I had cataract surgery and accommodating lens implant done on my left eye approximately 8-10 years…read moreago. It worked out perfect! Customarily the other side should have been done two or three weeks later. A chronic right eye irritation made me defer it this long. Unfortunately, I could not get satisfactory assurance that this problem should not be a deterrence in going through with the second procedure. It has taken this long and even after 3 different previous complete ophthalmological evaluations including from the one who performed the initial procedure, they weren't reassuring enough to satisfy my level of comfort. Until a nurse friend in Ms. Angelina Trinidad happened to be singing praises and putting out good words about her ophthalmologist at Lotus Vision. Eudy went to see him and while we were at it I did too. After all, my eye check-up was long overdue. It was a blessing. We found him personable, more reassuring, convincing, and relatable. His office is spic and span. It was like the old school of health care delivery, being treated like a patient and not just a number. So, long story short, I had him do what I have been deferring this past 10 years. Eudy had hers done last month, both of them. Here I am, a day after surgery. It is by no means a glamour shot but with the mandatory dark specks necessary for a few days after the procedure. Little did I realize that throughout these years I was only seeing with one eye. No wonder I was always in the losing end in our Mahjong games. Anyway, my total vision is a lot better now. Depth perception is also much improved. So, hopefully this may lead to the start of a winning streak. Never underestimate the wonders of medicine and surgery. More importantly, be your own advocate. Ask questions and don't let anyone do any procedure, especially elective ones, until you are fully satisfied and convinced it is needed, it is safe and the best one for you.

I called the office , kid you not she quoted me 400, for a contact eye exam . What shit they…read moresmoking on

I found…read moresome positive entires on Kudzu referring to Dr. Tucker and I have been pleased with him and his office for about two years now. The Doctor himself is very competent, but the best part is he surrounds himself with equally competent staff with little staff turnover (unlike my previous Ophthalmologist, where I would find entirely new staff every six months or less...). All of the doctor's direct assistants are very personable and helpful, with a special notice to the woman who schedules surgery and the like. Also, the woman who "checks you out" is a doll as well. A particular shout out to the two opticians who sit on the north side of the lobby. Mike and Trent are very helpful and willing to adjust your frames and work with you in every way possible to make sure you can see well... This office is very, very busy and it can come across as like you are being lost in the process sometimes, but they eventually find you. The only negatives I can mention is the face they are "Obsessed with Health Insurance (and cards)" and the women who man the front desk are sort of bereft of charm. but this is still one of the better Ophthalmologist offices in the general area.

I could read the "E" at the top of the eye chart and that was all. As soon as I could, much later in life, I did something about it. Two co-workers recommended Dr. Ashraf of the Atlanta Vision Institute when he was with his former lasik surgery practice. On their recommendation, I had the same surgery performed (using a type of Bausch & Lomb equipment that is obsolete now). He corrected my eyes to 20/15 in one eye, and nearly 20/15 in the other. This was back in 2001 and I swear by my results. Lasik, though performed under a streamlined process, is still surgery, and you experience minor discomfort and inconvenience as you recover. The success rate is very, very high, as a result of being carefully screened beforehand. Read the literature accompanying your consent forms. I referred Miss D. to Dr. Ashraf after he formed the Atlanta Vision Institute, and he performed a different type of vision improvement surgery for her, and three years later she also is very happy with her result. We paid for and received the one-year touch-up package, though she did not use it.

I had a lot of concerns about LASIK and risks, but after speaking to Dr. Ashraf he was able to put all my worries at ease. He is very knowledgeable and experienced, with some of the best and newest technology available today. I decided to schedule surgery September 2014. I was told the surgery would take about 10-15 minutes, but it honestly didn't feel like it took even that long. Other than some pressure on your eyes from the instruments used to keep your eyes open, the procedure was painless. Directly after surgery they check your sight and my eyes were almost as good as they were with glasses coming in! There is some pain/soreness for a few hours after surgery (when the eye drops wear off). Have someone drive you home and take a 3-4 hour nap. After that, there was no pain at all and my sight continued to get better and better! I haven't been to a check up recently, but at my last one my sight was almost 20/20. I don't have any issues (no dryness or anything), except that for the first few months I would see some halos around lights when driving at night, but honestly I had this issue with contacts as well so it wasn't a big deal. Since I had such a good experience, both my husband and best friend decided to get LASIK done here. They both both couldn't believe how fast and easy it was and none of us regret our decision! I wish I had done this sooner. I highly recommend getting LASIK, and especially from Dr. Ashraf who was so professional and a pleasure to work with.

The office is spotless, well organized, and there were no long wait times which is so rare these days. Dr. Krishan Bhima is phenomenal. He took the time to truly listen to my concerns, explained everything clearly, and got to the root of the issue with a solution that was tailored to me. His bedside manner is kind, calm, and never rushed. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and their long term eye health. With his extensive background and years of experience in the Atlanta area, I felt completely confident in his care. Chris Jones, the office manager, is also a true standout. Her years of optical experience show in the way she communicates and supports both the team and the patients. She is knowledgeable, honest, approachable, and goes above and beyond to help you navigate your options. You feel like more than just a number here. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in the Cumming or North Atlanta area. It is rare to find a team that combines professionalism, warmth, and real expertise but this office does exactly that. I will definitely be returning and referring others.
