This was our first time trying this place, just moved to Cleburne. Food was delish. We tried several things: Crag Rangoons, Egg Rolls, Fried Wontons, Wonton Egg Drop Soup, Hot and Sour Soup, Veggie Mei Fun, Roast Pork Egg Foo Young, General Tso's Chkn, and Szechuan Chkn. We walked in to order the large chicken & broccoli, small chicken fried rice, and fried dumplings. Food was made on the spot and ready in about 10 minutes. We took it home and it tasted amazing, hot and fresh, fried dumplings had great texture and delicious sauce. read more

Since moving to Cleburne this place has been the go to quick dinner , really good food

When in Cleburne I usually order takeout from First Wok and have not been disappointed in the last year.The food is always fresh and hot. They do have a small dining area but I always order food to go. The orders are always correct and packaged with plastic ware for eating back at my hotel. They only take cash which can be inconvenient at times but if you plan ahead this restaurant is very consistent with the quality of their food. I recommend this local family restaurant. read more

I ate here today and asked to use rest room and the lady point to the back . As I was walking back there I was walking past food sitting on floor in big containers not covered up . I thought oh well maybe moving things around but nope they leave it setting there to use as cooking . Then as I'm eating the guy cooking started hacking up flem and spit from what I could see right by the food on floor if not in it. I couldn't eat the rest of my food from that point on and chunked it in trash . Oh also the ac isn't working so you know the food sitting out is spoiling . I could ring my clothes out it was so hot . I do not know why this place has not been shut down . It's dirty and the restrooms are right there by where they are cooking . Tried First Wok for the first time. It almost brought a tear to my eyes! It's the best Chinese food I've had since arriving in Texas! Tried the Chicken Mei Fun and the Fried Shrimp. Both were delicious! The meat and veggies were finely chopped and the sauce flavor was perfect. The shrimp were crispy and fresh. We will definitely go back. read more

First off, this spot is very safe during Covid. THEY DO NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS. Only cash. The back is literally totally sealed off from the dining area, which is no longer used. Plexiglass cover from desk to ceiling. Plexiglass boxes with doors on each end to pay and receive your food. You have to close the cash door before they will open their's. The Wonton soup had zero flavor and the wontons were super mushy and flavorless. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was just ok. The pork fried rice did not appear to have any pork in it and many pieces of rice were very hard. Maybe other things are better. read more

For Chinese food, they are the best in Cleburne. The store front is very minimalist, with five table tops, an ordering counter and the rest of the space taken by the kitchen, which you can clearly see all the way to the back. I like the atmosphere, it gives it some authenticity. I also like being able to watch them cook the food while I wait. The food comes out quickly, and the portions are somewhat large. They only serve the food from disposable styrofoam fold-over containers or cups, with plastic forks, and spoons for the soups. I would imagine that makes for easier take-out when your full and want to take the rest to go. read more

Great food and service. Someone complained about no AC, AC would be useless, they have an open kitchen, the AC would never be able to keep up with the heat from all the cooking. I had the General Tso's Chicken, the best I have ever had. The pork rice was fantastic. The egg roll could not have been better. This meal was worth every penny and more. Stopped here on my way to get a $5 hot-n-ready pizza next door and changed my mind. Kind of wish I hadn't. The selection is decent but nothing I wouldn't find at any other Americanized Chinese restaurant. Ordered the two staples that I get from any restaurant like this: General Tso Chicken and a side order of Crab Ragoon. Both were not that great; the chicken was fairly bland and the ragoon had little filling or flavor. Actually, it reminds me more of the quality you would find at a cheap buffet. "Best in Cleburne"? That might be, but are there any others? I will put it at 3 stars because at least it is cheap, but do yourself a favor and spring a couple extra dollars for something better or plate up a buffet and get the same thing you will get here with more variety. Most disappointing part was the staff had a table set for themselves with traditional food that looked way better than anything available in the menu. Pros: Great Chinese dishes, made while you wait. I'd suggest calling ahead of time, but be sure to confirm exactly what you want, as their English is broken but they have never got my order wrong.
