I opted for the Ham and cheese croissant, and the sausage croissant. Both breading was fantastic. Good flavor, airy yet crispy, just really well made. I will definitely come back for the ham and cheese croissant. The sausage croissant wasn't really for me (the bread was) it truly is a big sausage in there. It had good flavor, just isn't for me. If they could make just a plain cheese or bacon and cheese that would hit the spot lol We also got their regular cinnamon roll. The breading had a lovely sweet cinnamon flavor and the icing on top had a delicious creamy taste without being overly sweet. The odd part for us was the filling in the inside. I couldn't decide if I cared for it or not, I was almost feeling it was pushing the sweetness over just a bit so l may or may not get that again. Even tho they have seating inside, it feels more like a grab and go. You can def enjoy your item there. But I wouldn't say a spot where you can sit and catch up with a Friend or read a book. It also felt a bit too warm and stuffy so cranking down the AC a bit would help it feel more inviting especially from coming outside from the Arizona heat. I normally don't do this, but I would like to give everyone a heads up just in case they ever think of going with Gecko Grill for their catering service. A little over a month ago, we decided to go with them to cater our wedding. We called and spoke with the owner (Martina) and got everything good to go, even put our deposit down. Time went on and the wedding came closer. Two days before the wedding, our VENUE had called us to inform us that they have not received the catering license from Gecko Grill, and that Martina had been difficult to get a hold of. We finally got a hold of her and they were right...she was trying to get the license two days before the wedding. We followed up with her the day before our wedding and she informed us that she did not get the license and Gecko Grill was not able to cater our wedding. All in all, everything worked out. The communication was not good at all. We had no idea that it was even an issue until our venue got in contact with us. I just want everyone to be aware so this doesn't happen to them. read more

I wanted to take a moment to provide feedback on my recent experiences as a regular customer at your establishment. As someone who frequents your restaurant approximately twice a week, I have come to appreciate the consistency and quality of your offerings. However, over the past two weeks, I have noticed a notable difference in the quality of the rice served with my meals. While I have always found it to be satisfactory in the past, the recent changes have been nothing short of phenomenal. The rice has been exceptionally flavorful and perfectly cooked, elevating my dining experience to a new level of enjoyment. That being said, I feel compelled to address an aspect of my visits that has been less satisfactory: the customer service. While I have always received polite and courteous service from your staff, there has been a noticeable lack of attention to detail and attentiveness in recent interactions. read more

Gecko Grill has a lovely atmosphere -- the space itself feels warm and inviting, and it definitely sets the stage for what could have been a great meal. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the setting. The staff just didn't seem very friendly, which took away from the overall vibe. Service felt a bit cold and unwelcoming, which is disappointing when you're hoping for a nice night out. The chips and salsa were actually the highlight -- fresh, flavorful, and a great start to the meal. Sadly, the rest of the food didn't measure up. It was just... mediocre. Nothing outright terrible, but nothing memorable either. Overall, the atmosphere was nice, but with unfriendly service and forgettable food, it's not a place I'll be returning to. read more

I went to this restaurant to eat in after the lockdown and was surprised and mad to see that none of the workers, including waiters and waitresses, were NOT wearing a mask. That was very disappointing because I wanted to support my local restaurants but I can't support Gecko Grill now since they undermine the virus that caused the lockdown. At any rate, if you want a restaurant that cares about their customers, or even workers, don't go to Gecko Grill because their workers do not wear masks, unlike other restaurants. We used to go to Gecko quite a bit when they were on Gilbert and Guadalupe. We went to their new location only once. I can't bring myself to go there anymore -- their restaurant is WAY too small, the wait pretty bad, and the service only fair. I don't know ... maybe I will give it another shot.
