Thank you, Genesis Pro, for freshening up my sad hardwood and laminate floors! Had a couple of senior dogs have accidents in the house. The dog parent wasn't the best in cleaning up, would leave pee pads in place. It resulted in the hardwood floors staining and reeking of urine. Another room with laminate did not seem to suffer the same fate, but it had some odor. I wasn't sure if it could be done, but I hoped to find someone to get rid of the smells! Request for quotes sent on Yelp. Antonio from Genesis Pro replied that they could help. Quote included urine treatment. His tech came out, went over the floors twice, even got down to the floor to do a sniff test. One week out, I'm happy to report the floors do not stink! read more

I called Genesis Carpet Care to see if they could clean the carpet in my studio unit. It's small and we don't have A/C so the door and the windows are open all the time. We also have a fairly large dog that sheds white fur in massive quantities. Due to the small space, we had a majorly matted high-traffic area that needed serious attention. Upon reaching out to Genesis, the owner Antonio responded right away and got me on to the schedule quickly with no hassle. Due to the difficulty of the job, Antonio came out personally with one of their largest machines, used a strong cleaner, and did two passes to ensure all the dirt debris, and dog hair were totally removed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I bought the Groupon for 5 rooms of carpet cleaning up to 200 square feet each for $49 - too good to be true? Yes. Do not buy the Groupon!!! He showed up and said it would cost extra because of the stains, he sat down on my couch and put together a new price. I was willing to pay extra, and add on the stairways. He said it would be an ADDITIONAL $875!!!!! You read that correctly. They went from $49 to $875. I wanted him out of my house immediately, he continued to try and upsell me and convince me my health was at risk if I didn't have the carpet cleaned by him. I felt very threatened and scared. It was so shady. So he leaves, calls me, says he talked to the owner and they can do it for an additional $650. You cannot trust these people. They said they would refund my Groupon, and they never did. I also bought the Groupon for the dryer vent cleaning and they never showed. And I definitely don't want them in my house again. Great service! So I just moved into a bedroom. It's a great location but there was a strong odor of pet dander. It's not smell of dirty animals and is not of pet urine. What happens is dogs have oils and dander released from them and if not regularly vacuumed, those oils and dander collect in carpet and put off an unpleasant odor. When people get used to odor they don't realize it. I've had dogs for most of my life and have experienced this on one occasion with my own pets. It only took once and it never happened again after having a carpet cleaning service come in and take care of it. So when I noticed the odor here I asked landlord if I could get carpets cleaned they said yes. I called on Genesis Carpet Care as their reviews were really good. I'm glad I called them, they came same day and the service was great. John is who came and did the carpets. He did an amazing job. And the cost was better than renting a machine to do myself. Misleading at best, lying at worst. We bought the service for 3 rooms and when they showed up they announced SURPRISE - they are DOUBLING the price. Sucks because we built our week around this - because we had to move all the furniture off the carpets etc. I would NEVER use these people again - ESPECIALLY when the owner called my daughter to tell her SHE was wrong and the extra fees were clearly stated -so we went back and checked and NO they simply indicated extra fees could apply for being on the 2nd floor or for deep cleaning etc. Makes me feel like this whole thing is a scam, bait and switch, upsell, upsell, upsell, had we known the true cost from the beginning we never would have gone with such a disreputable firm. First off we were given a quote for a deep clean of our carpets of $165 for 3 rooms, stairs and hallway. When they showed up and assessed the job all of the sudden it was $80 more. It's been 10 days since they "cleaned" and it looks like all they did was vacuum. They did not get a single stain out of the carpet. The company I used the previous 2 times made the carpet look like new. Not sure what process they use here, but it isn't nearly as effective as Aqua Cleanse (the company I used previously). John came on time and did an assessment not only for the duct vents that we hired Genesis Pro through Groupon, but recommended we also clean the rest of our HVAC system so that the dirt from the return air box & furnace doesn't dirty the vents immediately after cleaning. Since the return air box & the furnace have not been cleaned for decades and full of dust, we hired them to do both as well. We also purchased Groupon to clean our dryer vent but when John discovered that there is a big tear in our dryer vent duct, he recommended that we instead replacing the vent duct rather than cleaning it. Antonio was very helpful to accommodate the refund. Throughout the 3-4 hours of cleaning John was very courteous, taking care not to let dirt fall on tile / carpet, and was very thorough on his cleaning. He answered all our questions, explained every step of the process, helped us to find the right filter, showed us to replace the filter, gave us instruction on how to re-light the pilot light after cleaning the furnace, until we are left satisfied that not only the cleaning is done to perfection, but making sure that the HVAC system continues to work as before, BUT BETTER. I wanted to leave a review for staff member, Abel. I had him come out for a dryer vent cleaning, as my dry time had recently tripped in duration, and I was concerned that a build up of lint could cause a fire. Friendly booking, and once at my house, he went above and beyond to help me, and provided fantastic customer service, and was knowledgeable. He showed me that my tubing had been crushed at the connection to the wall, and was no longer hooked up properly, and wasn't effective at blowing the hot air from the machine to the outside of the home. No wonder it was taking so long to dry! And not only did he tell me what replacement part I would need, but he never tried to upsell me (which I'm always leery of when booking), and offered to even install it for me, if my husband could grab the part. Since he couldn't make it back in time, Abel repaired my crushed venting tube, and secured it back into place, as a stable temporary fix! He also showed me how to care for the lint build up in the future, and how to properly clean for maintenance. I have never called a company for a lint dryer clean out before, yet next time I'm in need, I'll be coming back. Abel worked hard, and was friendly and respectful. Definitely recommend him.
