Overall, my experience with Gerber has been significantly better since the manager Tex stepped in. The time between when my car was towed into Gerber and the pickup date was about 4 weeks, which the shop stated was due to being understaffed. During that time, I had to have a rental car which I mostly had to pay out of pocket for. There was pretty significant damage to the passenger side of my car, and it looked beautiful and completely back to normal. Initially the process was frustrating as I received no updates at all while my car was being repaired, I had reached out to the shop multiple times, and the bill was about $5500 for this. However, I can't speak highly enough about the manager's customer service and the quality of the work on my car. I ended up having to return to the shop because when I started to drive the car on highway speeds a part was broken behind the wheel. They immediately responded back next day and even picked my car up for me from my apartment while I was sleeping in between night shifts. The manager Tex took care of me with the upmost service. Given the unfortunate front end service. Tex and I were able come to an understanding which was helped by his high level of ownership of the employee and overall service. Mgr. Tex meticulously care my vehicle and communicated the expected outcome. I truly appreciate the service he provided which help turn a bit jade experience into a bit more pleasant. There website is very deceptive, the Instant quote was 159.29 ( 139.29 ) with coupon for a jeep wrangler windshield, but then after scheduling the technician called and said there website is giving the wrong amounts and it would be $213.00. Update: 2014-12-03, Customer service called yesterday afternoon and explained why the price quote was so far off and worked with me to come to a reasonable price that was between the quoted price and what the technician quoted. basically they said that old jeep wranglers you have to replace a $40 molding / seal whenever you replace the windshield. They just finished replacing the windshield at my office this afternoon and it looks great. read more

I brought in my car for an estimate and told it would take a week to get parts and 2 days for repair. Later in the day that I brought it in, I receive a text message that my car wouldn't be done until 2 weeks later. I didn't receive a phone call to discuss this and called to speak with them and told there was nothing they could do. I was also told that a manager would call me back and after going to their business, was that the manager was out sick. At my initial estimate I was given no disclosure that this could happen. This company is deceptive, dishonest and I can not recommend that anyone bring their vehicle to their business. You get inaccurate estimates, and I question their business ethics as they are appearing to defraud insurance companies which in turn raises car insurance premiums. read more

Richard the parts manager is amazing - I took my car to this location and they were VERY busy. Instead of shooing me away or making me schedule an appointment (which they would have had every right to do) he stopped what he was doing and spent about 25 minutes with me. We were able to fix my car and I did not have to purchase a new hood (about $500-$600 without labor). Most repair shops would take advantage of every opportunity to extract money out of you. Rich helped me when he had (probably a million) other things to do and didn't ask for anything in return. I hope this finds its way over to you Rich - you did a heck of a job for me today and you saved me a lot of time, frustration, and money. Thank you. A 5 star performance! I almost didn't take my car to them because of a bad review they had. However, there were also good reviews and they were really close to me, so I took a chance. I received an immediate bid to paint and install both left and right side view mirrors. Service was fast and I was treated very well. Their price was substantially less than others and the quality was up to my Lexus standards. I'd go back there in a heartbeat!!! read more

I read the reviews for this place before going in, so I had a pretty bad feeling before dropping my car off. Tucked at the end of the road is this place, and all I needed to have done was an estimate. Just to look at the car. Walking in, some blonde girl with no personality or thought process is just unable to grasp simple questions such as, "How long will the estimate take?" Meanwhile, another customer was calling on the phone and from what I could hear, she was trying to pass it over to the manager a few offices away. The manager kept swearing saying, "tell the b---h I'm not f---ing here" and the receptionist lied to the customer, who was only asking for an update on her car! What!? That was strike two. When I asked again if it would take a day (as it only usually does to get an estimate), she referred me to her "specialist" who ignored me and went out for a cigarette. Completely classless. Strike three. She then looked at me oddly and said, "It'll probably take till Monday..." .... uhh what? Monday? Right. No. I ended up leaving. As I walked out a beaten up, barely working car drove past and a bunch of men stuffed in that car were whistling at me as they entered the back area of the collision shop. My boyfriend was pretty agitated and we were glad to leave. I have no clue how a business like this stays open. After reading MULTIPLE reviews on cars being broken into and things being stolen by workers, it's no wonder this place has terrible reviews. read more

I don't know what happened to the review I wrote this summer but I guess the people at True2Form didn't like it so they pulled it down. DO NOT GO HERE. They messed my car up so badly, doing body repair, that two days after getting it back from them, it died 6 hours into a 21-hour road trip and I was stranded on the side of road in the middle of nowhere, Georgia, with three small kids. In August. Gas leak = fire truck, police involvement. A pretty bad nightmare, but at least no one was hurt. The management finally tried to make peace with a financial reimbursement but the mental anguish caused by this incident is beyond appeasement. Do not trust this body shop. There are plenty others in the Triangle. read more
