I was able to get a seat at the bar. I had a lobster Cobb salad, the lobster was rubbery and not very flavorful. Also had a Pale Ale, it was good. Service wasn't friendly and wasn't rude. Atmosphere is average. read more

My daughter had her first DIY lobster experience here! The drinks were great (on the large side), lobsters were fresh tasting, and the blueberry pies were perfect sweetness (to me)! The clam chowder was delicious too. Loved the decorations of the restaurant. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. It was an expensive dinner (as expected) but overall a great start to our Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park vacation. read more

We loved everything about Geddy's! We went at lunch time and the service and food, and drinks were phenomenal. The calamari app was delicious and the haddock sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend Geddy's to anyone visiting Bar Harbor! read more

Delicious lobster and scampi dish! Great service. I ordered the lobster bake which includes a 1lb lobster with melted butter, clam chowder, corn on the cob and a piece of blueberry pie. All of it was delicious! I also have to emphasize HOW GOOD the shrimp and scallop scampi was... I would return just for that. Soooooo tasty! Two minor complaints: both nights that I ate here I was seated at the same table and the floor was completely wet- this was near the lobster tank. The fish sandwich was a bit soggy and drippy. If I ever re-visit Maine, I'd return!! read more

This place was very touristy bar feeling and really didn't live up to the hype for us after eating so many excellent meals locally. This was a giant drink, sticky floor kind of vibe which is just what it is as long as you know what you're in for, but I wouldn't recommend for food. I'm not sure why it was recommended for kids other than maybe having a kids menu that was nothing great. When I was researching places to eat Geddys and Side Street Cafe both came up with similar ratings but Side Street is way way better quality food and service. Our waiter was nice enough, but regardless this was one of the meals we regretted after having had better elsewhere. read more

Visiting Geddy's in Bar Harbor has become a cherished tradition for our family, and it never disappoints. This time, my 12-year-old son dove into the King lobster roll and enjoyed every last bite, much to our amazement. The atmosphere at Geddy's is eclectic and lively, creating an energetic buzz that might not suit those seeking a quiet, intimate dining experience, but it's perfect for a fun family outing. The food at Geddy's is consistently very good. The oysters were fresh and flavorful, and the blueberry pie was a delightful highlight. The kids particularly love the unique touch of serving meals on frisbees, adding a playful twist to the dining experience. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Geddy's is a must-visit spot that offers a true taste of Bar Harbor with its own unique charm. Service was very slow this time, but I think that was just because our server was triple sat. read more

The food was good excellent, service was great and we loved the hustle bustle and the energy going on around us! We will be back.

This is probably the best place we ate at Bar Harbor. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the amount that we got. My favorite was the drink I got, which I believe was a piña colada which was named different and I can not recall. The Salmon is cooked to perfection, not dry and not too undercooked. The mussels where very tasty and served with a delicious slice of bread. The pizza was really good and my fiance and I managed to finish the pizza even when we were feeling full. That's how good it was. Overall the place is decorated with unique knick knacks and the place has a fun environment. Come here for good food and a fun time. read more

We came here for lunch during a stop on our RC cruise. I was so happy to see some gluten free fish and chips on the menu! We also had the clam chowder, which was pretty tasty. Everything was super fresh and not oily at all. We didn't opt to get any drinks other than water because this ish was PRICEY! For both orders + tip, it was well over $50 for lunch. But I get it - it's a port town with seasonal surges, and cheap seafood is... well, it's best to avoid it. I'd come here again but maybe just get the fish and chips. read more

My husband and I spent two weeks traveling from Maine down to New Jersey and back. Out of the the three lobster rolls I ate on my trip, Geddy's outdid the others. I got the 1/2 lb roll and it was amazing from the first bite. Not a piece went to waste. Very laid back atmosphere, with cool decor. Loved the mural with all the memorable characters. The service was on spot, very likeable, made sure we were taken care of. Pricing is market so it was a $60 sandwich, but I was expecting it and the lobster was absolutely perfect. I enjoyed it very much. If you are in Bar Harbor, I recommend. read more

We opted for Geddy's after a bad experience at another spot on the opposite end of town...and we were glad we did. While they don't have outdoor seating (main reason for four stars), they are near the harbor and have a good vibe. Our server was cheerful and overall great. We had a couple of the lobster dinners that came with clam chowder, corn on the cob and blueberry pie for $48. It was all very good. Our daughter had a burger (a good option for the non-seafood fan) and she said it was good as well. We wanted a pleasant dining experience to soak up the energy Bar Harbor had to offer, and this fit the need. We would eat there again if were are in town. read more

First, it's worth getting a reservation here. It always seemed packed when we passed. If you've never been to Bar Harbor, there's a lot of wait times if you pick the busiest time to eat. That being said, booking a time and modifying one was super easy. They're great about online or phone reservations! Our drink was just okay, really pricey and really sweet. We ordered the painkiller but couldn't finish it because of how sweetened the mix was. Oysters were fresh and delicious. There's plenty of food options for all types of eaters. We went with pizza for my hubby and Geddy's Maine roll for myself. The pizza crust was phenomenal. The lobster roll was a great size. A sneaky surprise was the cranberry ketchup! Wow! Overall the atmosphere was nice. The staff was pleasant and they all helped look after each other's tables. Random, but they seemed to have a really well running kitchen! The energy coming from there was great to see. The food came out fast. Overall a good place to eat in a town full of options! read more

I cannot wait to come back to Geddys and try more items from their menu. Absolutely loved the decor inside and that is the best thing about this place. 3.5 stars. We are visiting Bar Harbor from out of state, and we went to Geddy's yesterday on a Tuesday night for dinner. Food was good! Many of us ordered the Lobster bake, which includes a 1.25 lb lobster, cup of new england clam chowder, corn, butter, and a slice of blueberry pie. The meal was good - clam chowder was excellent, lobster was warm and meaty, and the blueberry pie was DELICIOUS! However, my oyster appetizer was less than tasty. The dips were yummy, but the oysters themselves were slightly difficult to eat. The service was slow. After we were seated, it took a while for someone to give us water and take our order. After our order was taken, it took a pretty long time for the food to arrive. Our waitress was very nice, but it was clear that it was very busy in the restaurant and bar. read more

Probably my favorite restaurant in Bar Harbor. I was here in early May, and there were a lot of restaurants that were stilled closed, but I came here everyday for a meal while staying in bar harbor. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. Their cocktails were delicious. But most importantly, their food was so good! They were one of the only restaurants that had lobster rolls while I was there. However I opted to get the ahi tuna poke the first time which was delicious. It had huge chunks of ahi tuna, seaweed salad, avocado and reasonably priced, and definitely filling! For appetizer my friends and I had the garlic mussels. I HIGHLY suggest you get this because it is finger lickin good. I wanted to slurp the broth out of the bowl. I ate it as my entree when I came for lunch. I would recommend to wrap up the meal with the blueberry pie slice. It was so good and comes with a scoop of ice cream. It was the perfect combo. read more

Tried Geddy's after seeing it recommended on Facebook. First night in Bar Harbor and it was a good, solid choice. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and the lobster pizza - both were very good. The pepperoni was a safe bet, but still had tons of flavor. The lobster had fresh jalapeños and bacon that really surprised me in the added flavor. My only complaint would be for the crust to be a *tad* crispier to hold all the ingredients. The bartender was nice, accommodating & had great recommendations for drinks. We had the Seadog Blueberry Ale (which is always great) & a pineapple coconut margarita which was to die for! read more

The lobster roll was good and the lobster bake was very good but not super filling. After ordering those, we decided to add a sausage and stout pizza. Oh man were we in for a surprise. The stout glaze was one of the best flavors we've ever had on a pizza. It was primarily in the middle of the pizza. It was literally the star of the meal. I think the stout glaze should be featured as a highly recommended sauce. read more

What a disappointment coming here. There weren't many options in Bar Harbor in April. We gave this place a shot for lobster rolls. The lobster rolls were $37.00 a piece and looked miniature to say the least. The amount of lobster in them was minimal and they were small. I would not recommend eating here unless you're desperate. They should be ashamed serving those for that price. In comparison, in Portland, ME, we got lobster rolls that were way better, what you would expect and $28.00. Tourist trap. In response, your price for the lobster roll shows "market price" not the price as you say to be transparent. I don't mind paying $37.00 for a roll if it is full of lobster meat and tastes good. The problem is, yours was miniature and lacked lobster meat. read more

Geddy's - Lobster roll "market price" of $37.00 and not worth it - Seafood Near Me - Bar Harbor, Maine

On my own I'd give Geddy's 3 stars, but I just couldn't after watching my husband's delight taking down a massive lobster dinner there. Not sure how much my vote is worth as a vegetarian here, so maybe skip to the next one if you're only here for the shellfish... My dinner was pretty bland, though jazzed up with the surprisingly spicy Geddy's hot sauce I asked for. I'd never met a margarita I didn't like, but I found it in the blueberry marg I got here . . . On the other hand, the blueberry pie probably made up for it all, and I regret not getting a slice all to myself! Things seemed a little confused when we arrived, and we were a little bummed at the wait considering we'd made a reservation. We were moved to a different table after being seated for 5-10 minutes and placing our order, which was odd, but I appreciated the social distancing between tables. I couldn't decide whether I loved or hated the super-kitsch decor, but it's a pretty big space and the service was friendly. read more
