I am partial to Hard 8 and really enjoy their BBQ. Well I think Terry Blacks may edge them out. I went with Pork Ribs and a Brisket sandwich to get a variety and had the green beans with coleslaw for sides. I'll start with the sides. They really paid great attention to the sides. The green beans were some of the best I've had. They were cooked perfectly with onions and what seemed like a hint of vinegar was soo good. The coleslaw was not far behind. It had a blend of sweet and acid that was good on its own but went even better on the brisket sandwich. Now for the Q. The brisket was amazing and they slice it to how you want it, chopped/sliced/lean or a little fat. It was so moist with the perfect amount of smoke. As good as the brisket was the ribs were the star. They were fall off the bone tender, great smoke and seasoning. BBQ sauce is available to your taste, it is good enuf to skip the sauce. Excellent BBQ. We got there about 15 mins after opening and it seemed very disorganized- drinks were not cold in cooler, bathrooms dirty, staff seemed meh. The young girl serving sides was extremely friendly and I asked a lot of questions- my only side that I was disappointed in was the corn- it needed to be cold or warm not room temp. It was interesting and I can't decide if I like it or not. The girls at the meat counter were friendly enough one was very nice the other seemed annoyed. The meat options are decent but pricey (expected with bbq). My main issue is none of the bbq had Smokey flavor. While it was cooked good it didn't have that bbq Smokey flavor I was looking for.
