Great decor and fun vibes! Staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. Good stop for something chill & local.

Casual restaurant with a great vibe and hopping bar scene. They serve bar food but it's very good nonetheless. I had a yummy strawberry coconut cocktail at the bar while waiting for our table to be ready. The fried Maine Clam served with a side of French fried & coleslaw was very tasty. This restaurant is very popular so reservations are a must on the weekends. read more

Great environment & great food. I got the lobster soup & the mussels and they were to die for. The inside is so cool. Would absolutely come here again. read more

Let me start by saying you need to try Geddy's regardless if you can eat non-gluten-free or must eat gluten-free. This place is great by any measure! We arrived Bar Harbor and began scoping out eateries with gluten-free menus. After finding great reviews on both Yelp and Find Me GF, we decided to try Geddy's. We walked to Geddy's from our rental (The Green Door Cottage), which was a good thing because parking in the commercial area of Bar Harbor was congested on this Saturday evening. After a short wait, we were seated and ordered the Cadillac (top shelf) Margaritas. They were excellent. In looking at the menu, we were somewhat confused because GF was not annotated. But in talking to Mike, our excellent server, we learned most everything (except the desserts excluding vanilla ice cream) could be obtained GF. We ordered a grilled haddock dinner with rice and veggies, and a lobster roll (hot and lightly buttered) with sweet potato fries and house made cranberry ketchup. The haddock was perfect ... mild and flaky and done perfectly with a light lemon butter sauce. The lobster roll was very tasty and the sweet potato fries were heavenly ... crispy outside and soft and creamy inside. And the cranberry ketchup with just a little heat from red chilis was outstanding. I would have given 5 stars if there had been some GF dessert choices besides ice cream (which unfortunately is off limits due to lactose intolerance.) Mike was fantastic. The food was outstanding. We will be back and you should too! read more

Amazing food, great location. I had the small combo meal to include the lobster roll, cup of chowder and blueberry tart- everything was absolutely delicious. My husbands favorite meal of the trip were the fish and chips he got here. Highly recommended! Hoping we make it back before we head home read more

Amazing gluten free options. I haven't had fried calamari is 6 years due to being gf - so nice they offered it. They had so many gluten free options. My family enjoyed all their meals too! read more

Had a great time . Food was delicious. Blueberry pie was amazing. Chowder and the lobster was really good too. We would go back

Went to this place for my birthday after spending the day hiking in Acadia. They were very accommodating with seating us right away. They squeezed us in before a reservation and it worked out perfectly because we sat on their cute patio in the front with views of the harbor and the street. The food was amazing and our waiter was very attentive and nice to speak with. The vide in the restaurant seems fancy but it's pretty laid back! We were in hiking clothes and another tables was on a bar crawl and had onesies and fun hats on read more

Got the Lobster special and some Wings. The Lobster was small, but the wings were excellent. My girlfriend got the fish and chips, and they were tasty. A good choice for Seafood/Pub Food in Bar Harbor! read more

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Our waitress was excellent. Drinks were fantastic - wait til you see the size of the glasses. And the food was excellent. As a lobster novice, they were very helpful. Highly recommend. A must visit for a trip to Bar Harbor. read more

They lobster sandwiches wit the corn taste like straight butt ain't no way y'all got them turd meat from the sea.

Sara was our waitress and she was PHENOMENAL! Very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable with the food that was available for gluten free individuals (which turned out to be most of the menu!)! Definitely, would recommend going here! We will most assuredly come back again and you should definitely make this a go-to must on ANY trip to Bar Harbor! read more

FUN place with LOTS of options! I got the lunch special to have a sampling and my husband got a pizza. The roll was great as well as the chowder and little sweet blueberry treat. My husband's pizza had a great crust and delicious sauce and ricotta cheese to top it, so creamy and delicious! The decor of the place was also really fun making it an overall enjoyable experience. read more

Geddy's - Lunch Special: 1/2 lobster roll, cup of clam chowder, and a blueberry tart - Seafood Near Me - Bar Harbor, Maine

Hello... Im a tourist that came off a boat, US1 or off Cadillac Mountain... where should I eat? Main Street is chock full of places to empty your wallet and raise the payment due on your credit card with shopping and eating. For us, we popped into Geddy's just before the early bird special and rouge showers began to pass. As others have mentioned, the atmosphere is full of things to talk about and reference while you wait for your food, which for us was not terribly long. The lobster special was well priced, prepared and tasted good. The blueberry pie and blueberry beer.. even better! Plentiful drink specials and friendly staff made this a good choice for an early dinner before heading back to Bangor. I can see where this place can become terribly croweded and in the process bring down the ratings from both tourists and locals alike, but it is a good choice when your enjoying a day of leisure in Bar Harbor. I will be back! read more

Service was okay and the atmosphere was nice. Well-decorated. We had a pleasant ocean view from our window seat. The clam chowder was quite good, but the mussel's were bland and pricey for a very small portion. The nachos were pretty good, but let me warn you, it's a HUGE portion. They're served on a re-purposed hubcap and they use Tostito's salsa, which is a huge turnoff. My friend paid $33(!) for a personal pizza. It was $5 for lobster topping and $4 for tomato slices... what?! Each topping costs you at minimum $1 extra. Granted, he should have read the topping prices, no question about this, but how a personal pizza could even POSSIBLY cost that much is just absurd to me. P.S. what is with the bathroom names? Good luck figuring out which is which without asking or seeing someone previously enter. I'd come back for a few drinks and maybe some fries. But I wouldn't eat a meal here again. read more

This is the sort of place I really want to love, but I found it average at best. The staff was friendly and helpful on this first visit for this Bar Harbor regular. I was traveling with my mom, and decided Galyn's was too substantial and expensive, decided to go more casual with the place next door. Decor is clever and colorful, with a lot of interesting stuff hanging from the ceiling. The narrow dining room is cozy, and the bar up front is multi-sided. Looks like a good place to hit Happy Hour. We were there for dinner, and it was okay, but unmemorable to below average. Clam chowder was good, but not the best. Lobster "lazy way" tasted and looked like it had been picked a couple of hours earlier, not just after cooking a live lobster for my order. The corn and blueberry pie that rounded out the "lobster bake" were dismal. The corn had definitely been cooked some time ago (kind of tough, not warm), and the crust of the blueberry pie was doughy and undercooked as if it were the baker's "my first pie crust". The filling was excessively sweet also, lacking the citrus that is usually used to round out the sweet flavors of berry fillings. On the positive, our server was sweet and competent. At 6:30-7pm, both of the lighter Maine beers on tap were out (on a Tuesday night!). Odd, you'd think keeping local beers stocked up during the last burst of tourist season would be good business sense. Other, less-local beers were still available. I'll stop in again for HH sometime, but not recommended for dinner. read more

Stopped here on a cruise for a late lunch. Awesome place to get your famous Maine lobster. Great kids menu. We ordered fresh garlic mussels, the lobster bake dinner and 2 lb fresh lobster. Chicken tenders on the kids menu. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Lobster was tender and steamed just right with drawn butter. Clam chowder was authentic. Chicken fingers was fresh not frozen reheated. You get the free frisbee plate after. Best blueberry pie I've had. Kid friendly high chair washrooms decent. Lots of paper towels for the messed lobster and great place for little ones. It's a bar as well so there's also a good menu and selection of beers and drinks. Service was excellent attentive and friendly. Definetly recommend this place. read more

The service was great... fast. I ordered the lobster roll and clam chowder. The clam chowder was good.... Not fantastic but solidly good. The lobster roll was just ok... I was surprised to see corn and lettuce mixed in and I couldn't taste the lobster. read more

It's expensive to eat out in Bar Harbor. I ordered the lobster stew, fried clams, and a beer. The stew was too runny--basically cream with a few chunks of lobster. The clams were good. My lunch came out to $46, not including tip, which is a bit steep even in Bar Harbor for an average meal. read more

VERY busy - make sure to go by early to place yourself on the waitlist. The lobster was fine but the corn was very under done. On one side the kernels were cooked and on the other they were raw. Its more pricey than places outside of bar harbor, but not a bad choice if you're staying nearby. read more

Awesome service!! Get the fish tacos ! Make a reservation worth if!! Server could not have been more attentive- even when so busy! We will be back :) read more

This was the only restaurant in Bar Harbor that we received great service and great food. Everyone was super friendly and our food was amazing. All the other restaurants seemed to be struggling with finding pleasant help, but every single person at Geddy's was super friendly. read more

This restaurant was recommended by locals. My husband deemed it his favorite meal so far in Bar Harbor. The kids meals were large and the menu had a large variety of options. We ordered haddock and chips, cheese pizza, pizza with shrimp, pasta with shrimp and scallops. The service was friendly and quick. Indoor seating only, but covid precautions were taken. read more

We were in Bar Harbor for three days, and ate at Geddy's three times. While we ate at a couple of restaurants as well, Geddy's was our clear favorite. Every single thing we ate was incredible (fish/chips, pizza, lobster cobb salad, lobster stew, seafood pie), but the blueberry pie was the show stopper. It was SO GOOD. Geddy's also has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. I highly recommend! read more

Great service. Atw the typical fried food stuff. Haddock sandwich literally falls apart ("explodes") when you eat it. Be ready for a messy experience. read more

I'm taking away a star because they sat me at a bar height table and I had a baby, then the lady tried to stack 3 highs hairs to equal the height of the table. VERY UNSAFE. So I told her "No that's unsafe." She just looked at my crazy. The food was amazing, and our waitress was very attentive! Clam chowder and blueberry pie are a must try! read more

Our first night in Bar Harbor and seated quickly. The Lobster Bake and Seafood Pie were amazing....clam chowder had good taste, but woefully lacking in any clams. The kids Mac-n-cheese was good but pretty small (3-4oz?). Blueberry pie saved the day....oh and check out the tropical sangria!! read more

Geddy's - Calimari with spice chili sauce. - Seafood Near Me - Bar Harbor, Maine

We visited Geddy last week for lunch. We arrived early around 11:30am and got a large booth for 8 (4 adults & 4 kids) right away. When we were leaving it did get crowded. We had fried calamari, mussels with garlic sauce, fish and chips, seafood chowder and whole lobster meal. We liked everything so all was delicious. The service was fantastic. We would've visited this restaurant again but we didn't have time. read more

Friendly place. Food was good, but not outstanding. We enjoyed it here and would likely go back again sometime

Great food, great atmosphere (it's kind of noisy, and crowded, so if that bothers you you may not like it) Had the whole lobster, with chowder and blueberry pie. Very good. For a bonus they have a very cool gift shop in the basement. I highly recommend reservations if you can make them, as this is a very popular place and waits may be long if you just walk in. read more

Visited Bar Harbor many years ago and our first night back tried Geddys again after 10 years!! Started with a steamed lobster which was true to its weight and had the Fig prosciutto pizza which was AMAZING! We tried a few more restaurants throughout town and I can confidently say that Gettys had THE best lobster! read more

Had a sudden desire for blueberry pie (7:30pm). Stopped to just get take-out Blueberry-pie and ice-cream since all the bakeries close early. Pie came hot with frozen enough ice-cream it didn't melt by the time we walked to the park across the street to eat it. Definitely hit the the spot after eating a lack-luster meal at Havana just prior. read more

We had to wait for the bar because we were walk ins and all tables were reserved. Good sign. We stayed. Wonderful service (Bethany at the bar) was matched by solidly prepared food. The lobster roll was very good. The pizza was legit, coming from a New Yorker with snobby expectations. The seafood pie was unforgettable and worth the visit all on its own. Order that and you'll thank me. read more

Great atmosphere. It was jumping, but the staff was super helpful and we got seated much quicker than anticipated. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was incredible. He said he had been there for 9 years. Food was very good, wife had the GF lobster roll, and I had the Ahi Tuna Tacos. Excellent choice for us! read more

The fish and chips was bland, I didn't want to finish it. Fried shrimp was also bland. They both tasted completely unseasoned.

Update from June 25 2021. Always a "10". Went to Geddy's this past week 2x. Both times the servers were incredibly friendly and the food was fresh and great. Whole family enjoyed their unique meal. Kudos to Geddys. They deserve your business. They work for it and the interior environment is well done! read more
