We were looking for someone to remove the carpet on the upper level of our home and replace it with wood-look tile that matched the ground floor level of our home. (This was almost 800 sq ft). We talked to 4 different companies to get estimates and time lines. The price American Tile quoted was right in the middle of all the estimates we received. Tony at American Tile was by far the most knowledgeable about what we were asking to have done in our project. We had a dilemma about what to do with our very large staircase, which is a prominent feature in our home. We didn't want the stairs to be all tile, (for safety reasons), and we were bored with having them carpeted. Tony help us design something beautiful. We used decorative tile on the risers and carpeted the treads, creating a beautiful feature. Tony's team consists of true craftsmen. There were some tricky aspects of this project, but Tony's team did a stellar job. His guys did everything we needed from ripping out the carpet and hauling it away to touching up the paint on baseboards at the end of the project. He told us 3 weeks for completion and they were finished in 3 weeks time. I thought I was a perfectionist until I met Tony. He saw things I would have missed and our new floor is gorgeous. I can't recommend American Tile enough. In fact I have three smaller projects that I will be scheduling with them after the New Year. I should also mention that Tony is a really nice person! This review is long over due. What can I say about Tony and his team...AWESOME! I would highly recommend them and would use them again. Tony came recommended to us by a contractor friend of my husband's. We are new to the area and didn't know a good tiler for our mini reno project in our kitchen. We needed help with the back splash. Tony came out to quote the project and also assisted me with a plumber. EVERYONE from his team ( including the plumber ) were great to work with. I did order my own tile for this project and his team worked to ensure the project was completed properly. Each day, they would finish the day cleaning up behind them so that we were living with minimum dust from the project. American Tile may not be cheap, but nor are they expensive...you pay for what you get. They take pride in their work. read more

We have two extremely small bathrooms, so not many possibilities; Tony, however, hooked us up! We love them and have compliments from guests all the time. Tony had some awesome ideas as to how to make each one unique, and he also gave us some ideas as to how use elements from adjoining rooms to tie in to the bathrooms (such as using the brick pattern from a fireplace in the living room and re-creating the pattern in the bathroom, as the bathroom is visible from the living room when the door is open). I never would have thought to consider such details, but it looks great Tony is also very meticulous about his work (and does great clean-up when the job is done!). Hiring a contractor is a leap of faith. When we met with Tony he impressed us as knowledgeable, competent, professional and willing to give us his honest experienced opinion. He quickly grasps your vision & then is able to gently & expertly help you realize it. His suggestions are spot on & he is happy to incorporate your ideas. His amazing work staff (Miguel is awesome) are highly aware they are working in your home & do their best to make it as comfortable as possible. They are always on time & do a great job of keeping the work area separate from the rest of the home using special dividing "curtains" of plastic with zippers.
