This place is absolutely amazing and super fast. I came about 30 min earlier than my appt and they still allowed me to drop my car off and said they would get started on it right away. Noon rolls around (dropped off at 940) and they call me to tell me my car is done and they were able to recalibrate my sensors for my Toyota Corolla '18. Got my passenger front window and my windshield replaced here, everything about this place was great. I was able replace both windows under the same deductible! The staff was awesome and very friendly as well. I was able to wait in the office and do some work while they replaced the glass. They even have complimentary coffee, Gatorade, water and a few other small sized drinks. It has been a pleasure working with Genuine Auto Glass. I talked to them yesterday about replacing the windshield on my '08 Honda CR-V, and they said they could fit me in today. When I arrived, I parked in their lot, checked in with Ron at the front desk and gave them my key. I opted wait in their lobby where they have a couch, chairs, a wide variety of magazines, and free beverages (water, tea, hot chocolate). I was told the work would take 2 hours, but it was closer to 2.5. However, they were very professional about everything. They were busy too! 99% of dealerships in Tacoma must use them to do windshield replacements. I heard them talk to customers and reps from Lexus, BMW, Ford, and Toyota. I myself heard about them from Toyota of Tacoma. After everything was done, Amanda (who helped set everything up), rung me up and got me on my way. The cost was exactly what was quoted on the phone, so no surprises. It looks great and you can't tell it's a new replacement. They even put the Honda oil change sticker back on. These guys were able to get me in same day after one of Tacoma's finest residents busted out the rear window of my parents' jeep that I had been borrowing. I didn't shop around for prices so I don't know how they compare price wise. While they got some massive shards that ended up in the front of the car, they could have spent a little more time cleaning the broken glass from the immediate area where the window was broken. I found some pretty big shards that I'm not sure how they were missed. Next time I'd price compare just to make sure I was getting a decent deal, but based on the repair quality I'd definitely come back here. read more

absolutely amazing customer service, and would highly recommend Genuine Auto Glass over any other glass replacement facility in the PNW! First off, after 3 tries with my insurance (progressive) and them forcing me to use Shitlite (I mean Safelite) to get the correct windshiled for my Volvo XC90, I lost my cool, as every time i showed up, they had the wrong glass. 4 months later, i bite the bullet our of frusturation and call Volvo directly as I was willing to pay the $2800 out of pocket at the dealer instead of dealing with Progressive. The dealer then tells me they use this local family business called Genuine Auto Glass. So i give them a call, tell them my awful experience with Progressive/Safelife and they say, no problem, we got you covered. They ordered the correct factory glass replacement directly from volvo (not the aftermarket BS that progressive tries to force you to buy) and even transferred over the claim from progressive to themseleves without me having to do any middle man work. Progressive told me i would have to pay the difference with original glass and the total would be $1600, but fine....at least i have OEM glass. so 3 weeks later i get a call from Genuine saying the glass is in, so i set up an appointment, drop off the car, and within 4 hours the car is done, recalibrated, and functioning properly! best part.....I walk in to pay my $1600 and the lady goes, its only $1000. I am like HOW?? thats my deductible, and I have to pay the diff. She goes "nope, we convinced progressive to cover the cost and its just your deductible" DUDE..... you just saved me $600 during the pandemic. thank you!!! you have not idea how much that meant. lessons learned. 1) support the small local shops, they are better and just treat their customers better, and your money stays local. 2) progressive's partnership with safelite is a total SCAM. they are purposely dicking customers an extra $600 to get some extra profits out of you. and 3) I saved a bunch of money by letting the local guy work their magic. I had a cracked windshield on my 2013 Jeep Wrangler for over a year, received quotes from Safelite and private venders but never satisfied with the quote or service they offered. Took a chance on Auto Genuine since it was a preferred vender through my work and I am extremely happy with their service. They replaced my window while I was at work and cleaned up my car. when I got a chip they were easy to work with and quick to get it done (for free). I'm usually a little skeptical of going with anyone's first suggestion on anything but I decided to take them up after being treated really well on the phone. I'm glad I did! The people that work the front are punctual and communicative. The waiting room is comfy to be at while they work on your car and they got me in same day! Thank you. The only suggestion I would give you (genuine auto glass) is to say "xx amount BEFORE tax" not "xx amount plus tax". This long-term quality review of Genuine Auto Glass. I had my windshield replaced here five years ago and have had a couple problems with this windshield that were costly. My initial interactions with Genuine were great - they were friendly, prompt, and efficient. I was happy to have supported a local-ish business. Unfortunately, I moved across the country within a year of having my windshield replaced and there aren't any Genuine Auto Glass shops in the area to have my windshield serviced. Problems I've encountered: 1.) The rear-view mirror attachment wasn't secure and ended up breaking within six months after the installation of this windshield. The cost associated with this was more than the windshield replacement itself. 2.) I now have a high pitched squeaking/squealing sound coming from my windshield that is indicative of a defective seal. Usually this is replaced with the warranty from windshield replacements, but again I'm not in the area and the cost associated with this is equivalent to the replacement of the windshield. read more

Terrible experience. Windshield cracked within 10 days, starting from under the seal. Tech came out. Totally dismissive. Said there is a teeny chip just at the edge of the seal (and under the windshield wiper below the level of the hood). Had he been slightly empathetic, or offered to get me scheduled right away, or offered any slight discount, or tried at all - maybe I would have accepted it at face value and just paid for a new one again. I actually have a small fleet of cars, and two more that need windshields. I own three companies and nobody I know nor any of my employees will go here. Not sure when they will fix the leak/not very helpful or sympathetic to my problem ****I contacted the company's Owner/Founder and he put local franchisee in touch with me to get this fixed today. Update: technicians just left my place after quickly fixing the leak point. Very courteous and efficient. Tech gave me his business card to call him directly if it is still leaking today. Awesome place especially the service from Tia. She was so kind and helpful. The positive reviews about her are all true. :) She helped me file my rock chip repair through my insurance, which was great, because I was expecting to pay out of pocket. As for the repair... it was done well and quick. The chip unfortunately was on my driver side of the windshield. The repair made it less visible. It's still there but I think it's much better than it was before. Also, it's always good to get any chip repaired before it turns worse. Always a bummer when you get a rock chip on your way to work but overall I had a great experience from start to finish thanks to Tia. Thank you Tia and everyone at Genuine Auto Glass in Tacoma. Monday, 7/13/20, was the 2nd time we had Genuine Auto Glass service our vehicles - because our service representative, Vince Culp had done such excellent work on my truck windshield about 5 years ago. I requested Vince take care of us and we're so glad he's still with Genuine Auto Glass. He arrived on time, was prepared with the right materials & tools, then he replace windshields in both our vehicles due to rock chips directly in both drivers sights over the steering wheels. NOTE: The 1st time Vince helped us he showed me what a competitor had done to my truck windshield, causing rain water leaks, then showed me how he was fixing the problem, which never happened again. THIS TIME Vince showed me why the weather stripping on my wife's car, recently repaired by a local body shop, was loose and nearly falling off. He then re-crimped the holding clips and reinstalled my weather stripping from windshield, over the doors clear to the back window. Our car was vandalized, the window was broken to steal a handbag. We don't leave valuables in the car, so they got nothing.. we were late to our appointment which she said that's OK.. After the inspection we were told about 2-1/2 hours, we took off to get some lunch then off to the grocery store.. We didn't even finish eating when she call and said it was ready.. A rock chip turned into a long crack on my windshield so I called around to Speedy and Safelite and got price quotes. I googled and found that Genuine was rated higher than both and was priced higher than Safelite by $30 but lower than Speedy by $40 so decided to give them a try. They quoted me 2 hours and they finished within that time. They probably would have finished before that but the tech lost my wiper bolt in the engine when he removed it. They offered to order me a new one and get it installed the next day but when I got my car back I found the bolt so they reinstalled my wiper. The windshield install is super clean. I could not tell the difference between my original and replacement other than the missing Toyota logo. Despite the windshield wiper mishap I would use them again due to the quality of their work. I doubt they will lose another bolt in the future. read more

My windshield was hit by rock resulting in a small chip. I called one of the large national windshield repair companies. Instead of reaching a human, I had to deal with a never-ending automated phone tree. I eventually went by one of their locations and was told they could get me in, in three weeks. So instead of waiting three weeks, I called up Genuine Auto Glass and was told that they could get me in, in two days. I showed up to my appointment, and they took my car into their clean, organized shop and started the repair. I sat in their comfortable waiting area. I have been the unlucky driver to get two major rock chips in the last month while on the freeway. The first chip one was bad, but the second one was worse! For the first one, the owner of Genuine Glass looked at it and said they would do their best to repair it so I wouldn't need a new windshield. I was skeptical but my husband took it in for the appointment. When he brought my car home, I was amazed enough to call their office and compliment them for the beautiful drive! When the second rock chip happened and it looked worse than the first, I immediately drove to Genuine Glass. It was Friday night and they were definitely busy. But the owner recognized me and scrambled his staff to attempt the repair because he said if I hadn't brought it in, it would not have lasted over the weekend and I would be replacing my window. I took my wife's Honda CRV into Genuine to get a small rock chip repaired. As soon as the technician put the chip repair device on the windshield the chip cracked. The technician explained to me that the chip was "in the worst possible place" it could be and that as soon as he tried to fill the chip the windshield cracked. He told me that the crack would not spread and that it should be fine. Hours later the crack had spread. I called the the shop and left a voicemail expressing my displeasure with the situation asking them to call me back. No return call. I would avoid this shop. They have a fair amount of good reviews but I will not return or recommended them. read more

My car had been broken into while I was in the 38th St Safeway at about 9:15 this morning. I was in hysterics (didn't know what to do, who to go to, etc). My husband found Genuine Auto Glass and talked to them about what had happened. They were able to order the glass for my '19 Chevy Cruze and install it same day. I dropped it off around 11am and they had it done by 3pm. The technician who spoke to me, when he came out to bring my car in, listened to each concern I brought to his attention (glass in the buckles and some glass I saw in the vents). When my husband picked up my car, it looked as though the break-in had never happened.
