Last week I was visiting a friend who is very ill. She needed to change the settings on her security system to link with her cell phone. General Security sent Jim, the installer, who was one of the nicest gentlemen we have ever met. He explained the contract my friend was given to sign and included in that was a large $500 fee in case she couldn't meet the terms of the 3 year contract. She called the office, spoke to Brian, and told him, after he explained the charge, that she was a terminal cancer patient with about one month left to live. So he offered to revise the contract and then only charge her $200 or more for a year. Not a word of sympathy or understanding.
I don't know how a good a security company General is, but they should rethink their customer service and policies, especially in instances such as these. There are lots of other security companies out there, and if you are looking, I would look for one that shows they care about their customers and shows some compassion in dealing with them. It seems it is not the case with this company. read more
