Scheduling our appointment online was easy and we received both confirmation and reminders about it after making it. There was plenty of availability to choose from. We scheduled our appointments back to back so that we could knock it all out at once. The doctor was great! She was professional and thorough. Both hubby and I felt comfortable with the exam and her competence. The guy working the front was also very professional and friendly. Once the glasses came in, he took his time to ensure that the fit was perfect for each of us before we left. While we spent more than we normally do at America's Best even with insurance covering a portion of it, we feel like the service and quality live up to the cost. The issue is that they don't have any cheap frames. Most options are designer names. Since we typically only get reading glasses, I will most likely just do the exam here and order frames online going forward because I'm cheap and not interested in spending big bucks on reading glasses that I hate wearing anyway, but this is no reflection on the quality of Eye Optique, which I think is top notch, and I am glad we ended up here.

Upon checkout, I was shocked to be charged 100% of the retail rate ($104) for the exam. When I contacted my insurance company, we initiated a 3-way call with the store. On that call, the staff admitted that b.spectacled is actually out-of-network, directly contradicting the explicit confirmation I was given to secure my booking. The staff promised to speak with the owner, Brittany, would review the issue and contact me about a refund for the billing error. I have reached out multiple times since (including following up via their website contact form to Suwanee location (because their Alpharetta form is broken) and have received zero response. My insurance company confirmed they can only reimburse $50 for the out-of-network claim, leaving a $54 balance caused entirely by b.spectacled's misrepresentation. If management does not contact me to resolve this billing error amicably, my next step will be filing a formal dispute for merchant misrepresentation through my credit card company and a provider grievance through my insurance network. I highly recommend getting any insurance confirmations from this office in writing before sitting in the chair.
