10 out of 10. Food was amazing. I had broiled seafood, my husband's fried. It was so light and delicious. Perfect fries and Cole slaw. Emily was the best server. We went back to California with sweatshirts, too. Highly recommend!

Another great meal of steak tips and a haddock sandwich. The waitress are always so pleasant

    Seafood Platter with Fish Chowder

10/10! Perfect service, so IDK how the food could be better than the service, but it was. Fish chowder with homemade bread, then the mountainous, decadent seafood platter (with breaded shrimp, clams, scallops, white fish (maybe oysters) with fresh tartar sauce, comfort-food-level potato salad, and coleslaw with a clever zing to complement the seafood. Scrubbed clean, pleasant home-kitchen atmosphere, and clearly where the locals go: if you have to wait out front to be seated don't sweat it. If I'm passing through again, this is DEFINITELY my stop.

    Chipped plate

I don't care how good the food is not when it is served on a plate that's chipped. This was a place that was recommended to us since it was our first time visiting the area. I don't think that I want to be back.

I have always loved coming to George's having grown up visiting my Dad's in Meredith. The diner is a staple for most locals or people I know who live in the area, and it is a quick, easy, great place to eat. It's a no BS diner with good, non-expensive food. There's even a tented area where you can sit outside now. Been coming here my whole life and will continue to! Service is good and it's a great time always.

Love everything about this local gem! Don't change a thing!! Service is exceptional! Food quality and quantity is right on! This is a first come, first serve place... so be patient - it's worth the wait.

Delish! Buffalo chicken wrap and tendies. Onion rings were the best! Friendly staff and quick bite.

Steak and Eggs! They also have awesome fried seafood at lunch!

The best diner in the Lakes Region. This was the steak and eggs with toast and homefries. We also love the fried whole belly clams and scallops for 23.99! I will add a picture of that when we get it again.

While on vacation, we decided to go here after looking at yelp reviews. It wasn't far from the Center Harbor Inn where we were staying. I saw online that they had daily specials, a few of them looked interesting. Overall their pricing was very good, especially compared to some of the restaurants in the area. Parking in front, also a lot across the street. Not sure if you can park there, but that's where we parked. We went around 6, luckily it was not crowded. We were able to sit right down. The place is very outdated, it looks like an older diner from the second you walk in. Our waitress was very friendly and constantly checking on us. She wanted to make sure we enjoyed our experience there. I ordered the Philly steak sandwich, which is basically a Philly cheesesteak. I didn't get everything on it, just the cheese, peppers, and onions. I also got fries to go along with my sandwich. The fries were hot and looked to be fresh made, but didn't have much taste. I added a little salt which I rarely do, that gave them some flavor. The Philly cheesesteak was OK. Couldn't taste the cheese, and the steak was just OK. Not a lot of flavor but it was hot and fresh. My fiancé and I normally pick two meals and share them. We did not do that today. I sampled some of her country fried steak. I realize that I made a mistake by not sharing. It was flavored deliciously, and fried very tender. The gravy was some of the best that I have eaten. I ended up dipping some of my french fries into it. I would return here just to get the country fried steak.

We went to George's twice for breakfast while on our trip to New Hampshire. Both times the food was great and the service was fantastic.

If you don't leave with some leftovers, you obviously have a bigger stomach than most! With the addition of alcohol to the menu, it makes, at least my experience, more enjoyable. The only downfall, at least in this trip, is that an 8 piece Buffalo Wing App is $14. That's nearly $2/wing. While cooked well, not something I'd do again. The music is always good, and they keep the tables moving. This is by far the better of the numerous locations!

I liked the look of the place from the outside and from the inside it had a nostalgic diner feel to it. This place was pretty dang packed when we came in so after maybe a 10-15 minute wait we were seated, served water, and given some menus to be faced with the difficult decision of picking out a meal. As a Canadian living in the states, anytime I see "poutine" on the menu I immediately question what is about to be served to me, but I took a chance and ordered the poutine with chicken fingers on top of it. The food didn't take very long to come out and I was fairly impressed when it was put down in front of me. The gravy looked to be right, the cheese curds were there, the fries were there, and guess what? so were the chicken strips. The meal itself was pretty solid, although the gravy tasted like non poutine gravy, otherwise I enjoyed the meal. The fries were solid and the chicken strips were what you would expect from a diner. I probably would have been a bigger fan if the menu didn't feature something called the "trump towers" since I like to keep sexual predators away from my wife and food, but hey, what are you gonna do? Overall, The Red Arrow Diner fed us and we left with full stomachs. My parents love this place and will keep on coming back for more, and I'll probably end up here again in the future with them and give it another shot.

We got the same great service as if they hadn't just had a busy holiday weekend, except they were out if chorizo. We don't eat chorizo anyway, so no matter. We were there for the promise of a fantastic breakfast. The menu is manageable, lots of choices~all pitstop themed~ but not so many that it was a chore to choose. I decided on a 3 egg swiss and mushroom omelette. It was explained that toast was extra, which isn't the norm, at least in my experience. But I dove in and ordered Rye. My Son ordered 2eggs over easy, the potatoes (not the deep fried version), bacon, ham, sausage and 2 pancakes. This breakfast seemed to include a toast option, for those who are keeping score. The food was spectacular. Very well done, simply, and with no frills save for a killer playlist that included Bittersweet Symphony. You don't often find yourself sitting at a counter, eating breakfast with special toast and hear The Verve. Worth a mention. The service was crisp, thorough and we did get a lovely smile and thank you as we checked out. But at the end of it all, the food is, or should be the star. And it was.
