From the moment they arrived, Jordan D, Jeremy E, Jake P, Leo C, Corey H, and Antonio V were friendly, professional, and incredibly polite. I was honestly amazed by how careful they were with everything. They handled our furniture and boxes with more care than even we did, which gave us so much peace of mind. You could tell they really cared about doing the job right and making sure nothing got damaged. They worked hard, stayed positive the whole time, and made what could have been a really stressful day feel easy. It's not often you find a team that's this efficient while still taking the time to be so careful. If you're looking for movers you can trust, I can't recommend Einstein Movers enough. Their reviews are what convinced me to book them, and now I'm happy to add another five-star review. Huge thanks to Jordan D, Jeremy E, Jake P, Leo C, Corey H, and Antonio V for taking such great care of us and our belongings!

The guys were super friendly and quick. They take all the precautions with walls/doors, and wrap everything before moving it. I booked Jackson of All Trades after getting several moving quotes because their $150/hour rate was…read moreone of the more affordable options, and a friend had used them before and had a good experience. Overall, my experience was a mixed bag with some definite pros and cons. My appointment was scheduled for 8:30 a.m., which I chose intentionally because this was an August move in Austin and I wanted to get as much done as possible before the worst heat of the day. At 8:06, one of the movers texted to let me know they were having truck problems and would be arriving between 9 and 9:30. They kept me updated, but ultimately didn't arrive and start until 9:30, a full hour after my scheduled time. Unfortunately, losing that hour meant much more of the move ended up happening during the peak afternoon heat I had specifically tried to avoid with the early appointment. They also called when they arrived because they weren't sure where to park, even though I had provided parking instructions in my confirmation email. They arrived in a U-Haul rather than one of the company's branded trucks, which I assume was related to the truck trouble. The two movers themselves were incredibly nice and pleasant throughout the entire move. They took good care of my furniture and wrapped and protected pieces thoroughly. Nothing about the handling of my belongings made me nervous, and I appreciated the care they took. That said, the pace was slower than I expected. For context, this was one person moving out of a one-bedroom apartment, not a family or large household, and I had done a LOT to prepare. Everything was fully packed, approximately 30 reusable moving boxes were staged together for easy loading, I had pre-wrapped some furniture and I even moved about 15 vacuum bags out to the truck myself. My old building did require navigating hallways and an elevator, which understandably added time to the load-out. On the other end, however, the truck could park directly outside my new ground-floor apartment with access through both the garage and front door, so unloading was about as straightforward as it could be. The move ultimately took about 6.5 hours. By the end, the Austin heat and humidity were understandably taking a toll and the pace had slowed considerably. Since I was paying by the hour, I eventually told them to leave some furniture for me to reassemble and some items for me to move into the correct rooms myself because the time and cost were continuing to climb and I needed to stop the clock. This is where I'm a little torn on whether I'd use them again. The hourly rate was considerably cheaper than several other quotes I received, but after a 6.5-hour move, I think the final cost probably ended up being similar to what I might have paid for a more expensive but more experienced or efficient crew. Sometimes a lower hourly rate isn't necessarily a lower total moving cost. Still, the guys were genuinely kind, took good care of my belongings and got everything safely from one apartment to the other. I especially appreciated them powering through a brutally hot Austin moving day. If half stars were an option, I'd probably land at 3.5. I'm rounding up to four because I really liked the crew and appreciated the care they took with my things, but the hour-late start, communication/organization issues and the overall pace would make me hesitant to book again.

He also had good suggestions for any question that was asked and offered great comments on placement furniture. I had several quotes from other companies. Only 2 came out and reviewed our items. Harder's is the one I chose. I had help......I had never seen a cardinal (my mother's favorite bird) near or on our property. One landed on our shed roof and stayed there for some time. I will never regret choosing a mover based on a red bird........the most awesome, knowledgeable, compassionate, logical businessman and company was chosen! Thank you ever so much Jonathan! They were just finishing another job and were able to take on my requests on a short notice. Because I had a smaller job, they quoted me a flat rate with no minimum job requirement. Harder's crew was very hard working and moved quickly. They were very polite and professional, very easy to work with. Would definitely hire them again and recommend you give them a try!

I waited awhile before writing this because I genuinely needed time to process how fucking…read moreridiculous this experience was. I wanted to make sure I fully understood just how bad the value was before I said anything. And honestly? I feel completely scammed and played. First of all, I was NOT given the actual details of how far these movers were from me. I was told they were "located in San Marcos." Okay... then why the hell were they driving to downtown Austin to move me? That made absolutely no sense, but I didn't think much of it at the time bc from my understanding that was the least of my worries. Then I get charged a random driving fee for them getting to me. I was completely blindsided. The guy expressed he explained this one the phone but no the fuck you didn't. I would have canceled right then and there. But Fine still thought max I would pay plus gratitude was 400. But the worst part was I was moving into an apartment literally about 10 feet away from where I was already living. I barely had anything to move, which I specifically told them. Yet they showed up with a MASSIVE truck that I didn't even need or use. Then somehow, after TWO HOURS of moving a very small amount of stuff literally 10 feet away, the bill came out to around $600 PLUS gratuity. $600. For moving my stuff 10 fucking feet. What exactly was I paying for? A luxury relocation experience? A parade? Were they supposed to do backflips while carrying my boxes? Maybe make me dinner afterward? Because for $600, the expectations apparently should've been Cirque du Soleil. And here's what really pissed me off. When I gave feedback and said that customers should at least be given a realistic estimate or ballpark price BEFORE agreeing to the service, the representative basically told me, in so many words, that if they told customers the actual price, nobody would book them. Well... fucking exactly. If I had been told beforehand that moving my small amount of belongings approximately 10 feet was going to cost me around $600, I would have said ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOT, BETTY CROCKER. I would have told those movers to turn that giant-ass truck right around, drive back to the North Pole or wherever the hell they came from, and stay in their own damn area. Instead, I was hit with random fees that were never clearly explained upfront. And when I mentioned that I had receipts and questioned the charges, suddenly the representative was ready to offer me a 10% discount. Oh, NOW there's flexibility? That makes the whole thing feel even worse. Customers should not have to argue, present receipts, or threaten to leave a bad review before suddenly being offered a discount. If the charges are legitimate, explain them clearly from the beginning. If they aren't, don't just throw random bullshit onto the bill and hope people pay it. And the attitude from the representative made everything even worse. Instead of actually listening to my concerns or showing even a little empathy, I was met with an attitude that was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. Maybe take a fucking Xanax, calm down, and learn how to speak to people who are rightfully questioning why they were charged hundreds of dollars for a move that took two hours and went basically 10 feet. I genuinely feel terrible for the actual workers because this is not their fault. To the movers: PLEASE QUIT AND FIND YOURSELF A BETTER COMPANY TO WORK FOR. You deserve better than working for a company that leaves customers this pissed off and apparently leaves employees to deal with the fallout. As for the representative: you were by far the worst part of this experience. Telling a customer that you don't give them the "legit" price because otherwise nobody would book you is an absolutely insane thing to say to someone who is already upset about being overcharged. I am beyond disappointed with this company. The lack of transparency, the unexplained fees, the ridiculous price, and the way my concerns were handled were completely unacceptable. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. If you're considering booking them, ASK FOR THE TOTAL PRICE AND EVERY SINGLE FEE IN WRITING BEFORE THEY TOUCH YOUR STUFF. Otherwise, you may end up paying hundreds of dollars and wondering what the hell you just got charged for. I would never use this company again, and I would strongly encourage anyone else to think twice before giving them your money. I hope this company gets sued or goes out of business. Sweet dreams. And if I could give this negative stars it would be so far back in the negatives it wouldn't be able to ever recover.
