Happy Birthday Roseanna!
Roseanna K.

60th Birthday Celebration Dinner. Appetizers, antipasto and 3 pastas with meatballs served family style along with breads and Angelo's famous pizza, prior to our entrees, with plenty to take home! Everyone was pleased with the service and delicious food. Angelo and team never disappoint. I've been eating and having parties here for over 20 years! Thank you for a memorable 60th Birthday!!

The exquisite Denicola salad filled with lettuce and...ummm...

How is this place 4 stars? All of the food we ordered was terrible across the board. We decided to get the the veal with asparagus and a side of spaghetti and meatballs as well as the penne arrabbiata. The lunch special also came with minestrone soup and a salad. I hated my meal. The veal was sour and had a pasty coating on it, as if it was pre-made and sitting in the fridge all week. Definitely spoiled. The asparagus was clearly from a can. Salad, I kid you not, was a small plate of lettuce with a tiny slice of tomato on top. Even crappy restaurant side salads have an olive or 2 or some carrot shreds. This was just lettuce. Mmmm lettuce. The Minestrone was okay and probably the best aspect of the meal, but it was drastically under-seasoned and a tiny portion, maybe a half cup. The dining room was nice enough and the staff was pleasant, but the sure sign that something was up here was the fact that there were no other patrons in the place. I mean, it's noon on a Friday and it's empty? I realize it's Richboro, PA and not a bustling city; but certainly, if a place is good, people will be eating lunch there...especially they're offering an $9 lunch special. Anyway, I don't see how these guys can stay open serving awful food like this. One star.

Uva could not have made our 25th anniversary dinner more special. From the moment we walked in the…read moredoor we were well taken care of. Amazing staff, beautiful atmosphere, and most importantly, delicious food. The owner himself greeted us at the table and told us all about the specials of the night and checked in on us regularly to make sure that everything was perfect. Uva is a small business, family owned, and operated - not a flashy chain. The price is a little higher, and you may wait a little longer than other places for your food - but that is all due to intentional, cooking, quality ingredients, and caring about what they are sending to the table. If you're looking for a quick saucy dish, then the OG is for you... but if you're looking for good quality food, Uva is the place to go. I highly recommend Uva, not only for special occasions, but for those moments when you're craving a good Italian meal

You can't go wrong visiting Uva any day of the week.

Another double date with our foodie friend's pick…read more And wow what a pick! A beautifully decorated (both outside and inside) quaint restaurant, with a visible pizza oven. We shared a literally beautiful antipasto for an appetizer. It boasted fresh mozzarella balls, eggplant, artichokes, sweet red peppers, prosciutto, and olives. We had a good and soft loaf of bread with a yummy olive oil and balsamic dip too. Our meals were ALL tremendous! We had pasta dishes - gnocchi marsala and fettuccine with clams - EXCELLENT! I had plenty of sauce left to dip the soft bread into :) The other couple had octopus (appetizer) and seafood atop squid ink pappardelle pasta. They loved their dishes as well. Of course we didn't have room for dessert, but our chocolate wine and other wines were definitely sufficient. BYOB's are great and money saving. This place is a bit of a haul but I hope to get back in the future !

We had heard about La Voglia and decided to try it out! We went on a Friday evening and it wasn't…read moretoo crowded. The restaurant has a warm feel to it and is decorated nicely. They serve a delicious homemade bread that's warm when it's brought the table. In addition, it's accompanied by a dish of olive oil, with balsamic vinegar and what I believed to be a spicy dusting of pepper. It was a little too spicy for me - however, I did like the addition of the balsamic as a change from just olive oil. I would skip the pepper though, unless you like spice. We ordered the Polpette as an appetizer; it's a 'tradition' of mine. If meatballs are on the menu, I will always order them. These lamb, veal and beef meatballs were very good, and the marinara sauce they came in was excellent! The sauce is actually a 'roasted pomodoro' gravy - which is an 'intensified' version of a classic Italian sauce. It's made by roasting the tomatoes at a very high heat and almost caramelizing them. A little feta was added to the sauce, which really highlighted those meatballs!! We split the order - as 5 meatballs is quite a large appetizer! We decided to share two entrees - the Beef Short Ribs and the Lobster Ravioli. I always ask if the short ribs are lean - our server responded they were very lean...and they were. Soft, tender and very flavorful large chunks of beef, with a deliciously rich gravy with mushrooms on a bed a creamy garlic mashed potatoes! It was a superb dish! The website said the Short Ribs were the restaurant's most popular meal. Next, the Lobster Ravioli. The dish was a very 'delicate' one, with a very subtle brandy cream sauce. It had chopped jumbo shrimp and peeled cherry tomatoes with the raviolis. While the sauce tasted fine, it needed 'something' - we added pepper which helped. The raviolis were good - we couldn't taste lobster in the cheese of the raviolis - we assumed it was there. The chopped shrimps though provided a nice additional seafood flavor. I like my raviolis tender - the kind that almost melt in your mouth. The pasta here was firmer - a little more 'al dente', but it was fine. We ended our meal with the Chocolate Mousse. Served in a martini glass, the mousse had a velvety texture with a deep dark chocolate flavor. It was very rich yet light and fluffy; a good choice for dessert!
