For my wine aficionados-NSV puts their own spin on the muscadine grapes native to the area. These are not your typical sweet blends. They have better depth and complexity than any other muscadine wines we have previously tasted. After a tasting, we had freedom to view the growing areas, a lovely cabin for seeing the grounds from an elevated area, and see some adorable goats as well as see Fred and Barney, the resident hogs on the property. On our drive along US-29, we spotted a sign and decided to make an impromptu stop. Having only visited wineries in the Northeast, we were initially taken aback by the simple facade. At first glance, it wasn't as elaborate as others we've seen--no endless rows of grapevines or a sleek indoor café. Just a humble barn and about five to seven rows of grapes. But the moment we stepped into the bar area, a whole new world opened up. The charm of this place truly lies in the details. There are multiple outdoor spaces perfect for photo ops or just soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Some areas have been updated as recently as last year, and the entire property is clearly well-maintained. Now, about the service--it was wonderful. We were warmly greeted by the bartender, who asked if we had a reservation for a tasting (we didn't). Since it was Wine Down Wednesday--with glasses of wine for just $4--we planned to simply enjoy a couple of glasses. But what we got far surpassed the weekly special. We ended up doing wine flights and sampled a variety of flavors and textures, all while engaging in great conversation. The experience felt both personal and relaxed, which made it even more memorable. Before leaving, we purchased a few bottles of our favorites and promised ourselves we'd be back.

We haven't been here in many years because the customer service was bad but not anymore! Laura greeted us as soon as we walked in and 10min later we were best friends. Now I didn't hurt that she was from Texas and so are we which gave us a lot to talk about but we really enjoyed spending some time learning about her and her husband the new ownership and just their plans for growing this winery. I would say that they definitely have a passion for serving others and have already engaged in the community raising money for different charities their biggest one recently was one for a cancer charity. I'm not much of a wine drinker my wife is but after tasting the Chardonnay which was fantastic we decided to share a bottle and they also have a bourbon barrel aged Cabernet which is amazing. We promptly came home joined the wine club and will definitely be back because it's only about a 30 minute drive from Greensboro. They have music and food trucks on average about twice a month and I can promise you that when you go you'll get good wine and be treated well.

There is a large offering of over 20 varieties. One of the current owners led our tasting and gave us detailed explanations of the history and thought process behind each wine. There are 11 wines that were the original Autumn Creek wines and then the new owners have added some new wines and new blends under the label Gioia dell'Amore Cellars. We liked all of the wines that we tasted. Our favorites were the Diamond Girl White & Red Blends and the Embrace Meritage red blend. After our tasting we purchased a bottle of Diamond Girl Red to enjoy on property. Outside the tasting room are a large deck and a brick patio with sweeping views of grapevines, a pond, a waterfall, a gazebo, a covered area and an event venue (where an anniversary party was taking place). It made for a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.

It seemed they had a pretty extensive list of wines to choose from. They had a large, spacious indoor area for sitting, but also a lot of outdoor space and a medium sized covered patio with fans to help with the heat. They did come around & ask if we wanted to join the wine club and gave us a sample of a club exclusive wine, but they weren't pushy at all when we said we weren't interested in joining. It was delicious - it had cheese, crackers, olives, chocolate covered pomegranates (I think), and I'm sure I'm forgetting something else. Even if they don't have things going on, it is still a great place to sit back and relax in an Adirondack overlooking the water. There is a cute tire swing and plenty of grass area for kiddos to run around and play. I always enjoy getting a flight so I can enjoy several of their wines. I actually like their muscadine wines surprisingly. They also have the most amazing strawberry cake that is made with their wine! I go every year for my birthday to get a slice. In the summer, it is also nice to get a win slushy as well. The owners are always very friendly and their dogs will likely greet you as well. No beverages may be brought to the property but bring yourself a little picnic of food to enjoy with your wine.
