I was originally referred by Lexus dealer. Kyle is a nice person to work with. I have had to use services twice (unfortunately). My first repair went extremely well. For the second repair there was a bit of confusion due to expectations set with regard to complementary work, so I am knocking off a star for that reason. I had a 5 star experience (excellent - first time around) and 3 star experience (ok - second time around). I will likely still use them if needed. I had shut the garage door on our open Honda CRV back hatch. Thought it was going to be glue a metal strip back on the hatch door, but I could not get the strip to line up with the holes to snap back in place. Happen to drive past Caliber Collision, without an appointment since I was in the area. Daniel Borro, the service advisor was friendly and professional. He tried his best to see if they could repair the hatch, but in the end, a small part had to be ordered. An appointment was made within a couple of days and the repair was done very well. I got rear ended and had my car towed to caliber on Fay street in Durham by a recommendation of crown Honda of southpoint. After having my car towed to caliber I wasn't contacted until 2 days later (on a Friday) with an excuse of "we didn't know your car was here", when they contacted me I specifically asked for an estimate only before they did any repair work on the car, I only wanted oem parts put on my car and I wanted an estimate first to be sure of which parts would be put back on my car. I was assured that someone would contact me on Monday with an estimate and to ensure I got what I wanted. Monday came and no phone call, Tuesday came and no phone call so I called them ,myself, on a Wednesday to check to see if my estimate was complete. I was told that my entire car had been repaired ($5k worth of work) and the only thing left was to paint the exterior pieces such as my rear bumper. I never authorized caliber to fix my car, I never received any estimate from them even after I specifically requested one before they repaired my car. I never signed or was sent any paperwork giving any kind of permission. When speaking to the manager JT and informing him of what happened, he assured me that caliber warranties it's work but completely ignored the fact that I never signed/nor verbally gave any aurthorization for them to repair my car, I told him that I should have had the right to take my car else where for a second opinion if I wanted and I was robbed of that right when it was already fixed without my conscent or knowledge. I was never informed of what type of parts would be put back on my car before doing it, JT assured me that all parts that were placed back on my car were new and oem parts from Honda which wasn't true ( the paper I received when picking my car up had numerous after market parts listed) and I was only told that He was sorry and "this never happens" and he was unsure why this happened. I also specifically asked for an alignment of my vehicle which JT almost forgot, He called to tell me my vehicle would be ready for pick up soon and When I called back to ask if my alignment had been done as requested he told me no. Had I not reminded him He would have forgotten it and he was the MANAGER!! What a joke this company is. To top it all off when I was told my car was ready they expected me to pay a $500 deductible that my insurance had instructed me that they would take care of ! In my opinion I shouldn't owe a dime since I never aurthorized them to fix my car to begin with. I am completely unhappy with ALL of the customer service from this place and I will let my car sit and rot before ever taking it back to this horrible place. My paint on my bumper was darker than the rest of my car !! They also slung all of my belongings in the trunk of my car, one of the items being a dirty cup from chocolate milk they threw inside a Macy's bag of mine that had a bran new dress in it that I purchased with the tags still on it.! My car was unlocked, upon arriving on the lot to get my car, I was able to open all the doors to my car and leave my jacket before I went inside to get my keys but think about it ANYONE could have opened my doors and gained access to my personal belongings and personal information such as my registration to my vehicle and anything with my name on it. Do not go here ! I will tell everyone and anyone I know never to go to this place, if You do then you will be severely disappointed, I wish I could give a 0 star review but a 1 is the minimum. read more
