Questionable sales tactic…read more If you reserve a unit for a discounted cost and come in to look at the unit first, they will charge you the higher "in-person" rate and will increase it by $20. So what you have to do is look at the unit. Run to the parking lot and then call them over the phone so it's technically over the phone to lock in the rate. What they're trying to do is have you pay for a unit blindly first. They'll offer you "a refund" if you don't like the unit. What have we allowed corporations to do? Dear Lord. Cancelling reservation after reading these other Yelp reviews about break-ins and price hikes. The rigidity of the rep on the phone was already a red flag. Maybe I should thank her for raising it.

Manager Redd- is a Crook Tried to charge me $200 because the toilet wouldn't flush and there was no toilettes available to us. That's the same amount of discount I got when I moved in $200 I moved in and asked the office to look at the space above that isn't fully caged in . And Redd got mad at me for asking that of him to move me or secure my storage unit that no one next to me can climb into my unit . They did nothing about it , and 1st chance they got told me I had to move out and they don't have to tell me a reason why . I don't violate anything , store illegal items, live there or have anything living or poison in my unit , they cancelled me and only gave me 13 days to move out . I'm seeking legal advice because this was wrong and inconvenience for me to do . I paid on time every month but this manager had it out for me . He wanted to charge me $200 because the toilet wouldn't flush in the building and there was no toilet paper to use I closed the door so no one used the unit I was in there 2 minutes but he claimed I made a mess in the bathroom In 2 minutes time . No paper no trash mirrors not broke but wanted $200 from me ?? For what ? It's not my fault your toilet didn't flush when I urinated inside the toilet bowl . And couldn't flush it .

    I have used the Fullerton location storage facility for many years and, having worked with several…read moredifferent managers over time, I was generally satisfied with the service. However, I am extremely disappointed with the recent administrative handling of my account. I properly ended my contract, completely removed all of my belongings from the storage unit, and finished all necessary discussions with the manager regarding the contract termination. Despite this, after the contract end date, the rental fee for the following month was automatically charged to my account. In addition, I later received a billing notice for the rent for the month after that. To receive a refund for these incorrect charges, I met with the manager multiple times and made several phone calls. I was told that the issue would be handled automatically. However, even after two and a half months, I have still not received any refund. I have visited the office several times and attempted to call repeatedly, but it was very difficult to reach anyone. I even sent a written letter directly to the office, yet I was unable to receive a clear or accurate response. Only today was I finally able to speak with customer service, and I was told that the refund could not be processed due to a "key lock issue." This explanation is very difficult for me to understand. For two and a half months, I consistently contacted your office and requested a refund, yet neither the office nor the manager ever provided clear information or explained that the refund was delayed because the unit could not be accessed due to a missing key. It is also hard to understand how Public Storage does not have a master key, or why the unit had to remain locked and inaccessible because of this issue. Even when I offered to personally hire a locksmith to open the unit for inspection, I was told that this was not allowed. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the service and the lack of clear communication throughout this entire process.
