DiCarlo does itself a disservice by letting itself be called only a pizza joint. The "restaurant" is really the more important piece of the action at this small Italian kitchen in the Mallard Creek Shopping Center, Richboro. There is an extensive menu with some interesting dishes that cry for attention. Very glad we went that way, rather than limiting ourselves to a couple of pies as suggested by the restricted name. We ordered Chicken Francaise with Linguini, Veal Bruschetta with Broccoli, Carlos Junior with Linguini and a Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich. They were all huge portions, well designed and surprisingly tasty. The francaise was three large breast medallions in a decent butter, lemon, white wine sauce. It could have been more tender and penne would have worked better than the messy linguini. Still it was good, if not best of breed. On the other hand, the veal was lightly breaded and pan fried before being topped with fresh chopped tomato bruschetta. It was delicious even if the broccoli had long tough stalks. The Junior was basically an Italian Sausage and Penne dish with a garlicky sauce. Good, but its name was the most creative part. Finally, the Chicken Parm sandwich was immense and very good. Each dish was enough for at least two meals, so in combination with the reasonable prices, made for an economical family feast to celebrate surviving another week of Covid. Because of the lack of attention to detail on a few of our choices, the actual score is 3.5 Stars, rounded up. Refine the francaise sauce a bit, pare down the broccoli to remove more tough stalk, use real Italian loaf for garlic bread, offer choice of pasta on phone orders; and this simple house could approach a five star takeout experience.

The service was friendly and the food was prepared as ordered and quick. Unfortunately, those are the bright spots for my experience. The pizza was very average. The crust was floppy and a bit bland, the cheese was fine but a little greasy. The sauce had a nice tang and was the best part of the pizza. If I had just ordered the pizza, I probably would've rated it 3*. I made the mistake of ordering the wings. I ordered them with the standard buffalo/hot sauce. The sauce on them was shockingly greasy. There was little to no heat or wing sauce flavor. I could only stomach 2 wings before the grease became too much. I dried them off myself with paper towels, tossed them in the oven for a few minutes to try and dry them out, then used my own sauce to try to salvage the wings. If I had ordered just the wings, this would've been a 1* rating. Overall, the wings were some of the worst I've ever had due to the grease. The pizza is OK, but there are better options very close by. I don't see myself ordering here again.

Dominick's Pizza -- My Cardiologist is Furious, My Mouth is Ecstatic…read more Someday my wife is going to sue Dominick's Pizza. Not for negligence, not for bad service-- For knowingly engineering a menu item that actively sabotages my cardiovascular system in the most delicious way imaginable. We're talking about the Vodka Rigatoni Thick Crust Pizza, a culinary abomination so perfect it belongs in court as Exhibit A for premeditated artery clogging. Let's break it down: * The crust? Thick, doughy, unapologetically dense, like they triple-proofed it out of spite. * The rigatoni? Swimming in vodka sauce, rich enough to stain your soul, clinging to the pizza like it knows you have health insurance. * The cheese? Melted into a lava field of saturated fat, pooling in ways that should be illegal in three counties. Every bite is a mild cardiovascular emergency. I can feel my arteries narrowing like a traffic jam during rush hour, but my mouth? My mouth is hosting a five-star food rave. I know what's happening: * My blood's getting thicker than the sauce. * My veins are filing noise complaints. * My heart's staging protests. And yet, I order it again. And again. And again. It's objectively terrible for me. It's subjectively divine. It's literally to die for--probably soon. Highly recommend. Bring napkins. Draft your will.

When I went in there was just one girl working up front. She took my order which is a pretty consolidated menu - just a few good options of pizza, steaks and chicken cutlets and a few sides. I like that it isn't so giant. I knew I wanted to try the mozzerella sticks and I was debating between a cheesesteak and a cutlet sandwich. But also was toying with the idea of a meatball- specifically because I heard they had good sauce and I wasn't trying a pizza this trip. I went with the cheesesteak which on the menu boasts ribeye and a seeded roll. I ordered cooper sharp (usually I do American, this was the first time getting cooper sharp) and onions. Let me first say the steak was chopped perfectly the sandwich was heftyyy and it was loaded with cheese - all mixed in. Very good! Super tender meat. I will say that, personally, I'm used to getting a lighter cheese steak and adding sauce so this was definitely different for me but I can recognize how good it was. I did decided to order a side of meatballs to try - this was the only thing that didn't hit for me. They weren't bad but I would have liked more flavor. They were super tender though and I could tell they were homemade just as the menu says (hand rolled with a 200 year old family recipe) and the sauce - amazing! I topped that sauce on my steak and it was an elite combo for me as I, again personal preference, like to break up the cheese a bit. Overall the steak was really good and oh my gosh the mozzerella sticks- they were huge and the breading had such great flavor! Definitely a perfect pairing with their sauce. If I come back knowing how good the mozz breading is I definitely wanna try a chicken cutlet and pizza. The food came out super fast was super fresh. Definitely a good spot and I'm sure I'll be back!

This triple pasta dinner was to include Penne a la vodka, pasta alfredo, & a pomodoro? The alfredo was flavorless, undercooked farfelle with a milky sauce - no flavor, not thick with milk, butter or parmesan cheese, or even a touch of fresh parsley,...then TWO red penne dishes, side by side. First, the penne vodka tasted of no shallots or garlic- bland & again, undercooked. And, next to the pomodoro? No taste. Didn't they have any other pastas? Why use TWO penne's & why place them side by side? The portion was ridiculously huge! It was delivered in a 9x12 aluminum baking tray. No flatware, no napkin, no roll (They send a 5" personal pizza instead?!), no receipt. And the worst part? Yelp said they were open until 9:30, but when trying to call to complain, there was no answer, but I was asked to put in a remote code. I wanted a credit. Perhaps I can reheat some of the food with some spices & herbs & make something edible with the visually unappealing & 3 woefully tasteless, undercooked pasta dishes. What a waste of money. What a shame since this restaurant has a good reputation for many years. Perhaps the chef had the night off? Or perhaps they have strayed & lost their passion for cooking. P.S. I called the next day & spoke to the manager (said he was)... his basic answer was 'that's the way we serve it' & 'maybe you should come in & try it in the restaurant since it's different when delivered.' I said that I wasn't interested in paying for the same dish again - he offered nothing! I confirmed with 'so that's your answer?...you have nothing to offer?' Okay. My answer? - I won't be back.

From the street it has a really cool look and the inside leans into an industrial style with a great aesthetic. It's a comfortable space with a nice vibe. We ordered a couple of cocktails: a lemon drop and a Manhattan. Strategically we decided to split a Detroit-style pizza called the Iron Pig. Good call because one square was the perfect amount for dinner. And now we have a few meals to heat up for the next few days. The drinks were excellent and the pizza was outstanding. Great flavor. Our server Ally was welcoming and friendly and top notch on service. It is the middle of winter so we weren't considering outside dining, but they have a great outdoor space near the street. Looks like a fun place to hang out. It's definitely a place we'd consider visiting again.

They don't have server tunnel vision, they work as a team and it shows! The vibes are so cool here. I mean, if you're gonna open a cafe next to a scrap yard, you have to lean in to the theming. I love the vibes, I love the appearance. The food is amazing top to bottom. First, their coffee drinks are always spot hitting, partly due to the fact that they roast their own coffee beans on site. The cocktail menu is always enticing an even though I'm not a huge drinker, I'll be working my way around this. The breakfast options are plenty and if you don't get their bacon you are missing out! The lunch sandwiches are served on a house made ciabatta style bread. Packed with fresh meats, cheeses and veggies. Every ingredient is perfectly seasoned and added delicately, not just items slapped on a roll. The Detroit pizza is what initially drew me in. While they have some options with more toppings, I'd say go for some of the more simple Detroit pies to really allow the famous crust to really shine through. My personal favorite so far is the white pie they do with roasted portobello mushrooms. I have only been for breakfast and lunch but with all the craft beer options I need to go back for dinner to sit and relax with some friends and family!
