In the last year at this place has done some work. I've started to see actual flavor in the food and wayyyy better service from staff. Thank you for changing your menu a bit and giving me more to choose from. Will be back. Good thing I gave this place a second try bc I'm obsessed!! read more

It's fine, typical small town Chinese. The service was good, the lady at the drive through was very friendly and polite. I got the shrimp kung pow, it was ok, maybe I'm just not a kung pow fan? I also got the cream cheese fried wontons. They were a bit over fried. I'd probably go back, but I'll try a different menu item. If someone asked for recommendations on where to eat in Hillsboro, this wouldn't be on my list, but if you're craving Chinese it'll get the job done. Update: the Kung Pow (as well as the rice it comes with) is SO saturated in soy sauce it's almost too salty to eat. I made some steamed plain rice at home to mix into it, that helped. read more

We've always loved this place, the food is always fresh and hot, super great tasting and the portions are very generous. The people have always been friendly also. Why on earth would we want Chinese from any place else?? read more

Food: House Fried Rice- packed with chicken, beef, and shrimp, but overall, a tad bland so use shoyu. Beef Fried Rice- packed with beef pieces, but overall, a tad bland so use shoyu. Sesame Chicken Special- comes with an egg roll and a drink. Sesame chicken was crunchy and the sauce was good. Wonton Soup- probably the worst dish from my order. Soup was pretty water, 2 small M&M candy sized meatballs wrap with a large amount of wonton wrap. Service: Staff are super friendly and fast. Other: Large parking lot. Lots of tables to dine at. The Mens Restroom was super gross. Probably cleaner outside. read more

We had cashew chicken, beef lo mein, and pepper steak. It was all freshly made and delicious. We also had Egg rolls...we all decided they were the best we ever had. Currently they only have drive thru open. I called our order in and it was ready in 10 minutes Great job! read more

Decent Chinese food. I've tried their orange and sesame chicken. The chicken is crunchy like it's battered in tempura. I prefer it to be soggy the next day. The rice can be a little dry/bland. The prices are reasonable with large portions. Fast food & service. read more

Wok Express - Combo- sesame chicken, rice, egg roll and soda for $11. - Chinese Near Me - Hillsboro, Texas

Good fast food in Hillsboro. Have only ordered thru the drive thru so I am not sure about the ambiance inside. The service has been good as well. read more

Pretty good food, good portion size had sesame chicken pepper, steak, and lo mein all were very good lo mein noodles kind of felt like spaghetti noodles, but it was still good chicken and beef in the dishes was a good amount much better than my local favorite Chinese restaurant I go to at home these dishes for me or actually a couple dollars cheaper than what I used to pay so that was a plus also for me when visiting the area will definitely be back read more

Nasty food. I ordered vegetables in my general tsos chicken and the lady said no it comes on the side as an extra. Also Who puts the cold sauce on the side? It wasn't good at all and it's expensive. The lady isn't the nicest. read more

It's ok. I think this town is used to the old Chinese food place that we all knew and loved. It's a standard fast food place. It'll do

Consistent quality , large portions and quick service. We only use the drive through as its close to home, and enjoy the garlic chicken, fried wontons, and beef and broccoli. read more

Really enjoyed the Chinese food from here. Called to order takeout and the young man that answered the phone was upbeat, professional, and repeated my order with efficiency. I got to the location and was thrilled to find out I could pick my order through the drive up window. While processing the payment the young man engaged in friendly banter and was quick with the transaction. My husband and I both really liked the hot and sour soup and will definitely order it again! He had the orange chicken and I had the sweet and sour chicken, both of which were very good. The chicken was moist and the fry on it was excellent - not tough like some Chinese chicken can be. The regular size serving was a good portion and neither of us came away from our meal feeling unfulfilled. Overall we will definitely visit here again! read more

Who knew Hillsboro, Texas is home of one of the best Chinese Restaurants around. With a birthday dinner gone awry, my sister and I pulled up to the drive through at Wok Express. We needed to feed 10 people for Nana's birthday dinner. When we asked the best way to order for 10 people, a party tray was suggested. For a $110 dollars we fed 10 people and everyone took home left overs. The sweet and sour chicken was excellent. It wasn't soggy and had a great flavor. We also had the broccoli steak. The vegetables included were fresh and the steak was tender. They gave us a ton of sauce and Nana will have enough fortunate cookies to last her until her next birthday. The person who took our order was very helpful and patient as we tried to figure out what to order. He even brought the order and placed it in the back of the car. If you are driving up 35 or in the area, make a stop at Wok Express. You'll be glad you did. read more

I came down to Hillsboro because it's the halfway point to me getting my nephew. First time being here and I got absolutely ravenous so I looked up restaurants and found this place. Saw the reviews but still had some doubts. I ordered the cream cheese rangoons and the broccoli beef. The guy took my order and was really nice about it. I paid and received my food. Man oh man is this so yummy. Both items I got were cookies to perfection just beware when it says plain fried rice they mean plain! No veggies or meat in the fried rice that comes with the plate but it's definitely fresh. Definitely worth the $14 I spent and ever time I have to get my nephew I'll be eating here for sure! read more

This place is amazing! I have not had a dish yet that I didn't love! I drive all the way here from waco because it's just that good! My absolute favorite item on their menu is the hot and sour soup! I cannot come here without ordering it! It has such good flavor. You can tell that everyone involved with this business really cares about the product they put out. So delicious!! read more

This is a great place to eat if you enjoy Chinese food. The food is great at a fair price. The staff is nice and I have never had an error in my order. It is only drive thru but it is well worth the short wait. There are usually several cars in line but it moves very quickly and food always looks freshly prepared. Hopefully they will open the dining room sometime in the future.Sweet and Sour Shrimp is my favorite read more

Very clean restaurant with nice staff. The food was a good value, I got a lot of food for a cheap price. But the quality was a bit subpar for typical hole in the wall Chinese. I ordered Mongolian Beef. The sauce tasted like it was out of a jar and there was a TON of it, probably to disguise what I think might be the lowest quality beef I've ever eaten. The texture of the beef was like eating mushrooms and it didn't have much flavor. The vegetables were decent quality. I can see myself revisiting and trying a different dish. Not a terrible place to stop at if you're driving through town. It's cheap, fast, and will definitely fill you up. I'll get chicken next time. read more

Drive-through only currently. Quick, clean, efficient, order correct, flavorful, temperate-wise *hot* food! Four cars ahead of me, ordered & picked up in about 5 - 10 min., max! Drove home 30 min. & ate w/ spouse. Food still very hot temperature-wise! Nice light (not overly corn starched) sauces on Spicy Chicken & Garlic Beef (freshly made). Regular fried rice included -- beautifully cooked. Egg rolls good. Dumplings. All orders checked before the staff person bagged the containers for me. Quick checkout. Prices very reasonable. Great for a quick pick up for Chinese take out. And fortune cookies/cutlery/napkins/sauces/itemized receipt. read more

The chicken lo mein was unexpectedly good! From the looks of the place on the outside, you wouldn't expect such a HUGE flavor from the inside! I like my food spicy, being that I'm from Louisiana. So I'd say kick it up a notch and get your lo mein spiced up. read more

Sorry but NOT tasty at all. Food was hot but no flavor and the beef broccoli meat was chewy (too fatty). The orange chicken was no better either. Rice did not taste good either. I was very disappointed :( read more

Friendly staff not many choices of food in Hillsboro didn't expect to find much out here but I'd say this a hidden gem to this city. The food is made to order comes out piping hot. They also have authentic Chinese dishes from different providences. The portions are huge! Prices are very reasonable. It even has a drive thru. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Pleasant clean environment. I will definitely be back. Thanks wok express for a great experience. Best Chinese food in town, always made fresh and hot. Try the egg drop soup it is the best I've had.

The food at Wok Express MIGHT be great. However, because of Wok's abysmal service, I wouldn't know how great or horrible their food is. My family and I waited in line for 10+ minutes waiting for our food, but because their service was so ridiculously wretched, we drove off to Sonic instead. Their lady on the drive-thru also waited 2 minutes before answering as well. Terrible service, incompetent employees, and a speed so slow that Kylie Jenner could have had 3 lip injections in that time. I wish I could choose an options for negative stars. read more
