the team at caliber are literal saints and all stars! i was rear ended stopped at a light by a driver on their cell phone who failed to even brake on a 45 mph road here in cary. my car was slammed from behind and pushed into the car in front of me and undriveable. it was towed off and then the at fault driver's insurance caught wind their $50,000 property damage limit was likely insufficient for two damaged cars and they left it all on me. enter alora. i needed to get the car towed somewhere to assess damage. caliber was slammed but the only place that came highly, highly recommended. as alora was recommending back up places i started to cry explaining the insurance left me hanging with three costly car seat replacements, a crazy hassle for a comparable rental, and a back and forth runaround that was insane ... and then she took control... she wanted to help. and help me she did: they did more to get things moving than both insurance companies.  she knew my car was likely a total loss and yet alora took it upon herself, busy as can be, to reach out to the regional liberty mutual rep to get them to issue a claim number so she get things moving. i have a business background and if that isn't girlboss, tell me what is. i'll wait. car accidents are expensive. they are a navigation and logistical nightmare. if you're in this situation i am so very sorry. repairs take real professionals. the best thing you can do is go to a team that cares to do right. I scheduled 1 week in advance, received 2 confirmations via text before drop off which I accepted. I dropped off 6am for 1 day repair, called 2 times in afternoon 1st said get back with status but did not, 2nd call said tech is working on it now and will call as soon as they finish anytime. (No call) Next day same except second call they stated "whoops, looks we missed this, slip through the cracks. They said we have to reschedule." My response was please don't bother :-/ read more

Communication skills are completely absent with these people. Costing me rental car money because they want to forget about my car sitting at some offsite suspension shop. Now I have to wait for them to bring the car back and spend even more time and money waiting for them to do so. All while they lie to the insurance company telling them things that are getting done that actually are not. Took them a month and a half to assess my car and tell me it's totaled. Jennifer guided me through the steps and then Kevin, my advisor did a superb follow up. I didn't call the center once since I would get updates (including pictures showing me the progress of the work being done) every other day. They provided a link to their portal where I could see exactly where we were at every step. Estimates updated as discovery, parts, repairs were added. My car was cleaner than when I dropped it, I was shown everything that was repaired/ replaced and even got a Thank you note from Kevin. SO great! I made it to Raleigh in a rental (from ACE JFK - NEVER rent from there!) and noticed that there was a noise coming from the front of the car. I stopped and noticed that the bumper was lose on the drivers side. I wasn't sure how bad the damage was, so I made an ad-hoc stop at Caliber Collision at 8:30AM. I informed the individual at the front desk know about my situation and even though they are not permitted to repair rental cars from other companies, they did not me to drive back to New York in a damaged car. They immediately took my car to the back and cosmetically fixed the problem so I could do the 8hr journey in peace. All of this...and they didn't ask for any payment in return. I am just so glad there are people and companies still out there that value their customers for more than just the immediate return ($). This used to be Haddock Collision and the business was acquired by Caliber Collision. As far as I can tell, the quality of work has not changed. They have done very good work on three of my vehicles in past years. ( I'm not bragging ). Most recently, my brand new 2015 Ford F-350 Dually pickup truck was damaged by landscapers at my Wife's office. Did not have proof, so I had to pay out of pocket. You can see the before and after photo's. You would never know the truck had body work done to it. The only thing keeping them from a 5-Star review is the lack of finesse. All three visits to this body shop resulted in the same thing. They call me, I come down to pick up the vehicle.. and it's dirty, or there is paint over-spray, or tape residue. In the most recent case of my Truck, it was all three! My truck was brand new, not a scratch on it except for the damage to be repaired. I brought it to them freshly washed, and left a typed note inside, reminding them that I expected to get my truck back in the same condition. Chuck, my "Team Leader", looked the Truck over and agreed that it was Spotless. But when I picked it up, it was dirty, had tape residue in numerous places. Chuck took it back and had it cleaned up, a bit, but not even close to how I had left it with them. The next morning, before going to Rocky Mount, I cleaned the windows and could feel over-spray. So I'm sure that I will find more. Nothing that a good cleaner-wax or clay bar will not take off.. but I should not have to do this after paying them for the body work. read more

Right now I am not a happy customer with this Caliber location. I dropped my car off for a front end fender on June 10th and its now July 29th and I still don't have my car back. The original return date was July 8th and ever since then they have been delaying the date. They say that for a front end fender bender it has extensive damage but at this point I am not thoroughly convinced. Last week they were reinstalling the engine and motor (radiator core support needed to be replaced and those items had to be removed) and a week later neither the engine or motor are installed. I have been cool about it so far but now I am highly upset that my car has not been returned and that the point of contact can't tell me anything. I can't believe that my insurance recommended this place as I'm now starting to feel like this is a two bit operation that they are running. I should have reviewed them first before trusting my car to this location. From the reviews so far, this is a habitual pattern for them. The new estimated return date is Aug 4th and I'm still waiting for the lead tech to contact me to tell me what's really going on... Let's see if they can follow through with this date and withy car back in perfect working order. One thing to help alleviate this poor business is to offer images of the progress so that consumers can actually see the stages of vehicle work. read more

I scraped the front and back end of my car backing out of my driveway. It was my own fault. Got an estimate someplace/very high; and my second "estimate" was yesterday at Caliber Collision. Caliber Collision and AJ Filidoro totally made my day! AJ is the nicest most courteous patient knowledgeable advisor/repair person! AJ explained about my car's plastic/metal panels and explained my scratches on my car. He actually buffed all the mess on the back end out while I watched. We discussed Honda touch up paint; he gave me options. Super important was the integrity of AJ and Caliber Collision. They could have given me a high quote but were very honest and beyond fair. I was out on the beach in the NW Pacific Coast (Oregon) and I was receiving text messages of every single step of the process including timing and who was overseeing the service...plus received calls for any other included repair needed before proceeding with any further service and timing of when repair will be/was completed. Overall great experience! I've used this body repair shop a few times even back when it was Haddock collision. I come back as the work is impeccable usually. This time around it was a minor bumper scrapes but the staff was authentically interested and professional in working with me. From the Manager, Eric Morril, who fit me in on the fly for an estimate over lunch to my service rep, Aaron Lopez, who wouldn't stop until I was completely satisfied. Overall this location was relatively quick (less than 5 days for repair) and on point for communication of the progress and process. The service made such a difference. There were some adjustments to the work needed (which I anticipated as I'm a perfectionist) but it was handled promptly and until I was satisfied. Being a picky person, it's hard to meet my expectations but overall the staff and the work product was great! read more

I had my car towed here after an accident. After several days I called for an update. They said my insurance adjuster could come look at it, but my assigned repairman didn't strip the car which is standard procedure. The adjuster asked to be notified when the car was stripped. They didn't. I had to play middleman and keep track. This took another two weeks total. The adjuster returned but the repairman was out sick. Another week delay. Overall, I was fed up with delays and lack of updates. read more

Great experience at Caliber Collision on Maynard. Fast to get in and out, and great partnership with Enterprise rental in the same building. I actually can't believe how smooth everything went. After being rear ended while I was sitting at a red light, there was a ton of damage to the back of my car, but now you'd never guess it. I also want to say that Alora was especially helpful and knowledgeable! She was wonderful to work with and I'm so glad I picked Caliber to have my repairs done. Repairs were fine but be sure to remove ALL valuables. They have very lax security. They left my truck unlocked, someone broke into the yard and cleaned it out. I lost a $300 Milwaukee Cordless Drill Set, $35 mag light, $20 change cup, and multiple other items. No compensation from Caliber because their agreement instructs owners to remove valuables. Shame on me for not removing All valuables, but minimal security (locking my truck over the wk/end) would have prevented the theft. read more

Caliber Collision was half what Gerber and Westgate wanted! Both wanted me to pay an additional $750 to replace plastic cover and touch up paint on rear taillight. Caliber buffed out the plastic taillight cover and touch up painted the nicks-no charge! A decorative black trim was replaced for $140. Again, others wanted hundreds more for labor. NC for labor! I don't know if all the Caliber Collisions are the same, but I would recommend the one in Cary for sure!! read more

Service took place Nov - Dec 2017 and I'm only revisiting this terrible experience to share it because these "value your feedback" e-mails are excessive & keep popping up like an annoying ex, so here... I was told Robert would be the man in charge of my repairs. Not even 2 minutes into assessing damages Rob says "if you lean into the sunlight"... say your ABC's, jump 3 times and click your heels, "you can see where there has been previous work done on the car, previous damages" etc.. (and OF COURSE these "previous damages" were remotely around the initial damaged area he is about to "repair" - I get it, I'm a woman, I'm alone, it's an unspoken rule to "prep" customers for any POSSIBLE expenses JUST to cover mechanics back, I get it. But I found it odd that my 2014 Chevy Malibu - From DriveTime (that was only used as a Hertz rental center at an airport for 6mos) did not have this imaginary "damage" listed on The Experian report I obtained from DT since being notified by Rob. I thought the next call I got would be from Rob telling me my vehicle is ready for pickup - Instead - "I'm not sure if you were aware, but your key fob was loose and it finally gave out on us"........ Honestly, I would have been fine if he would've been truthful and said one of his rookie employees (or maybe even himself) strong-armed the hell out of my car keys and the key broke off into the ignition, yes it was replaced free of charge but now Rob-the-builder has to fiddle around with the inside of the car & underneath the radio, dashboard etc and I'm nervous because ha can barely asses car damages correctly. From that point nothing but a series of unfortunate events occurred. Rob called me for pickup, gave me they keys and the weirdest most uncomfortable "can you please give me a good review" spill ever. Okay Rob - bye now. After picking up my wife from work that night (about 3hrs into having my car back) my car shuts completely off in the middle of the intersection of Blue ridge & Duraleigh rd. It's December 19th. And. Were. Staring. At. Our. Car. At the middle of a busy intersection. Freezing. My. Nonexistent Balls off. I'm livid. BUT David, the District manager (kinda) comes to the rescue. At this point I asked very nicely for all of my dealings to be with David because Rob was sketchy from the beginning. David says Okay. David makes arrangements to have it looked at - but no arrangements for a rental until the next morning. Because the tow truck driver had a person in his truck from a "previous pickup" (his girlfriend), My wife and I hitched a ride from the cops who arrived on scene, and paid for an Uber to Caliber the next morning. Neither of us are Happy at this moment, it's freezing cold and 6 days before the Christmas holiday. Side note: Along with a reimbursement for the Uber ride to Caliber, David offered a gift card for all of the inconveniences throughout this whole fiasco, I guess he felt bad... needless to say we have yet to receive either, that part sucks too.... The next day I wake up to call from Rob, Rob-the-builder. The very last voice I wanted to hear after a night like the one before. Overall Caliber is great with updates and customer Service. It is now I believe the excessive updates alongside the EXCELLENT customer service you receive from the ladies at the front, are the only reason David is still able to run this location, Rob-the-builder checkout UTI.edu... education is KEY... no pun intended.... read more

I just had a remarkable experience at Caliber Collision Center in Cary. My new black Toyota Camry was pretty badly marred, though not deeply when I scraped it entering my tiny garage about a week ago. I unintentionally drove by CCC and decided to stop and see what they said about my car's injury. I had no appt, knew no one, and ironically, had forgotten my wallet. I met Mike, explained that I wanted to get an idea what was going be required. He asked me for "a handshake and a good attitude" and my keys. About 15 min later (or less), he drove back around and had rubbed out the damaged area. He showed me where there was some mild residual damage and advised what could be done; he warned me about buffing on the side of the car, where paint is the thinnest. It looked great, I was grateful, and was on my way. When does this EVER happen?? Thanks, Mike. Thanks, CCC. I will be back with my Toyotal pickup which needs a bit of body work. Horrid. Avoid this place like the bubonic plague. This experience was not worth our time. To explain why this experience will probably be our last time working with this company, continue reading. We were rear ended with minor damages on a grand scheme, no injuries just a busted trunk. The trunk had been bent up and the bumper cracked, and bent plastic pieces around the interior part of the trunk. From the outside, this is all the major damage. The car is a Lexus IS 250 F-Sport. My wife dropped the car off and showed them the issues mentioned earlier. We waited about two and a half weeks to get our car back. My wife, who is 7 months pregnant at this time, goes and picks up the car. Notices a paint chip in the trunk area, notifies the adjuster on site. Then as she is loading items into the trunk she closes the trunk and it does not latch. She notifies the adjuster on site. The adjuster says "We will fix this real quick". They take it back around and in 15 minutes is complete with fixing the latch lock and the paint. They told her everything was fine and good to go. Once I was able to have eyes on the car, this company did an absolute SHIT job. Again, SHIT job. To get my point across, SHIT job. This work they performed was nothing more than a description of a shit job. This is something when you hear it, cannot believe the story because it sounds fake. The trunk wouldn't close after they "fixed it", not once but twice. I showed the adjuster how I could bounce the trunk like a basketball and it wouldn't close. He was speechless. All he could mutter was, that piece must have done what it did before. I then showed him how the only way to shut it was to use a substantial amount of force to shut the trunk shut. Then I had to show him where the plastic pieces they removed and didn't replace were, and where the other plastic was bent. He again had no words of why they were not replaced. Looked at me with little to no concern with their job. Rather, just wanted us gone and on our way. This company needs to do another overhaul. This car is in worse shape than when it came into the shop. They did not even replace the damaged weather seal around the trunk, and probably will not. I could run my finger around the entire weather stripping on the trunk from the old pieces of the car and the new parts they attached. The adjuster then tried to tell me how they did the job, I could have told him how they did it, it a rush and again a SHIT job. There was absolute no pride in their work with this repair. There is no way I could ever recommend this place to anyone. The plastic cover that goes around trunk was still bent and was discolored. This piece was damaged during the wreck and they did not replace it. It was supposed to be black, and from where it was bent, it caused fatigue in the plastic and turned it green. Literally, I cannot make this up, the plastic was green where it was bent, and the rest was black. They removed two plastic flaps in the trunk area that covered where the latch catches, and didn't replace them. These pieces prevented you from seeing down in the trunk where the latch catches. They also informed me that the trunk was not bent, rather they just adjusted the bars that hold the trunk in place rather than replacing the damaged part. THIS WAS A REAR END ACCIDENT THAT BENT THE TRUNK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We showed this to them before we left the lot the first time. We showed exactly what side it was on. This is also the side where the paint chip was that mysteriously showed up after the trunk was fixed. This chip in paint, was not just a minor scratch. The entire paint was chipped off of the car. You could see the metal part of the trunk with how chipped it was. They "fixed" this by just applying a white paint marker over the top, which wasn't even the right color of white, and sent my wife on her way. My wife was on lunch break and had a meeting to get back to. Thankfully, I looked at the car once I got home. On top of this, when we arrived at the location, we sat in the lobby for about 20 minutes before we were met by the adjuster. They called on the radio to him about three times before he came in. Upon talking to him, he didn't seem to knowledgeable on the cars status and why we were bringing it back in, and seemed "shocked" that we would be upset to bring the car back because it wasn't fixed properly. Come to find out he went around protocol and didn't inform his boss about the car coming back in the second and third time. On top of this, we just got the car back and the trunk is still cracked in two places. I have pictures taken on 10/30/2019 to prove this. We picked up the car on 10/28/2019. They are on google reviews. Again, this job, absolute SHIT. Avoid this place. read more

I have a 2009 Honda Civic. I recently visited this Caliber Collision to get an estimate on damage from a collision I had with debris on I-40. This collision resulted in my front bumper coming off. I attended an estimate appointment on 1/23/19 and even brought my front bumper to see if anything was salvageable. The receptionist called someone forward to do the estimate, and the first thing out of his mouth was complaining about her calling him up, making it seem like he didn't even want to be there or help. So he goes out to my car, looks at it for maybe 30 seconds, glances at my front bumper inside my car, but doesn't look at it to see if it's salvageable, and then headed back inside to do the estimate. He comes back out and gives me an estimate totaling to $2,071.42, and he briefly goes over the charges. I said cool and left. I had a friend in town, who had experience with cars, look at it today, 2/1/18, and he was able to simply place the bumper back on using literally a few new screws. As a woman, this is particularly frustrating because I also received another estimate from a friend via phone that priced it at $1500 (if the bumper was not salvageable when he saw it in person). So I don't trust this shop nor the people here. I would recommend getting estimates at different places before ever considering this place. read more

I got a dent in my fender on 2015 Mercedes. Caliber is who Mercedes recommended. I took the car there and got my quote. They explained everything and we agreed to a date to bring it in. I took it on Monday and had it back on Wednesday and it looks just like it did when it rolled off of the Mercedes lot. Everyone there from the Welcome desk, quote person to Stephanie, my concierge we're absolutely wonderful. Even Bray in the Enterprise office located inside Caliber was exceptional. Buyer Beware... TERRIBLE experience. My car was hit by someone in a parking deck. I contacted their insurance company (Travelers) and took my car to Caliber. Caliber gave me an estimate of 4 days to fix the damage and proceeded to point me to the car rental counter. The insurance company based my rental car length on the Caliber estimate (4 days). I asked Caliber what happens if the repair takes longer than the estimate, I was told "Don't worry, we'll argue with them and resolve it, we do it all the time"... 13 days later, after several repeated phone calls from me and a multitude of excuses from them, I FINALLY got my car back and it still was not fixed correctly. Apparently they don't "argue" too well with insurance companies either because I only got the car for the original 4 days. I called the insurance company and they told me Caliber never called them. I had to take the car back on the 14th day to finally get the car completely fixed. Bottom line: I will NEVER go to Caliber again. They suck. Bad. REAL BAD. read more
