Another thing that differentiated him from the other companies I called was that he was willing to help me move my heavy furniture items out and back in when we returned from our trip (it was a 2-week job). That was a relief for us - I didn't want to have to coordinate with a moving company for such a short job - and my wife and I can't manage the heavy items. The owner, Aaron Gonzales is a very experienced professional, who did not pressure us, and who was very honest and straightforward in what he could do and the cost. Aaron knows hard wood and provided great advice to us. His workers were polite and neat, they were always very punctual, and he finished up exactly when he said he would. In fact --He was better than we were! Right at the start, we had to ask him to adjust his start date later than we had agreed --and he adjusted without problem. The results were fantastic. He not only made our hardwood floor look beautiful, but he also updated the floor trim, and even the floor heater registers to match. We could not have better work from anyone! Floor Coverings International Monterey Bay…read more Bernardo and his crew did an outstanding job on my Dad's mobile home in Capitola. They had to remove carpeting that had been installed in 1992. The padding pretty much disintegrated and they had to remove about a 1000 staples. The carpeting was removed in 3 rooms, the large living area, the master bedroom, and a spare bedroom. What was amazing is they finished the job in 2 days ! They then moved all the heavy furniture back in each room. What we can't figure out is how they got those 2 twin sofa sleepers through the door. In any case, if you have any need to install laminate flooring ( we went with LVP with is a higher quality with a moisture barrier ) or any flooring, I would highly recommend Floorings International of Montery. Gene Perrier Local Guide·13 reviews·4 photos 2 hours ago New Bernardo and his helper did an amazing job. This was my Dad's mobile home in Capitola, near the ocean. The carpeting was old and smelly, and stained and needed to be removed. There probably was over thousand staples from the padding that had to be removed. Bernardo and his team got the carpet removed and the new floors installed in only 2 days ! Now granted we left the existing floor in the dining room but they had to remove the main living area, a large bedroom, and a smaller bedroom. While my daughter and son in law got all the furniture moved off the floors, they did return and moved the heavy stuff back into each room as directed. They somehow also got 2 twin sofa sleepers inside the living area as directed. They arrived earlier than expected so we gave them the combo to the lock box . When they were done, they locked both doors and put the key back in the lock box. We went with an LVP flooring since that particular brand is moisture proof since we live by the ocean. I would highly recommend Floorings International of Monterey for any flooring installation. See photos below Photo 1 of 3 Photo 2 of 3 Photo 3 of 3
