Located in a corner of a restaurant strip mall this Halal restaurant already gives your a sense of comfort. You walk into the music and wonderful smells lingering from the kitchen. The subtle dim lighting already gives you that cozy ambiance, then you add the decor from the Arabic guitar to the motorcycle turned table. We knew we were in for a real treat. We sat and the owner could not have been any nicer. Felt like we knew her forever. Immediately felt like a regular. You can see what we ordered, but let me tell you the taste was amazing! Everything was fresh and full of flavors. Layers of flavors, harmoniously blended hit all the points of your pallet. The sampler was amazing and our meal was even more incredible. You can't go wrong. Grabbed some takeout on my way home from a long trip and the food definitely hit the spot! The ambiance in the restaurant is quaint and cute. Wife and I ate lunch here on a rainy Tuesday, right at noon. We were the only customers but 3 or 4 came for takeouts while we were there. Place was nicely appointed, service was friendly and attentive, menu was broad for a Mediterranean restaurant. Food was very, very good. Only frustration was it was a 30 minute weight from order to service. We aren't in Hatboro often, but when we are we will seriously consider Roxanna again. read more

I tried this place the other day for the first time. The inside is small but clean. I got a chicken kabob platter w veggies and salad. The chicken was still tender and tasty. Still go here pretty regularly but it is starting to slip. Little things like charging extra to order on line or extra to pay with credit card aren't as annoying when the food is great, but the last couple times have been inconsistent bordering on poor. In the past the falafel has been a favorite item, but the last time we ordered them they were burned beyond being edible. Everything else seems to be slipping a little bit here. I really hope they get it together and bounce back because I've loved their stuff in the past and hope to again. read more

Came here under the impression that it got 4.5 stars but after my experience I think this place is a 3 star max. It's a smaller place that was not crowded when we arrived. We had a nice waitress but then a shift change must've happened because another woman starting to wait on us and she barely did that. Perhaps she was inexperienced but the service was full of uncertainty and unnecessary questions like if we wanted plates or when we asked for a check she asked if we wanted to pay.... The food was just ok. The pita is thin and hard, the mini sampler was decent but the entrees: lamb schwarma and the gyro were extremely dry, very much over cooked. The fries were good but you don't go to a Mediterranean spot for fries. We normally clear out plates when it comes to Mediterranean but this time there was plenty that wasn't eaten. read more

Truthfully I don't think I'll be back. I wanted to like this place because I love me some middle eastern food, especially falafel, but, I was bummed. I ordered a falafel wrap, an order of 8 grape leaves and a container of hummus and pita. The falafel wrap was OK but very dry and felt lacking. I ate one stuffed grape leaf and tossed the rest. The taste was strange and the texture of the leaves was weird. I love stuffed grape leaves so I was surprised to not like it. The leaves were particularly stringy, if that makes sense. And, the hummus...while it was not terrible, it was not what I was hoping for. I was hoping for some damn good homemade hummus. While this probably is homemade, I wasn't a fan of the taste and the texture was also strange and overly thick. Sort of reminded me of grits. I know I probably sound like a super judgemental, picky eater based on this review but I promise most of my reviews are glowing!! I really just was not a fan of my entire order tonight. Pricing was fine, portions were large and service was quick, but, I didn't really enjoy my meal, so, I likely won't be back and probably wouldn't recommend. This weekend we discovered Rozana Mediterranean Grill! What a delightful experience. Family business that is welcoming and feels like home. The service is superb and spot on. The food is amazing, in fact I told them I wish we had come for lunch just so we could stay for dinner. We ordered Hummus, Falafels, Chicken Kebabs, and Kafta Kebab entries. Outstanding! For dinner I had the shawarma with beef and chicken. The meats were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The side of roasted veggies, very tasty too. We went to celebrate my husbands birthday, it was his choice of restaurant. We loved the ambiance which includes various forms of transportation as decoration and lights, nice, intimate and home like,and a visiting skeleton at one table. The place was busy. Although the lighting was a bit dark for reading the menu, it was great for dinner. We had BYOB wine with our vegetarian mini sampler appetizer which was great!! The only negative comment i can make is that the pita bread was not warm. We all loved our entrees, lamb shawarma. mixed shawarma, and veggie combo platter, which was much like the appetizer and very good. Also ordered baklava for dessert, but it was unfortunately still frozen and we ended up having dessert at home. All in all great meal, friendly and attentive service, family run and operated, good ambiance and very calming environment. Also, the entrance and seating was wheelchair friendly.
