The Monster Tower is my favorite
Noah V.

We've been coming here since 2018 and it's still one of our favorite places to eat. The service and food never disappoint.

Ramen!!!

Okay Asaka! We see you, bringing ramen to Cleburne and killing it. Already a favorite spot for my family, but this is gonna be bringing us back more often for sure.

The food at this place was gross! We ordered sushi and my daughter had the chicken teriyaki. There was some really off paste they tried to pass off as tuna. My daughter's chicken had some sort of bones in it. The server was nice and attentive. That's about all that was good.

Hibachi shrimp and scallops

I decided to give Asaka a try for my birthday dinner with family after reading the good reviews. It was very disappointing and wish we would have traveled to DFW for a real hibachi experience. The hibachi did have a nice appearance but definitely the most bland I have ever eaten. I had to add a lot of soy sauce to make it edible. Several of my children ordered udon noodles and they were very bland as well. The fried rice tasted rancid and did not seem to be cooked fresh. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice but the waitress was very unprofessional, not friendly and poor service. My husband has a shellfish allergy and I was asking her a question regarding something on his plate and she was very rude about it. Overpriced for the quality of food received. We will not be returning and do no recommend.

FISH ALLERGY ALERT!!! Although the menu lists "Crab or Crabmeat" on certain items, IT IS KRAB meat, which is an imitation crab meat that is made with various types of FISH.....and to a person with fish allergies, that misrepresentation could have deadly consequences. My Rainbow Roll was warm when served, the sushi rice had a mealy texture and the salmon, white fish and tuna were far from fresh. Miso soup is usually a good litmus test for a sushi restaurant, so we should have known to leave after the soup was served. It was obviously made from a powdered concentrate and was just terrible. Not only did the "manager on duty" refuse to take the Rainbow Roll off of our bill, she was going to have the server pay for it out of her pocket if we refused to pay! A TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE and a RED FLAG FOR ALL CUSTOMERS CONSIDERING EATING THERE. The actual owners/manager was called and they acquiesced to removing the charge from our bill and not forcing the server to pay. Our server however was wonderful. She was very kind and understanding and the "manager on duty" should take a play from her book.

Filet Migon, Shrimp & veggies. They were glad to sub more veggies instead of rice.

Cleburne desperately needs some good places to eat that aren't chain restaurants! We've been here twice, the first time we came it was great! Outstanding service and fantastic food. Second time, not so much! Our waitress was horrible, most of the time she was MIA. She brought our salad and soup AFTER she brought our meals only because we said something. We ordered the filet mignon, one of ours was rare, no it was blue rare. After waiving down a different waitress, the manager came over and offered to remake the steak and threw in a fried ice cream. I have to say after the service then the raw steak, the ice cream didn't really matter at that point. Cleburne is a tough crowd, if they don't get it together they'll be another one of the several places to close here. It's sad because this place can be so good.

Very good sushi but I could've made a meal off the appetizers alone. Their sushi is very fresh & not a fishy smell at all.

Sushi is great but it's pretty pricey. It's always been a weird vibe when I've been in here... understaffed and cold

Had the Ahi Tuna Tower, Dynamite and Rainbow Dragon along with soup and salad. All the rolls are very good and of good size. We were stuffed but very pleased when we left. This place has Hibachi too which was excellent last time we had it. Would recommend this place if looking for a good place for sushi.

When I got home, there were no eggs at all in either order, not even the standard amount that's supposed to come with it. I even took photos, and you can clearly see there are no eggs in the rice. I called the next day to explain the issue. Instead of trying to understand or resolve it, the person I spoke with kept arguing with me and focusing on the extra eggs and saying they couldn't add those because I hadn't paid for them online, which is fine. Some places just adjust the amount but they clearly don't. That's not the main issue though. I clarified multiple times that even without the extra eggs, the dish is still supposed to include egg by default and mine DID NOT. He insisted that the chefs made it with eggs and said he believed them over me, which was frustrating as a customer. I was basically told to bring the rice back from the night before and they would remake it. Overall, very disappointing experience. The food was incorrect, and the customer service made it worse.

Instead, one came sickeningly sweet with an unlisted cinnamon syrup, and the other still had a strong cinnamon taste. When we questioned this, the server casually mentioned the cinnamon syrup--something not disclosed on the menu. I had to specifically ask her to take one back rather than her responding promptly. Next, they brought our sushi rolls, but no plates, no soy sauce, and not even dishes for dipping. We had to ask for all those basics. I specifically chose two rolls without cream cheese--because I don't want cream cheese in my sushi--and yet one still had it. The server's response was to chat with a manager but not to offer any solution, compensation, or correction. Overall, if a menu lists certain ingredients, that's what should arrive. Adding things like cinnamon in a drink or cream cheese in a roll--especially when people might have dietary needs--is careless. They need to be more attentive to both the menu and the customer's feedback.

We had the eel-matic-roll, fusion roll, California, and Mike Miyagi roll. For starters we had the spicy edamame. The edamame didn't really taste as great as we wanted it to, not really spicy, and kinda greasy. We'd come back to try other dishes.

Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar is a Japanese hand roll restaurant that focuses on fresh seafood,…read moremade-to-order sushi, and a more interactive dining experience. We walked into a space centered around sitting at the bar and watching the chefs prepare each hand roll in front of us, which gave the meal a more personal feel compared to a traditional sushi restaurant. The setup is smaller and more intimate, making the experience feel closer to a sushi bar rather than a casual meal spot. The biggest highlight is the quality of the fish and the hand rolls themselves. The seafood tastes fresh, clean, and carefully prepared, with options like salmon belly, otoro, kanpachi, and crab hand rolls standing out. We ordered a few different rolls and found each one well executed, with the fish having a clean, bright flavor that did not rely on heavy sauces or toppings. Each roll is made individually, so the nori stays crisp and the textures come through better than pre-made sushi. The menu has a good balance of classic choices and more creative combinations, making it easy to try different flavors throughout the meal. The chef interaction adds another layer to the visit. Since everything is prepared right in front of you, we could see the attention put into each piece, from assembling the ingredients to serving it at the right moment. The chefs were precise in their movements and took the time to explain the different fish and flavor profiles, which made the meal feel more like an experience rather than just ordering sushi off a menu. One thing to plan for is the wait. Hatsuyuki does not take reservations, and the popularity means there can be a significant line during busy hours. We arrived earlier and found it helped us avoid a longer wait. Seating is limited, but that also helps maintain the quality and atmosphere of the restaurant. The intimate size of the bar means the service stays focused and the pacing remains personal, even when the restaurant is full. Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar is one of the stronger sushi experiences in the area for anyone who enjoys fresh seafood and a more curated dining style. The wait can be a downside, but the quality of the fish, chef preparation, and overall atmosphere make it worth visiting, especially if you are looking for something beyond standard sushi rolls. The focus on craftsmanship and the personal interaction with the chefs elevate the meal into something more memorable than a typical sushi stop.

We ended up waiting about an hour and a half, even though we noticed other people arriving after us and getting seated right away while we were still waiting. That felt pretty uncalled for, especially since other guests who arrived after us were seated first, and a few other couples agreed. That being said, the sushi was delicious, and the service was very attentive and friendly. I just wish the seating process had been handled better.

The sushi is consistently fresh and delicious they have an excellent variety of both creative rolls and high-quality sashimi. The staff is genuinely helpful, happy to make recommendations if you're unsure what to order, and they make you feel welcome whether you're stopping in solo, as a couple at the sushi bar, or with the whole family. We love sitting at the hibachi tables when the kids and grandkids join us everyone has a great time. If you're in Granbury and craving sushi (or hibachi), Miyako is the place to go. The prices are a bit high compared to a big city with lots of competition but not having to drive 50 miles to a big city helps offset the cost. I was with 3 other people, 2 of the others were taking out the other one and said they would pay for their meal because it was their birthday but weren't going to pay for mine because they said I eat too much at sushi places :-) That's okay because I always feel like I should order the cheapest stuff if someone else is paying for it. I didn't have to worry about how much it cost and I wasn't looking at the prices. Everything all of us had was great. I only had sushi but others did have other things as well. My sushi was all fresh tasting. This was lunch time on a Wednesday. Turns out the tab for the other 3 people was 65.25 and mine was 65.26 so guess they were right!
