I wish I could give a better review because I do like Dr. Reimbold personally. I just needed an exam and new lenses; my frames were still fairly new. When I got them back, the edging of the lenses wasn't done right leaving an open gap in the frame. Funny nobody caught that. Once I got them back, I realized my vision was incorrect. When I returned to see if we could fix the problem, I was charged for yet another office visit...for them to fix their mistake...which they didn't do. They did change the prescription though so apparently they had that part wrong to begin with. When I asked *Jon* if I could discuss the bill with the doctor, he stared at me for a few moments, like oops! I'm in trouble, then said she's not available. I ultimately went to another optometrist who discovered and fixed the error, which had to do with inaccurate measurements of pupillary distance and fitting height. Such an easy fix if they knew what they were doing. I think the problem here, as with many businesses, is the workers are not well qualified. In any event, I won't be back. read more

I brought my daughter here for an eye exam. The doctor was pretty quirky, which is fine however, I really second guessed her diagnosis of my child's vision problems. I went along with it, since I am not a clinician, and trusted her to be the professional. She said my daughter was farsighted and gave us reading glasses. My daughter has never complained about not being able to see close up however we got her the readers that she supposedly needed. Fast forward I have gone to a different optometrist who gave us the complete opposite diagnosis. My daughter is nearsighted and cannot see far away, she now has different glasses and contacts and can see perfect with her new prescription. I will not return to this doctor and this is a good reminder for parents out there to trust your instincts as well. Doctors do make mistakes, and while I do not hold it against this optometrist, I think there are also better options out there based on our experience. read more

The best doctor I've ever been to. I've been there about three or so times with my partner and everyone there is very kind and friendly. The office has great decor and you can tell a lot of care went into everything. They even have cute plants that they name. Doctor Reimbold is incredible. She's so knowledgeable and always shares great educational information each visit. She is a very warm and comforting person to be around. Been going there for years, great location, Dr was great.. But sadly have noticed it going downhill.. There is so much upselling on glasses, services... Another friend had an issue with billing and they took umpteen calls to find a resolution. Won't recommend, lots of other competitors still having ethical outlook intact...... Thumbs down. I had a new prescription and ready for a new pair of frames. My younger son has a pair of Jacques Marie Mage frames that I'm obsessed with so I was determined to find a vision center that carried these frames in Atlanta. I've also been looking at Kirk and Kirk eyewear--bright bold colors, heavier-looking styles. I called Reimbold Eye Group to see what their protocol was during Covid. They were so kind and explained their process so thoroughly I had no hesitation to make an appointment during a slower time of day. When I arrived, they were well prepared, having sanitized where I'd be trying on frames. Every frame on the displays were also sanitized, staff wore masks and I felt very safe. Reimbold has a fantastic selection of eyewear from artisanal to more affordable frames. I ended up purchasing a pair of Kirk and Kirk frames in a pretty green color. They took precise measurements to ensure a proper acquity and three weeks later I picked up my glasses and brought them home. I tried them on at home a few times, but I didn't feel they were quite my style. When I called the shop to let them know, they were accommodating and told me I could swap them out for another frame of equal value at no charge. I was so relieved that they have a 30-day warranty. When I stopped back in to return the Kirk and Kirk frames and select a new one, everyone knew my name and was well prepared for my visit again. I felt [and feel] like a valued customer. Their staff is outstanding, kind, patient and professional. This is one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had because they demonstrated in many ways that they truly cared about me, a new customer. I have had Doctor's in the past that have told me to just wear my glasses because it was too difficult to put me in contacts. I just moved to Alpharetta and saw Dr. Nicewonger. She listened to me and I walked out with contacts that were right for me! Great practice! Everyone was so nice and made you feel comfortable. I called Reimbold Eye Care today with eye floaters issue and was provided with an open time slot to be seen within an hour of calling.The staff their was quite respectful and courteous. Dr Alisha Niswonger is a superb doctor and quite gentle in her care. She readily answered any questions I asked and offered good recommendation for my eye care. I highly recommend this office for eye care. I only wish I was told when I called that there would be a $50 emergency fee. read more

This was my 2nd year I have gone to Reimbold, but will be my last. I started coming here because I love Dr. Niswonger & followed her when she moved to this practice. The office staff has been nothing but rude & unhelpful though. Last year there was some sort of issue with my contacts that I don't remember the details of. This year I went for my yearly appointment on December 12th, & was totally out when I went & they told me it would be 3-5 days to get contacts. After that when I still hadn't gotten a shipping notification I called to check & they said there was a delay with the supplier & they would ship on December 27th. I asked at this point about when glasses would be ready because I was going out of town for Christmas & at least needed something I could see with. I did end up getting glasses on December 23rd but they snapped at me about that & always act annoyed with me. So when my contacts still didn't ship on December 27th I waited a few days & called again & someone, I believe Darius, said they didn't have time to check on an update that day. I told him I would hold while he checked right then because they have never once called me back when they said they would. Finally he gets back on the phone after a 30+ minute hold & said they would ship on January 24th. At that point I asked for some more trials so I had some contacts & didn't have to wear glasses for another month. Darius questioned whether I even needed contacts. I have corneal dystrophy which makes contacts be considered "medically necessary." I pay so much each year for contacts, not for the fun of it. Yes, I need them. Darius put John on the phone, who literally laughed at me when I asked for a month of trial lenses. He said he could give me some monthly lenses. My eyes get infected very easily & I can't wear those. He finally got me like 10 dailies that were a prescription close to mine. I understand they can't help if there are delays with the manufacturer but a) I don't believe I'm the only person this happens to so they never should have told me 3-5 days to begin with & b) disappointing news goes a whole lot better when they're not repeatedly rude. I canceled all of my further appointments & will never go there again. read more

Dr. Reimbold is absolutely amazing. When I walked in I was greeted by her wonderful staff. Next, I met with Barbara who was very knowledgeable and displayed kindness. Finally, I met with Dr. Reimbold. I haven't had an eye exam in a very long time so I was a little nervous. I moved to Alpharetta about 18 months ago and needed to find a new optometrist. I was somewhat apprehensive, having worn glasses most of my life, I have always been very particular, wanting to be sure I have the best prescription lenses for correcting my vision. After checking several sites for the best rated doctors, I settled on Reimbold Eye Group. What a wonderful find! I made the appointment online and found an opening for the same afternoon. When I arrived, everyone was very welcoming and the sign in process was very simple. They called me back for the necessary scans. The equipment used is the newest technology, truly state of the art. Then, I saw Dr. Susan Reimbold. She is very thorough, knowledgeable and clearly cares about her patients. She was extremely patient with my pickiness during the vision exam. She fully explained everything and answered all of my questions. Then, on to ordering my new glasses...the young lady who helped me (sorry, I'm terrible with names) was incredibly helpful, patient and kind. As she began noting the styles I was trying on, she showed me a brand new frame that just came in that day and wasn't even displayed yet. It was the perfect choice! I love the doctor. She is obviously passionate and knowledgeable about what she does, and is the first doctor to get my prescription correct in years. Very personable as well, I enjoyed my appointment with her. The front desk man, however, always seems incapable to me. He never tells me all the information I need to know, is unclear the majority of the time, and doesn't always know how to answer my question as. The facility is, however, very new, very updated, and with the newest technology. Overall I will return! read more

Been going to Dr Reimbold for over 10 years. She recently opened her own office and I continue to use her. She has gone out of her way to stop the decline of my vision and probably has saved me from going blind. As my vision decreased, she recommended a retina Dr and Cataract Dr. From there, the Retina Dr added a Glaucoma Dr to join "the team". Dr. Reimbold was great! The exam was very thorough and comfortable. She explained everything as we went, so it wasn't just a huge bulk of information. This was also the first time I was able to see the back of my eyeballs and see the various veins etc - all part of the regular exam! I learned a lot and she had answers to all questions and concerns I could think of. She's also knowledgeable about other disorders that can affect vision, including autoimmune conditions. After the exam, the whole team at Reimbold assisted me in finding the perfect pair of glasses - they were all very nice and professional! The prices on the glasses were reasonable and ranged from 129-500ish from the ones I looked at. The staff also had all my insurance info ready, so they were able to tell me how much I would save. I have never gone back to the same location for an eye exam before, but this will be my (and my husbands) go-to from now on for all our eye needs! read more

I have started seeing Dr. Reimbold with my 2 children when they were 4 and 6 years old and we have been patients ever since, for 8 years. She is absolutely amazing with kids! She talks to them, plays with them, jokes with them and my kids and all my friends kids totally love her! My kids keep asking when they are going to see their fun eye doctor? Dr. Reimbold just opened her own new awesome practice and she has an unbelievable selection of kid's glasses of all colors, all shapes and all materials including ones hard to brake - the best selection for kids I've seen anywhere. As for her services - everything is very detailed, with photos to see and charts to follow. She takes time to explain everything she finds, answers all your questions and she she is so highly trained that she can find conditions other doctors missed. She saved one mom's little girl from going blind. Dr. Reimbold takes personal care of everyone who comes to her office and I can't recommend a better eye doctor than her.
