Hendrick was easy to work with from scheduling an appointment through insurance to providing an on site rental. My vehicle had been rear ended requiring a new bumper, reinforcement bar, and steel panel realignment. I dropped my car off on Friday for its consult and they had it ready by Wednesday. This review is a bit mixed. Hendrick has had my car twice. Everything is insurance related so I have not had to pay anything out of pocket because the damage has been another driver's responsibility. The first time they had my car, everything was phenomenal; in fact the car looked better than new. Communication was great, they were quick to respond to my needs and questions. The second time they had it, it was a different insurance company and not all of the damage was fixed. Communication was very poor. I sent emails and left voicemails with no responses for weeks. I started with one advisor and someone else was there to show me the finished product. The new guy hurried to get me out of the lot with my car without addressing the damage that was left to repair. The adjustor stated the damage wasn't from the crash, Well, I disagreed and showed how the damage was from the accident. Change the subject to warranty and move me along seemed to be the order of the hour. I get it that I'm not the one paying for the damage to be fixed, but this latest experience was not a good one. Now I have to find a way to blend the paint to fix the rest of the damage. I had had the car detailed just prior to being hit by the other driver - when I got the car back, it looked terrible - covered in dust and debris, not washed, not clean at all. Awful experience. Got an estimate for repair at another body shop. Due to scheduling, sent the estimate to Hendrick and scheduled the repair for an earlier date. Was called and advised the repair was complete. When I went to pick up the car, it was obvious to me that they had not completed the repairs in the original estimate with the original body shop. The advisor said the car was fixed. Nothing else he could do. I needed to pay and take the car. I paid and noticed the alignment was still off so, I drove the car to a tire center to get an alignment done. The tire center advised they could not align the car because a rear suspension component was damaged which would have been found given the original estimate. Took the car to John Heister Chevrolet in Fuquay Varina. They fixed it. Hendrick did not. read more

I took my 2015 Scion FR-S after some front end damage, it was in the shop for a couple of weeks, I got it back and I see it wasn't fixed properly at all, come to find out they had glued my front bumper to my car! GLUED!!!! And they admitted it to my insurance company (progressive) my insurance company had to pay another company $1400+ to fix this mess... 7 weeks my car has been there for very minor body work. I've been lied to, condescendingly spoken to about the situation and I decided on the rims I wanted over three weeks ago. They claimed I had only decided last week and that's the delay. If I had ordednstock tires and rims then it wouldn't be an issue. Essentially blaming me for the whole thing. My entire summer has been shot. June 28 till present. Claimed to call Tuesday and Thursday. Hasn't called once. I live in Connecticut part time and have to get back and they are holding me up. I'm getting the run around every day. It was an insurance job. I'm at a loss. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE. EVER Did I mention that this is the most incompetent and the lack of communication has me nervous and worried. I just bought this car and have 5 years of payments. Was without one for four years. Management here leaves everything to be desired. Never in my life have I had such an unprofessional experience with grown men. Pete is excellent at blowing smoke up your a** in order to cover his, until it comes time to take responsibility for his employees. Absolutely zero ownership. A job that should have been done in ~30 days (per the shop) was drawn out to over 4 months, courtesy of Larry. The compensation that Pete believes is acceptable for the mishandling of the job is insulting. Parts of the repair weren't even done correctly the first time. My car looks great now (thanks only to my fiancé, who was working there and made sure to check in on the progress from time to time), but I do not recommend you bring your car here if you want the job done right the first time, in a timely manner, or if you would expect to be fairly compensated in the event of a shop error. Conveniently, my fiancé was fired 3 days after my confrontation with Pete. Do not bring your car here. There are plenty of other shops in the area that will do a beautiful job, but in a timely manner while maintaining professionalism. read more

I took my car to the Collision center on February 6, they kept my car for FOURTY DAYS, every week Jeff was calling me with a different story about my car. I was patient enough and was hoping to wait. One time told me that it will be ready on WEDNESDAY, I waited and never call me to pick it up. When I call him gave me another story. Well the last time he called me he said I will be ready this Friday 3/24/23 and because he did not call, my wife and I went to the center and for surprise they told me that he was not there that day. I told to a manager and I told him I want to take my car home now. They told that they were waiting for a the front grill of the car; but I told them that grill that the car has is ok stay with the want the are expecting but I am taking my car. I will not recommend this place cause they are a bunch of clowns with no words. read more

I cannot recommend Hendrick's Collision Center based upon my experience with my car. They had it almost a month and failed to even examined it to provide an estimate. The repair coordinator stated I should have made an appointment, but how can you make an appointment when your car is not drivable and has to be towed in after a wreck? They never called to give me any status. I was told to not expect an estimate for at least a month. When I called, the front desk personnel were so nice, but could not even begin to make up for the general unpleasantness from the service person. Even my insurance agent was appalled at their unresponsiveness. I can only surmise, they are overwhelmed, mismanaged, or incompetent. It took almost 10 days to move my vehicle to another collision service center due to their insistence that an invoice be paid (for what I do not know). My insurance refused to pay it. I'm grateful that the company that currently has my car will return a phone call, give me a timeline, and in general communicate with me, because Hendrick Collision certainly didn't perform any of those basic courtesies. read more

Very poor experience. Brought our 2021 Jeep in for minor repair and it was returned with major problem. Randall Lute will not even take the Jeep out for a test drive to understand the problem. He told us take it to the Jeep dealership. We did and after 2 weeks, they were unable to find the source. They recommended taking it back to Hendricks since they knew what they had worked on. Please save yourself MAJOR headaches and choose another place. We are still trying. 5:30 PM update. We brought the Jeep back Today. This time Randall took a ride with my husband and believed us. Manager Pete left us a message that they had completed the repair. Yes- it is fixed! We don't know what they did but we are thrilled it is fixed. I unfortunately had to take my car here when I was rear ended, but I had such a great experience with them. Amazing care and service. I dealt with Jeff mostly and he was amazing at updating at every step, and regularly worked with me when contacting the insurance, and would always answer my calls or get back to me immediately. Also they are connected to an enterprise if you need to rent a car. Hoping I won't have to take my car back lol, but if you need your car fixed definitely take it here. An impact with a deer required the replacement of the front fender and the driver's side door. This was a shop that was on my insurance company's "if you go here we'll vouch for their quality and offer a lifetime warranty" list. There was surprisingly very little other review data on body shops on yelp, so I gave them a try. They worked very well with my insurance company. There was basically no paperwork or calls for me to take care of. Additionally, there is an Enterprise rental car office in the same building, which is also who my insurance company set me up with during the repair period, which was very convenient for pick-up and drop-off. The initial estimate/inspection took about 20 minutes and was quick. They didn't offer a lot of explanation, so being a curious person I asked questions which they answered. It took almost 2 weeks for the parts to arrive, and my car was in a drivable condition, so I just waited. It did take a couple calls to get the ETA for the parts. It was about 1 and a half weeks in the shop, during which I was driving a rental. (My insurance policy has a provision for a rental.) When picking up my repaired vehicle from the shop, the car was a bit dusty, so it was hard to inspect the repair before departing the shop. I went home and wiped the area with a cloth. It looks good, paint color is matched great, it does look like new. They repainted the rear panel (behind the door) to do a "paint blend", and running my hand over the repainted area I did see just a bit of dust that was painted over and left a tiny bump. The inside of the car has a small smell of paint, or maybe it is glue since a good chunk of the door was repaired/replaced. I'm hoping that smell should dissipate over time. The service was professional, although I would have liked them to volunteer a bit more information. I don't feel like I was taken advantage of at all. I didn't compare costs, since they were on my insurance company's preferred list. The quality of the repair work looks fine. Not flawlessly perfect, but I have to look hard to find any issues, and they are small enough to not be worth a complaint. So per the rating and my very limited experience with body shops, I'd say my experience was fine. I'd be OK with a friend going there. read more

I was in a major rear-end collision in March and we chose Hendrick based off of the recommendations of a mechanic close to us, not knowing that they contract with the at-fault person's insurance company. When they called me to tell me the estimate and what repairs were going to be done they acted bothered that I had questions (specifically about frame and alignment) and tried to hurry me off the phone. When my husband called with the same questions, he got different answers than the ones they gave me, and they were obviously very annoyed with us. My car wound up done over a week before they said it was going to be and they were very unprofessional when they called to let me know it was done. 2 days after I picked it up, I took it for a NC state inspection to renew the registration and lo and behold Hendrick never wired the license plate lights on the new lift gate which we had to pay for it to pass inspection. 5 months later the alignment that they swore was NOT out has caused 2 of her tires to wear from the outside in and we now need to replace 18 month old tires. Awful experience, we will never use Hendrick for anything ever again. read more

Worst experience ever! It took 8 weeks for simple repairs. There's absolutely no communication. They won't answer the phone nor reply to emails. I had to physically drive down there 3 times for an update. Huge inconvenience!!! I've seen better professionals from a Walmart tire n lube. Their staff is not compensated by customer service and it shows. Steer clear by all costs!!! I'd rather have my car totalled then have them attempt to repair my car again. I was rear-ended in my new Range Rover, and I took it to Hendrick Collision in Cary for repairs. I was assigned Mr Jeff Saldo as my repair adviser/service manager. He was absolutely AMAZING. He made the repair process so simple, removed all the typical stressors associated with the damages after a car accident, and was incredibly personable and professional. I can't sing his praise enough!!! He was extremely knowledgeable and never made me feel rushed or as though I was a burden to him. I received updates on the repair process and he even completed repairs ahead of schedule! I would HIGHLY recommend Hendrick for repairs- especially if you get lucky and are assigned Jeff, like I was! My car was hit on the drivers side front quarter panel in a parking lot of a park. It annoyed me to look every time I got into the vehicle, so I brought it to Hendrick for an out of pocket repair. I reminded the repair technician/service advisor that the front of the vehicle had a camera in it (collision detection equipment), it was a 2014 jeep grand Cherokee overland, and that they should be careful removing the front bumper. They were not careful removing the front bumper, and therefore the camera was damaged during the repair and needed to remain in the shop an extra three weeks since they couldn't figure out how to reattach the damaged camera. Overall, the repair looked nice from the outside, paint matched well, but I went through hell and back to get it done right and was without my vehicle for about eight weeks. We have had a bad experience with this collision center. We had 2 minor things that needed to be fixed. My husband scrapped my car backing out of the driveway. So we took both cars to Hendricks in Cary. Our insurance was going to pay for the fix in my husbands vehicle and we paid out of pocket for mine. Damage was minimal for mine so we thought it would be easy. We went to pick it up and we could see right away that the jobs was not good. There was a lump you could see where they didn't sand down the spot and just painted over it. So they had to do the job all over again. My husbands vehicle took longer so we ended up driving back to dealership to drop off his car and mine was "finished". We went back a few days to pick up his car. We thought it was ok until he was outside the following day and someone asked why his car had 2 different colors on it. Mind you, these are 2 band new cars that we bought from Hendricks. So we had to rake his car back again to get done over again. Their work is lousy. Today I looked at my fender as I was washing it and it looks totally different from my fender on the other side. You can see paint in between the fender and back panel. I am very disappointed. My husbands came back looking closer to the same color but not exactly.. his pin stripes are bubbling already where they replaced them. I will never use them again. read more

TL;DR = poor service, missed repairs, terrible communication, and very disorganized. I took my car to Hendrick Collision Center after a minor accident, and that was a big mistake. I received an estimate of two weeks' time for the repairs and dropped off the car on the appointed date. A few days after I dropped off my vehicle, they called me to ask if I had taken my keys with me when I had left, because they "couldn't find them." I was still at the Collision Center when I watched someone drive my car around to the back lot, so they clearly had the keys but lost them somehow. They did eventually find them, but that was just the start of the problems. A few days before the repairs were due to be completed, I called for a status update only to be told there had been some "delays" - probably caused by the fact that they had lost the keys and couldn't work on the car for at least four days. I asked when it would be ready, and they were very vague with details. Fortunately, my insurance company agreed to extend my rental coverage for an additional week, or I would have had to pay out of pocket for Hendrick's delays. Another week of phone tag ensued, and I finally received the car back over three weeks after I had dropped it off. But the problems didn't end there. First I noticed that vehicle pulled to the left while driving. I took it in for an alignment check, and one of the tires was poorly aligned. It was fine before the crash, and apparently no one at Hendrick thought to check the alignment, which should be a standard check after a collision. $80 out of my pocket for the realignment. I also noticed a rubbing noise when I would make a sharp turn at slow speeds, so I took it in again for another inspection only to find out that the front bumper was rubbing against one of the tires (not the one that was misaligned). The mechanic--from Hendrick Chevrolet, right down the road from the Collision Center--said it was definitely the result of the accident and had even called the Collision Center about it for me (kudos to him for strong customer service). Finally, I noticed today that my front bumper license plate holder was gone. The Collision Center had asked me if I still wanted the front license plate holder, as it's not required in NC. I specifically said yes, I did, because I've lived in states where it's required, and if it's not already installed, it's expensive to have one put on and you have to drill through the bumper. But they put on a front bumper without a license plate holder, despite my clear instructions to the contrary. All in all, a terrible experience. Accidents are frustrating enough--the repair process shouldn't have to be. There are plenty of garages around; avoid this one. read more

I worked for a company right down the road from them, we sent them lots of business. The Enterprise rental car company inside the collision center is great. Horrible experience! This place is a factory, churning out insurance-claim repairs with little or no attention to detail. God-forbid you actually have an issue & have to deal with them. You are simply a number for which they have little or no concern. They would not respond to my repeated voice or emails, and when I raised the issue to Chevrolet customer service, even they could not get a response. One afternoon I was in the area & thought I would stop by to speak in person to the adviser. Dumb idea, as I wound-up waiting for over 30 minutes while this person did who knows what. I was finally able to get my issues resolved weeks after the repair by repeatedly pressuring my insurance company (State Farm - which did a great job on follow-up), and Chevrolet customer service. It boggles my mind how Hendrick stays in business, but I can assume his dealership network is so large & profitable, that repeat business from good customer service is simply not a concern for them. read more

Pulled in to have GMC look at an issue with my handle. The assistant manager looked at the handle and had it checked out and even tried to fix it. He concluded that I needed a new one. He then let me know that I should be under warranty and sent me up the hill. I am extremely impressed and enjoy dealing with people who love there job and care about the customer. read more

rating is actually a zero but one is the lowest option. Had new car driven off lot by employee on memorial day weekend. Almost 400 miles were put on the vehicle that had only 527 miles. Now has some scratches and trim damage. Received a phone call from them prior to picking up the car to be aware of the almost 400 extra miles because it had to be driven to tested.. I asked for extended warrantee because who knows what other damage will show up at a later time. Was the car driven on sand dunes, through water, rocky roads, where parts switched etc. Ask them about their security cameras. They would only offer a discount. read more

Terrible. All I wanted was an estimate for damages on my car. Left the vehicle there for a month, and never got an estimate. I called twice a week, every week it was there, and could never get an update. Mechanic most of the time let the phone go to voicemail and never called me back. One in five calls I would actually talk to him, and he was "too busy" to write the estimate. I finally got the car towed to Apex Auto Body Specialists (the car was not driveable) just to get the flipping estimate. Darrin was able to get my estimate done within an hour of the vehicle getting there. Then, Hendrick sent me a $400 bill, mostly for storage of the vehicle. I was charged $400 for their mechanics to waste a month of my time. Avoid at all costs, hit up Apex Auto Body Specialists. read more
