This so called "specialist" in glaucoma leaves alot to be desired. He spends a total of about 10 minutes with hos patients. Horrible bedside manner. He takes notes but does not communicate to the patient what he observes. Losing your eye site is scary especially if u are elderly and alone. The doctor foes not do callbacks and schedule appointments every 4 months. My mother has end stage wide eye glaucoma. This man cannot give her more of his precious time?? Ironically enough we end up waiting an hour before being seen. For 10 min with this "professional" ; if one is late for their appointment they charge $70 for a late fee. I suppose his time is more valuable than that of his patients?? This is unacceptable read more

This was the most ridiculous and disrespectful use of my time. The first time I came here there was a scheduling error, and after a 2 hr drive roundtrip I decided to try again. I waited an hour today before finally being seen and then was told that the full appt wld take 2-3 hrs and that my eye wld be dilated. None of this was explained to me previously and I was not prepared, I had to get back to work. The tech was apologetic and offered to get the practice mgr. The practice mgr cld have cared less about my frustration or concerns. She explained that call center folks have to tell pts when making the appt and that there are signs in the waiting room (I ultimately found one behind some other information at a window that I did not check in with). At no point did the office mgr offer any condolences or try to listen to my frustrations. There was no regard in her affect or in her interactions to let me know that my concerns were valid. This clinic feels like a cattle call situation where they're only interested in getting as many pts in the system as they possibly can and less about pt care or respect. I even heard people in the waiting room talking about how they had waited once 2 hrs. The tech and office mgr assured me that the MD was "fabulous." This is by far the most disorganized medical practice I've ever visited. The wait times are excessive -- expect to wait hours just to see a doctor. The entire experience felt chaotic and poorly managed. I would not recommend this clinic to others!!!! read more

Appointment was for 10:45, got there at 10:30. Not called back until 12 noon. Testing done in rooms with chairs with no arm rests. I use a cane and have difficulty getting up from a seated position without arm rests. The staff held the chairs since they all were on wheels, so in my opinion not handicapped friendly. Did not leave the office until well after 12, should not have to wait that long to be seen. Several people left because the wait was so long. No reas for this! read more

Scheduled an appointment for my 88 year-old mother per her retina specialist request at another practice. She gets there with her Aid as I was not able to go and after keeping her waiting for an hour and a half, they didn't know why she was there. The age called me from there and put me on speakerphone and when I asked to speak to the office manager, she said they were confused as to why she was there and I told her that her retina specialist recommended she come. The "manager" DEBRA RODRIGUEZ asked me if I was at that appointment. I told her no and she said "maybe I should've gone with my mother so I'd further understand." Very rude, very unprofessional and when I asked her to talk to her supervisor, she walked out of the room. This practice consistently over books and has rude staff. You will wait 1.5-2 hours after your APPOINTMENT time. Stay away! This is Atlanta with plenty of other doctors! They also religiously overbook. read more

My father's appt was at 2pm and an hour later, we still sit and wait. I asked at reception how much longer it will be (my dad is 84). Apparently the doctor has a "very full schedule." It has been almost six months since a family member had a cyst removed surgically from the eyelid, and we have been billed for the full amount due with no attempt by the office to submit the procedure to insurance. We are billed every month for the same amount and no evidence that insurance has been filed or applied. Anytime we call to inquire, including one phone call with an insurance agent also on the call, we have gotten the run-around. This is an ongoing issue, but if you have been referred by your eye doctor for a procedure with this group I would look at other options. read more

After waiting 3 months for an opening in his schedule, Dr Schoenberg had his office call with ONE day notice to tell me they could not do my surgery. My BMI was too high. I have not changed. Did he not notice it the many hours they examined me and then scheduled my surgery? They said they may do it in the hospital rather than the surgery center, and even though I am sedated on a regular basis to get shots in my back, I was willing to do the surgery in the hospital, BUT has one person contacted me proactively since they canceled it. NO!! I am having my referring physician refer me to a better choice. How RUDE!! read more

My cataract surgery was done using a method not covered by Medicare (because "That's the method I use."), so it cost me $1500. At first my vision seemed to be much better, then one day later my vision blurred and it turns out the operation triggered a macular "pucker". That condition might be corrected by yet another surgery, but no promises. My doctor then wanted to schedule me for cataract surgery on my other eye; her concern seemed to be with income for Georgia Eye Partners. I will not be back. read more

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to catch up on my Food Network, while waiting for an hour to be seen. This was the second appointment where the wait time was that long. The first time they gave me some song and dance about a new EMR system. Ok, fine. The second time I didn't wait around to hear what the excuse would be. My appointments revolved around getting a LASIK enhancement, which ended up being a recommendation for PRK due to the length of time since my first LASIK. So, if someone is contemplating paying cash for an elective procedure, $2500 - $5000 depending on what I decide to do, and if that elective procedure would require several follow up appointments, would it not make sense to put your best foot forward for that patient? Apparently not. I plan on taking my LASIK/PRK business elsewhere, and you should too, unless you're just really behind on your Emeril Lagasse. read more

I have been visiting GA eye Partners for about 18 months now, their doctors and front line lobby staff are very good but what lets them down is their backoffice billing. They don't file insurance paperwork correctly and it is impossible to find someone responsible within the practice to resolve these issues, leaving you with significant out of pocket costs. I have cataracts and have had the beginnings of cataracts for some time now. They are not interfering with my lifestyle and are not unusual for someone my age. However, for the life of me I could not get an annual exam that my eye insurance would cover. Even though I made it clear I was there only for an annual eye exam and even though I went to the only optometrist on staff (because I did not need a doctor), they still billed me for an "Ophth Medical exam." I did not ask for a medical exam, did not perceive I was getting a medical exam when they made me read a chart and checked the strength of my readers andI am not quite sure how an optometrist can perform an opthalmologist's exam. I got a bill for $284.57, because they filed against my health insurance. I will not go back ever again - even when my cataracts become a problem! and i will let everyone know that they shouldn't either. read more

I would give 0 stars based on my patient experience for the treatment plan given to me and for issue resolution thereafter. I have been a patient for over 2 years and my issues were never resolved when I followed the medications prescribed. It turns out they were the wrong medications and a different care provider gave me the right medication which gave me instant relief. They also said that long term use of the originally prescribed medicine could have adverse effects. I waited for over an hour to see the doctor in my most recent visit. I was shuffled between rooms and the technicians gave off a very uncaring demeanor. The doctor said with authority that he would do additional things like dilation and lash plucking. Turns out those things would cost an additional $140. What was supposed to be an annual eye exam turned out to be an unexpectedly expensive and unsatisfactory experience. If the treatment plan provided and actions taken resulted in relief I wouldn't be so upset. It's the fact that they did all these things and prescribed medicine that I didn't need and the whole time I just suffered thinking ok this is how it should be. It's not - another doctor gave me the right treatment. I did dispute this and raise the fact that this was just a poor patient experience but all they had to say was this is your responsibility. I sought their care as a patient who trusted their professional experience. I will not be returning. I do not recommend this practice to anyone. read more

I was referred to Dr. Stewart several years ago when I was first diagnosed with Retinitis pigmentosa. He has spent lots of time taking care of my eyes and helping me to learn to deal with the gradual loss of my vision. He and his staff at the Johns Creek office are very warm and friendly. They have taken great care of me and my wife for a number of years now. I can't speak for other offices, but this one is the best! read more
