that process was smooth. The move out process was easy. I highly recommend Gilbert Self Storage. read more

Let me give you the real info on this establishment (I'll try to keep this short). I have been a customer for 15+ years here. When I first moved my things into Gilbert Self Storage it was for my belongings for an apartment. I was struggling to get by (like any 18 year old on their own) and needed a "temporary" place to put my things. Well I had the unit for about 4-5 years before finally getting a place to house my belongings again. At that time MaryAnne was the property manager and was really helpful. I fell behind on payments and she assured me my things wouldn't be sold at auction. Well luckily I pay my bills and all was fine. A couple years later I needed a place for my things again, so I got another unit and it went great. Luckily I didn't fall behind this time, but having to drive over to pay my bill every week wasn't the most convenient (although it was always nice to catch up with MaryAnne). I ended up keeping this unit for my belongings and what turned into my tools and materials as I started my own construction business for mannnnnnnny years. I moved my things out around Winter 2018 as I was moving to Oregon. It was a sad goodbye to MaryAnne but she would always say, "You'll be back". Boy was she ever right. I was out in Oregon for about 2 years when the pandemic hit and I was forced to take work back here in CA. Funny thing is, my unit in Oregon ran me more money than here which I see many people complaining about in these reviews. But anyways.... I came back and needed a unit once again for my tools. As I got my unit MaryAnne was about to retire. They had just introduced auto pay so I was hopeful that this service wouldn't go away. A few months later MaryAnne retired and in came the new management. There were changes happening quick. The place got a massive cleaning, their were new systems installed at the gate, and the auto pay was also changed to a different provider. But through all of these changes the price was increased what felt minor to me and insurance was introduced as mandatory (which is mandatory in OR). So I will leave you with this.... Shea is the new manager. She has made it a really easy and smooth transition, she has implemented new services that are amazing, and they have even extended our hours (which to me means everything). And if you are complaining about prices, than you must be living in the past because even the dollar menu isn't a dollar anymore. I'm not made of money by any means, but businesses especially my own, have been battling with everything going up, so it's bound to happen. Needless to say, this establishment is amazing, Shea is wonderful, and I will always store my property with Gilbert Self Storage. Very grateful that Shea is the nee manager because this place could have gone south real quick but she really holds this place together. read more

Maryanne is great. Customer service like hers doesn't exist anymore. That being said I don't know what is going on with the owners or upper management. What a money grab. They're raising their prices so high and during the Covid-19 pandemic we can't move our things so we're stuck paying their high prices. Look somewhere else. Their prices are not worth it. read more

Hours are fairly restrictive with no after 7PM exit. Mgmt seems to have changed in last two or so months. The other managers allowed entry during the 10 day no late fee payment proviso period....not the new folks. New cameras and key pads have been installed but rent went up from a $179 - $201 in I believe a 15 month span - perhaps still competitive. But now making the decision whether to keep paying that for items maybe I didn't really need to hold onto any more. Can't use customer restroom - covid? Lighting inside units do not work.....maybe that's why nothing after 7PM. Place is clean and having a dumpster on premises is appreciated. read more

OMG , I Have had storage units at this facility for near 20 of the last 25 years and in that period of time met several sets of resident facility managers which were all always very competent and friendly especially Bill and Star Daly. The current manager Mary Ann is an awful person and her unpredictable changes in behavior are just awful.In 2011 I vacated all 3 of my large units but retained my automobile storage space but my mother who has also had units for years kept her 3.A few months back I was given access to one of mom's units for me to store some misc small items in and from the moment I began to frequent the property Mary Ann has Harrassed,Disturbed,Verbally Abused,Discriminated Against Slandered and now finally denied me access to my property entirely for no deserved reason orher than I DO NOT LIKE YOU ! read more

Ive been renting for over 5 years now and it's always a pleasure to speak with Maryanne! Great employees are hard to come by and Maryanne is truly an exception! She always makes you feel welcome and she should be acknowledged and awarded for how well she does her job. The sad part though is, I just learned that my rent is AGAIN going up and this time by $20 more a month! The owner raised it by $10 last year and now $20 more?!!! I think this is ridiculous and I'm in the process of finding a new place for storage. I give the place 5 star for how clean and well kept it is BUT one star for again raising the storage rent!!!! read more

I been renting at Gilbert Storage in Fullerton for over 10 yrs now , they raised my rent on my unit by $10 around not sure but t I think 2 year ago and I heard they are going to raise it again this time by $20 , I will look for another facility to rent a unit , its ridiculous the prices now " bye bye Gilbert storage" !!!!! read more

I have been to many storage places. Throughout the years of storing things that will not fit in my apt or garage, when i arrived at this location i was greeted by the friendliest young lady, i think her name was Maryann, she was awesome and she was so helpful and courteous of my needs and helpful on figuring out how much space i was gonna need, out of all the other storage places ive been to, they have all been so rude and too busy for me and my money and to top it off this place is so clean, usually you always see trash and cigarette butts all over from inconsiderate people that dont think about it and this place topped me, i will never go to any other storage facilities. This place deserves a 10 star rating for cleanliness and customer service!!! I definately recommend this place to everyone!!! read more
