George and his son did an awesome job, very pleased with the results! Went above and beyond to finish on a timeline I had. Fair pricing and no job too small, which is not the case for a lot of other guys. Don't hesitate to contact them for your projects, he's a stand up guy, willing to take the time to explain the process, and takes pride in his work. Thank you! read more

Highly recommend George for your stone care. I am very pleased with the results for both my kitchen counter/island Calcutta Gold and the black limestone on my bathroom. George has this magic touch to turn 8-year-old marble and limestone back to life that showcased the original beauty. See attached amazing pictures. George stood out from other stone experts I interviewed. He provided genuine recommendation, explained to me the rationale behind the repairs with his many years of expertise and experiences, timely follow up and skip-lunch type of hardworking. George is like an artist. I saw him stone by stone with thin razor and shared the choice of which color match. He suggested I switched from polished marble to honed since I already have glassy light-reflecting white cabinets. I could not believe the contrast, it not only emphasize the natural veins but also indeed created a balance for the entire kitchen. I told him I read that the hones were more porous. He said,"touch the satin finish, we do it differently, you can tell, and do not believe anything you read." George left me several detergents and microfiber fabrics for post treatment. He also installed the filter on my rain shower for long lasting stone beauty. read more

I had tried to clean and resurface my clay tile flooring myself, but I ended up removing a darker stain. For my Christmas present, my husband hired George to do the job right. George knows everything there is to know about clay tile, he is a true expert and also artist. He was able to hand stain and match other parts of the floor, and they turned out absolutely fabulous, with just the sheen that I wanted! It was great about checking in a lot to make sure that the color or the sheen was exactly as I envisioned. I cannot recommend him enough. He also gave me excellent instructions on how to go forward with care, and I feel confident that my floors and I will go on to have a very positive relationship. read more

George Gamboa's Stone Care - Thanks to George Gamboa Stone Care my floors are more beautiful than ever! - Refinishing Services Near Me - Salinas, California

In reading the reviews for George Gamboa's Stone Care, I would have to agree with all but 1. 5 Stars in my book. More if I could give them. I had a lot of stone work needing to be done in my house. My husband had sourced and was down to two quotes. One for a company we had done business for before on other items in the house and once from George. George came in at 1/2 the cost of the other but my hubs chose for the person we knew. WHAT A MISTAKE! They apparently didn't get what my husband asked for and only quoted a clean, fill, and seal. We needed all that plus resurface and buff. I called George after a week of not having my living area and kitchen as the other company took 5 days for shotty work and left the floors, supposedly newly sealed, with a film that was not sticky, but not wet but in between. There were also streaks. I could go on and on. George had a change in his schedule that following Monday and was there bright and early. He honored the quote and all he wanted to do was to make my house livable again. I never met him by the way. In ONE day he and his son was able to bet my travertine to a beautiful satin shine, sealed twice, and all holes re-filled with the right product, not what the others used. My granite looks like glass and my marble even brighter. In the end...1/3 the cost of the other and done in 2 days. Sending pictures via text all along the way. George's only concern was making it right for us and making sure we were thrilled with the finished product. It was not his bad to begin with. He is a wizard at his craft. Incredible with the customer. Educated me on how clean going forward and care for the stone. Thank you George. read more

My friend is a cleaning professional, and in the performance of her work, a stone countertop got damaged. She told me this, "George Gamboa 831-809-5454 fixed the counter well, he did a good job and we saved the client, so she was happy." I thought I should share this with all of you. read more

I randonly saw a FB ad for George , sent him a message, he responded quickly . I had long ago given up hope that my marble entry way would ever look like it did when it was new. I had people come out, clean it but say it could never be shiny again. George came out , took a look. , basically said no problem and my floors came our AMAZING! I seriously can't believe how great they look. I would give George 10 stars, great job, great person, I'm telling everyone I know about him. Love what he did to my entry way!!! Btw, read the review that got 1 star, can't believe it's the same company, George did great work, trying to figure out how to post a picture without downloading the Yelp app. read more

Great job on our Jerusalem stone tile. Made it look like new after many years of minimal care. Hard working and caring work ethic.

This company came out to my house in Saratoga I live in a very high end home. They said their pricing was competitive. However after seeing the house and quality of the home, they bid the job 3 times higher than two other contractors. They wanted 300.00 per hour for one person only. After asked a specific questions on the price, they refused to answer. Be warned of outrageous pricing if you live in an expensive home read more

From the travertine floor to the stone counters and all the stainless steel appliances/sink, my kitchen looks better now than when first put in place new. I did not believe this quality of service existed anymore, but grateful to be proven otherwise. George Gamboa's professional expertise and attention to the details is second to none. Highly recommended by many other professionals and others that have contracted his services. Love my kitchen! Thanks George Gamboa. Westside Santa Cruz read more

I have to agree with another reviewer. George's prices are absurd. It's tile cleaning, not surgery. He uses a lot of fancy terms and fear factors. If you live in an affluent area, be ready to pay. Sure he responds quickly. He's charging outrageous prices. There's a sucker in every town. Sure, anything that's cleaned looks amazing. It doesn't mean it's worth about $200 an hour. That's what it boiled down too.He quotes per job, not hour. read more

Very personable guy and his son, who did a very good job for less than the competition. He even went out of the way to caulk in the kitchen, which wasn't part of what we wee paying for. read more

After e-mailing George, he got back to me within 1 business day to make arrangements to look at the job I wanted done. Communication was excellent, and he got me a quote the next day, and I scheduled an appointment, within the same week. He fixed my travertine bathroom flooring (chips, grout) and also cleaned the counters and grout, caulked areas that needed it, and shined my bathtub like I had never seen it before! He also cleaned all of my kitchen counters/grout, and some tile flooring. He did an outstanding job, and I would recommend him to anyone! He provided me cleaning products & cloths, and also sent me a follow-up e-mail with the proper mop to use. Really happy with all of his work! read more

Fabulous service, kind, professional and accommodating, not to mention less expensive than the competitor. Highly recommended,

George is a magician with stone. He refinished and restored our travertine floors (about 5000 square feet) beautifully. He is a real expert and has specialized equipment that enables him to do a superb job. He is a perfectionist. After he had bid the job and we made a contract, he found numerous things that needed extra work - sometimes additional patching and correcting work that he had bid, and sometimes issues with things that were not in the contract, such as in the showers and kitchen counters. He took care of these without additional charge. He returned to correct additional issues (such an unnnoticed flaw in the stone in the shower that was not part of the original contract), promptly, willingly, and again without charge. He is courteous, professional, and prompt. He cleaned up completely after each day's work so that our home never seemed like a construction site. It was a pleasure to have him and his son in our home. I would never have anyone else do stone work in my home. read more
