The place was packed on Saturday night so we decided to get carry out. The price was decent. I highly recommend the Brussel spouts. It was really flavorful and crispy. However the seafood pie and lobster roll were mediocre. They both tasted pretty bland. read more

I liked the atmosphere and the decor. But the food was a disappointment. We were there on our honeymoon. They gave us a piece of pie free and that was very nice of them. But the pie was lackluster. Food was OK but not as good as their competitor right around the corner. Better places to eat in Bar Harbor! Service was friendly and efficient. But we made a reservation and still had to wait about a half an hour to be seated. I understand that due to COVID-19 the occupancy requirements were probably 50%. So this of course made it difficult for them to honor their reservations. All in all I would say it was overrated. read more

Geddy's - Great decor, just OK food. - Seafood Near Me - Bar Harbor, Maine

Lobster bisque was beyond fantastic! The pizza was excellent! The ahi poke was spectacular as well. Their service was pretty good too. My only recommendation is that the servers set your plate in front of you (as opposed to handing it off by reaching across in front of other guests). Other than that it was great food and smiling hospitality!! We will be back! read more

Wanted take-out pizza. My wife and I walked right up to the greeter and said 'we'd like to order a pizza to go.' He handed us a business card and said 'you have to order on-line.' We walked out, threw the card in the trash and walked up the street to Blaze Restaurant. A shame we can't review their food, but what ever happened to customer service? read more

After hearing lots of good things about Geddy's, we anticipated our meal/lunch. Since this is the first time in Maine, we looked forward to some good meals with lobster. We both decided on the Lobster Stew and were shocked when two bowls of 'soup' were delivered to our table. The soup was made with cream, watery and barely had any lobster in it. The lobster that was there was very small pieces of shredded meat, certainly not a stew; more like a thin chowder or soup. We were extremely disappointed and spent $20 per bowl. The restaurant ambience was fun and beachy, but not impressed with our meal. Would ask questions about your purchase before ordering. read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! So good! Quaint, cozy, and delicious! In the heart of bar harbor, you can see the ocean and the boats bobbing on the sea.

Nice spot by the waterfront. Good food, cheap, nice vibe. The ahi tuna tacos were pretty good. I also got a Sea Dog blueberry beer on draught, which came with blueberries in it. That was great as well. read more

This was the only place in the area that was open April 1st week. We hiked Jordan pond and up to eagle lake view point, and were starving. We were happy that this place was open, and was serving Vegiterian and fresh see food. There were Vegiterian options to choose from. It took 30 minutes for food to arrive, and food was ok(more of a bland side). My friend ordered lobster rolls that had very tiny lobster for a high price, and it was chewy than fresh. So, it wasn't a fresh catch as the waiter sold it to us ! read more

We ate here on our second to last night and it was the BEST lobster I had. I tried so many lobster rolls all over the island and the best lobster I had was in their SALAD!! The blueberry pie was to die for and I'm sad that I didn't have enough room for it and had to split it with my fiancé. read more

This was a very cute place. My husband and I stopped by for a late lunch and enjoy it so much. He got lobster and I ordered fish and chips. The portions were so big so you really got bang for your buck. We split a slice of blueberry pie but I would say you should get your own! Best blueberry pie I have ever had!! read more

Our family of eight spent the day hiking at Acadia and needed a gluten free option for our daughter. This place was amazing! It was packed but there were open seats at that bar. Customers were so friendly! They moved down to make room for our family. We had dinner at the bar! It was perfect. The staff was very nice and attentive to my daughter's food allergy. The food arrived quickly. The presentation was pure art. It was all hot and delicious. A few of us had the lobster roll. A couple of us had the Captain Geddy's Lobster dinner, which comes with a blueberry dessert! The Atlantic seafood pie was amazing! It gad a crab meat crust on top! The fish and chips were great as well as the salmon! The decor was colorful and fun! Would absolutely return! read more

Great location serving all the local fare. Service was outstanding and staff very pleasant. Have to visit if you are in the area. read more

This hot spot has an amazing gluten free menu. Everything but 3 items can be made gluten free and most is naturally GF. Hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had. The fish was cooked perfectly and the breading was just the right amount..enough to taste and enjoy but allows the fish to stand out. Also had the calamari and I couldn't get it in my belly fast enough. Wasn't traditional, little sweet and spicy, the dipping sauce was scrumptious. So many options here but how can you pass up fried food. The service is good but the place can be a little loud. Dinner time is always busy it looks like but the food still didn't take long to arrive. Will definitely be back when we visit again. read more

Dinner for two close to closing time. Staff was friendly and offered suggestions even though they were closing soon and probably ready to go home. We ordered the wood fire pizza (served advised they make their own dough) and the shrimp and scallop scampi. I had pizza and it was really good, my daughter had pasta and said scallops were cooked perfectly. Would eat this meal again! read more

We really love Gettys. The food was wonderful. We're from the main area and would highly recommend coming as somebody who's a local. Yes there are some tourist parts of it but the gluten-free entrées which they had a lot of and gluten-free fish and chips was wonderful along with our server, Tim did a very professional job very engaging really made a great visit. Highly recommend! read more

Stopped by at 2:30pm after a day of bicycling through Acadia with the family, thirsty and famished. Didn't want to walk around too much so we stopped in. Service was prompt and friendly. Adult food was good. Got the very expensive lobster pizza. It was good but not sure it was worth $35. Kids got their kids' meals, fish and chips & chicken tenders and fries. Their fish and chicken portions were tiny, 3-4 finger sized pieces, which looked like something from the grocery store freezer case. $140+ including tip for family of five with 3 kids meals. read more

The service was great. The food was not. The lobster toll had barely any lobster in it.

Just an amazing place. Great location and interesting atmosphere with some of the best food on the East Coast. Went there for Lobster one night and went right back the next night for a mussels and a seafood bake. Did I mention they have the best Maine blueberry pie? They also pour a healthy drink. This is our go to place whenever we are in Bar Harbor. read more

This restaurant had great atmosphere. Service was excellent. Food quality was good, but not amazing. One of our family has a gluten allergy and was thrilled to learn that all the fried seafood is served gluten free. We returned a second night and she was able to enjoy lobster stew with a gluten free roll. When we left there was a 2-hour wait for a table. This restaurant does take online reservations (held with a credit card) - we made our reservations in the mornings and were able to be seated within minutes of our arrival. read more

Geddy's seemed like a tacky chain restaurant, so we were hesitant to go despite all the great reviews. We decided to anyways because so many people were waiting so we figured it had to be pretty good. We made a reservation and still had to wait an hour past our reservation time to be seated. Once we were finally sat, we were served by a very friendly waitress who gave us her recommendations. We ordered the seafood pie and the shrimp pasta. My boyfriend really enjoyed the seafood pie. My shrimp pasta was decent but definitely lacked some seasoning. Overall, the food was good but their reservations and seating seemed to be pretty messy. read more

I was a bit disappointed with the food because the place got many good reviews. The environment was nice and service was good but if i had to give an honest review, the food didn't reach my expectations. The calamari sauce was flavorful but calamari itself wasn't too crispy. The shrimp scampi was a bit overcooked and bland. The mussels came with a lot of empty shells. The clam chowder was your basic clam chowder. The pizzas were good but very soggy. read more

Geddy's was one of our favorite restaurants that we visited in Bar Harbor! The atmosphere and overall vibe of the restaurant was super inviting and fun, and the food was delicious! Great meal. We sat in the back and the background music was 70's just perfect for all of us. D.J. Was our waiter and his recommendation was spot on. My sister had the Lobster Bake. My wife had the huge portion of fish and chips with myself having the Ahi Tuna tacos . Everyone was full and the food was great. Bethany the bar was a sweetheart and made the best Mojito for my wife. Van is a hostess beyond comparison and gave us a great seat at DJ table. Everyone seems happy working here. read more

First time here on vacation from CT. Indoor seating is pretty much at half capacity, but our timing was good and we just had a 15 minute wait. Fish and chips were excellent... homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce were defiantly some of the best I've had. My daughter enjoyed her margarita pizza and my husband really enjoyed his shrimp and scalloped served over pasta. Caleb was our waiter and he was really lovely. Did a great job and was just a really nice guy.... he was as much a part of the experience as the good food and it really was a good choice for dinner tonight. Thanks Caleb for a well serviced dinner!!!! Ps.... we can be hard to please.... my husband is a chef so we often struggle to find good food out!!!! read more

My husband and I tried to come here on Halloween night but we missed their closing time. The lovely host still asked us if we wanted Halloween candy though. We returned the next day and I was glad we did! I ordered the veggie nachos and blueberry soda while my husband had the avocado falafel wrap.
