Love this place!.. Small town place with outstanding service and even better food... The best part is the chef, himself... He always comes out to say hello to us... Love this place!..

Branzino with polenta and grilled asparagus

Many thanks to Joey and Amber for a wonderful evening to celebrate our anniversary. The summer salad was watermelon with greens, with a great substitute of cantaloupe. The spinach salad dressing had a nice kick also. We ordered the Bronzino and the lamb chops both were delicious and nicely prepared. The garden was beautifully done, by the owner and his crew, and everything was laden with pride. We will return, we will bring friends, Many thanks again!

Fresh, cooked to order food. We have brunch here. I got their special crab and asparagus omlette. Cooked perfectly. Love their home fries, seasoned and crunchy on the outside. Hubby got avocado Benedict, very delicious also. We finally have a nice cool day, so we got to sit outside. They have a beautiful garden and seating in side and back of the restaurant. It's like eating in France again.

Had a lovely brunch here! The food was absolutely to die for, the service was super kind, and the atmosphere was so cute, especially the outdoor seating area! Entrance was a little tight but we were seated quickly so I didn't mind it :)

The food and service were just okay. not the best spot i've visited in doylestown. Food: My party shared the mushroom sandwich, salad, and filet mignon hash. I wasn't a fan of the filet mignon seasoning and the mushroom sandwich was just okay, but the salad was my favorite out of all three. Service: there weren't many workers so i completely understand there being a hefty delay on bringing things out. other notes: my cup had thick lipstick stains, and there were strange black specs in all of our hot waters. i think this portion will be the reason why i don't return.

This place is completely inaccessible by wheelchair -- entrance, bathroom, parking, the works. 28 years after the ADA. Still.

Ask the Community - Genevieve's Kitchen

I know this place is a street parking. Any pub parking lot near by?

Yes, there are several small and larger public parking lots within walking distance of the restaurant. Also note that parking is free in Doylestown after 5:00 pm and all day Sundays and Holidays.

Is there any outdoor seating?

Yes. Small side yard seating. Very nice in good weather.

If I could give zero stars, I would…read more We reserved Paganini Ristorante in Doylestown for a rehearsal dinner.. 30 guests, three tables, and what should've been a special, celebratory evening. Our reservation was for 7:00 p.m., and by 8:00 p.m., not a single bite of food had been served. People were tired, hungry and confused. Upstairs, drinks were flowing but food? Nowhere to be found. When we asked for just bread, we were told they wouldn't serve it until everyone was seated. The bartender (who doubled as the server) and the manager were rude, defensive, dismissive, repeating, "We've been in the business 35 years." You'd never guess it. We didn't start eating until 9:00 p.m., and honestly, it would've been better if we hadn't: - Frozen, boiled chicken with soggy canned tomatoes - Veal so tough you couldn't cut it - Watery, flavorless fish / "Family-style" pasta dumped on individual plates: reheated, cold, overly garlicky (and we like garlic), with zero balance or seasoning When the bread did finally arrive, they handed out one roll per person--and some of us are convinced they were from Costco. No butter, just a bottle of off-brand olive oil at the table. It was comical--until it wasn't. To top it off: - My mom found a bug in her salad - My brother spotted one crawling on the wall - A quarter of our group left early to feed their kids elsewhere, and staff still tried to serve food to their empty seats Meanwhile, every other restaurant in Doylestown was packed (thanks to a nearby game), yet people looked happy and well-fed. Paganini only had four tables to manage and still couldn't get it right. Then came the final insult: a surprise 20% mandatory gratuity on drink tabs. No signage, no heads-up. Just quietly added. When we pushed back, we were told, "That's just how we do things." Not only unethical, it's probably illegal in PA when undisclosed. My mother paid over $2,000 for this dinner. We wouldn't have paid $5 on the street for this food. Nothing was homemade. Nothing was Italian. And nothing about this experience reflected care, competence or customer service. Save yourself the heartbreak and go literally anywhere else.

If it wasn't for my friend who lives nearby, I would not have been there. The appetizers were just as bad. You have paper thin slices of vegetables offered, that's unacceptable. Your pasta dish was also bland, but at least it was cooked properly. You have ABSOLUTELY no idea what good Italian food is. Nobody who knows NYC Italian food would ever recommend this place. Not to mention the fact that I have an injury and had to walk up two flights of stairs to go to a bathroom. You should get a citation for not having handicapped access to a restroom. The only positive thing was the lovely waitress who served us. You're lucky you're in a German area where nobody has a clue what real Italian food is like.

The only caveat is that the dining area is small and can get loud. The meal came quick. We ordered a Caprese Salad which was great. The mozzerella tasted good and the tomatoes were red and fresh. The balsamic they used was also top rate. They split the order in 2 and served on separate plates which wa since so we wife and I did not argue about who got more. For the main cause, I had Poppy's Chicken which is always good. I like food a little spicy and this meets that bill. The sausage on top of the chicken is actually a little hot (spicy). Sometimes dishes like this do not have as much topping as I like. in this case it was perfect. Finally for dessert, we had the Barry callout chocolate cake. People in the US do not realize how good of chocolate Callout makes but you can taste it in the cake. The final good word is that this is a BYOB establishment, and we like that too because wine is always so overpriced. The bottom line is that we will continue coming here for special occasions. The food and atmosphere is great.

I had ordered a pie to be delivered and it arrived not exactly the way I ordered it. I called the restaurant to voice my complaint and I spoke to the store manager, Joe. Not only did Joe offer to make me another pizza, he told me that he'd deliver it to my house personally, which he did within 30 minutes. I read reviews about poor service frequently, I wanted to take the time to let people know, excellent customer service still does exist. Thanks Joe, I hope your bosses know how big of an asset you are.

Tonight I passed on going to Steak on State and left disappointed with Lucatelli's once again. The sandwich I had tonight was like a completely different cheesesteak from the one that originally made this place stand out, and I've noticed similar issues with other menu items as well. The inconsistency has become the silent killer here -- inconsistent portion sizes, declining ingredient quality, and a lack of attention to detail. Lucatelli's is still a good restaurant, which is why this is disappointing to see. Winning the award has obviously brought in a lot of new customers wanting to try the cheesesteak, and with that comes higher expectations. My recommendation would simply be to get back to focusing on consistency, quality ingredients, and the small details that made the place stand out in the first place. If they do that, they should have no problem being in the conversation again for next year's award.
