The brisket is the star of the show: juicy, perfectly prepared, and packed with mouth‑watering flavor that makes your eyes roll back. The green beans are so good they'll make you want to kick the chair out from under your favorite cousin. Our server Brooklyn was polite, patient, and made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. She's a front‑facing star -- let her shine. I love this place. Is this up there with the great bbq places in the state? No. It's not trying to be. Hint hint daynes. Its a cafeteria style, you pick your meal, you go down the line, pick you sides and sauces..and your done. We had the three meat plate, and brisket sandwich plate. The meats on the plate were brisket, jalapeño sausage, and turkey. The sides on both plates were spicy pinto beans, Mac, and green beans. We had regular and spicy bbq. All the meats were good to great. The brisket was good, but missing that bark we like. The turkey was not dry. The best thing here, is when they say spicy, they mean spicy. Like runny nose spicy. Man it was good. The spicy bbq sauce was especially great. So just be careful because the beans were bordering on too spicy. The sausage was what daynes wished it could be. I know I keep ragging on daynes, but come here first, then go there and tell me if daynes belongs on any top list! I would pick still smoking any day! The Mac was delicious. The green beans were out of this world. Why not a 5? Well let's be honest, once you tried the true best in the state, it's hard to live up to it! As great as this place is, it's not snows or franklins or burnt bean epic. We still will definitely stop by when travel again!

I had the opportunity to visit this food truck and ordered a combo meal that included 1 catfish…read morefillet, 3 wings, fries, coleslaw, and pickles. I was genuinely hoping to have a great experience and leave a positive review, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The chicken wings were overcooked, dry, tough, and lacked seasoning. The catfish appeared to be poor quality, with a fishy taste and more fatty pieces than actual fish. The fries were dry, overcooked, and not served hot. The coleslaw looked watery and mushy, so I chose not to eat it. Even the slice of bread included with the meal was hard and stale. I also tried the egg rolls, but for the price, I did not feel they were worth it and found them lacking in flavor. Overall, the food seemed overly greasy, and the grease itself tasted old, which affected the taste of everything. Considering the quality of the food, I do not feel the meal was worth the $40 price tag. I always try to support Black-owned businesses and truly wanted to enjoy this experience, but based on the food and value received, I would not return. I hope this feedback is taken as constructive criticism and used to improve the overall quality and consistency of the food.

And while the other one is great and fabulous, this one is one star better. A huge selection of baked goods, coffee, decor, clothing, drinks and more. The Kissing Pig Cafe has so many food options, too! Mrs. K. has not had a kolache in years and she's now pescatarian which presents certain challenges. It would be awesome if they had some kolaches with just cheese or were sweet, so while I had one with ham and cheese and one with sausage in cheese, she was at least able to enjoy a strawberry and cream danish as well as the always awesome poppyseed kolache. It's possible that a pecan square was purchased for later consumption, too. The self-serve coffee was great and we enjoyed all of this inside at a comfortable table. And after that, more shopping. So much great stuff to choose from here and very, very clean restrooms. If you're overwhelmed by that massive baked goods counter, just ask for recommendations. They'll get you sorted for sure!
