At the end of 2017, District 11 Little League (California) presented my league, Sierra Foothills Little League, with a new baseball uniform program designed around Nike clothing and managed by Gear Up Sports. We are a relatively small league, but we have approx. 400 kids needing jerseys & hats each season, so there are a lot of moving pieces. At first, I was hesitant as I just came off of a successful season where I was able to source all uniforms through local suppliers (I am big into supporting local folks). However, the presentation of the offer as well as the help mocking up designs was first rate & I immediately presented the offer to my board. Quite quickly, we voted to enter into a multi-year agreement with Gear Up & Nike to provide our kids with high quality, affordable, brand recognizable uniforms. Right off the bat, the team at Gear Up sent over a planning worksheet to start establishing divisions, teams, jersey style & colors, jersey printing colors & design, hat style & color, hat embroidery colors, design & thread colors...not to mention the lead times and deadlines to hit. Needless to say, lots of information is required to organize & coordinate a league full of kid's jerseys! Gathering and organizing the data above takes quite a bit of time and constant updating of information. My league has local constraints such as weather, etc. that tends to push my orders uncomfortably close to my deadlines, but Gear Up was able to maneuver and get creative with printing & shipping so as all deadlines will be achieved. Actually, as I write this, the second batch of jerseys are being shipped and are hitting my timeframe perfectly! As for the ever-important communication with Gear Up I can easily say that they are there to get the job done. Phone calls, emails, texts...whatever way you need to communicate, they make it happen. (Great job Chris & Mac!). We opted for a stock Nike Vapor Dri-FIT model that our kids, coaches & parents were very happy with from our previous Fall season. The jerseys look great as does the decoration. These Nike jerseys fit very true to size and run long as a baseball jersey should! The length requires you to tuck them in so your teams look sharp, not sloppy. The hats were high quality twill snap backs that were color coordinated to the franchise team color and when combined with the uniforms, they look great! I gave Gear Up a 4-star review because I feel that they put in a great amount of effort to make this work for me and my league this pre-season. I considered tossing out a 5 but I would like to get a full season behind me of continued success...I absolutely expect this to be the case. I will gladly promote Gear Up Sports to others who seek league sports jerseys, especially when there are large quantities of multi-color, multi-design uniforms involved. I placed an order 7 weeks ago. Haven't heard a thing. When I called to check on my order, they couldn't find it, and then said it is a "technical issue" on their end. My daughter has missed two track meets without a uniform, and they just said they will "email me with an update". It's been 7 weeks! If I ever get my order, the season will basically be over. I asked if they could rush ship a basic uniform (tank and shorts), so she at least has a matching uniform to compete in, and customer service said "once we figure out what the technical issue was with your order, we will try to get your items to you as soon as we can". No urgency and very little updates. Very disappointed, and would not go through them again for any gear. read more

If I could give a zero star, I would. Followed size chart, purchased sizing insurance, and got a terrible quality and fitting jersey. Requested replacement, never received, spoke to numerous customer service reps, all had different stories, blamed it on everyone else. Said it was UPS fault it was "lost". They lost the 2nd replacement, then magically found it in warehouse the day later. Worst experience ever. Ordered in January, still no jersey that fits. The "Sizing Insurance" for $30 is a total scam--the sizing chart they provide doesn't even match the brand they ship. They blamed UPS for "losing" my package twice, but UPS never received it; the company had it in their warehouse the whole time. I'm out $200 plus the cost of professional tailoring because they couldn't deliver on time. They refuse to refund the order. Save your money and your sanity--shop elsewhere. read more

Even though the customer rep. got back with me quickly I was told I wasn't able to refund or exchange what ordered even though I ordered yet just day before. I purchased a $450 bundle which is too expensive for me not to be able to get the size that I need. They wanted to charge me insurance to send me what I ordered and if I don't they would purposely mess up my order. read more

The world of youth sports uniform providers is pretty bad and gearUP may be the WORST experience I've ever had. I placed an order for my daughter's uniform in late July. It is now late September and it still has not arrived. I've called at least 5 or 6 times and they keep lying to me. It is always, "about to ship". I called ~Sep. 8th and they assured me it would get sent that week. They said my daughter would receive it no later than Sep. 15th. I called on Sep. 17th and they said they held the shipment because they were confused about the address but did not contact me about the issue. They said they would expedite the shipment and it would get to my daughter by Sep. 19th or 20th since she really needed it on Sep. 21st. It is now, Sep. 23rd and the shipment has still not arrived. I also discovered they decided to make a change and removed the mailbox # on the address for no apparent reason. Not only are the extremely slow, they are operationally incompetent. Their prices are also way higher than anywhere else. Not sure why my daughter's club chose them. read more

I only gave 2because we did at least receive most of our order. There were problems from the start with the ordering links. Then there is a credit card fee charged even though they are an online company and the only way to pay is by credit card. Then when our order arrived they sent the wrong shorts. I have emailed 5x and although I get a response, they don't acknowledge or address the issue with the shorts. Don't bother trying to call either. There is never anyone available, you just get out into a voicemail and told to leave your email because they will respond by email. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

GearUP intentionally provides extremely small, inaccurate measurement recommendations, and then don't allow exchanges unless you bought extra "Sizing Insurance." Sizing Insurance? whoever even heard of such a thing? If you follow their sizing recommendations, you will be given a jersey that is MUCH too small. Then, they will tell you that you cannot exchange it unless you bought their additional "sizing insurance" and it's your fault for not buying it. Who would need it if given accurate sizing recommendations? This place is a scam. Avoid. They are nothing but greedy money grabbers that care nothing for their customers. read more

ordered a shirt for a camp for my son. shipping notifications from gear up sports said adult large being sent. then a youth large received. rather than just replace it, they had me emailing photos and then still sent it back to the camp order people to find out if it was ordered wrong. then when called they were of no help and when transferred put me into infinite hold. read more

I don't understand how this company can still be in business. We paid extra for "size insurance" on my son's uniform because the size charts online weren't helpful. The first pair of pants we got was WAY too big. My kid is 11 and these pants would fit a grown adult. We requested the send a size Youth Medium. They sent ADULT medium. Called AGAIN, argued with them that we wanted a refund because this was ridiculous. They said they would send another pair or youth medium pants but we would have to pay a restocking fee. Absolutely not! This was THEIR mess-up. PThey arrived today--ADULT MEDIUM AGAIN. Got the run-around when we called, they wanted us to email them instead of talking on the phone, just terrible all around. (This has happened to over half the kids on our team.) Ordered my daughters jersey on February 6th and they stated it take 3-5 weeks for it be made as it is sublimated then was shipped on 19th February and the carrier lost the package. A replacement order was made on 24 February and now have to wait another 3-5 weeks and with all of this I even paid 216 dollars for expected shipping which I'm waiting to see if they will refund me as with the replacement order is going to be received 7 or less days after they ship it. 10 weeks for a jersey is unacceptable and they state there is no way to expedite the sublimation process. I will be convinced that this company is a scam/Ponzi scheme until I actually receive my sons basketball jersey and shorts. I ordered them 2 weeks before the deadline (4 weeks ago) and still haven't received a ship date. I've called and emailed their customer service and no one is able to give me a clear answer on when my son will have his items. Ordered my sons team uniform on 2/25/25 with expectations of it being her by his first game. Some kids on the team received there uniforms within 1 week and others not. Including us. I called on 3/11/25 and was told it was going out that day and should receive it by Friday. Called again on Thursday 3/13/25 to see if I could get a tracking number and was told it's set be be shipped that day. What happened to being shipped Tuesday? Luckily our game was canceled due to weather. Ended up getting his uniform on Monday 3/17/25. For those on our team that hadn't received there uniforms our coach Ended up driving up and picking them up. They told me it was a production issue but it sounds to me that it was a problem with the shipping department. read more

Super poor customer service. We had to reselect jersey number twice. Very poor communication via email, confirmations of two orders and then coming back saying that number was no longer available. Would not recommend using this company if you have a choice. read more

Disappointing We and our team ordered uniforms in August which we received in September but we never got our twin boys hats. Make sense to have them in the same package but sadly, we weren't that lucky. We have reached out to customer since September 7th, today is September 22nd and nothing has been resolved. One employee told us the hats were not on back order yet no one has a direct answer on where the hats or the package is. These employees Draven, Lillian or Wren will talk to you in circles. We have called, emailed and received the exact same responses that indicate they will look into our missing items with their Production Team. I was told we would get an email or a phone call back and we never received any line of communication. We are entering the middle of our boys baseball season, Game 7 on Sunday and we are the only two players on the team without hats! Apparently they are closed on Friday's so that is one less day they could solve the issue. read more

If I could give zero stars I most definitely would! They are products are questionable I think that they are knocked off they are very cheap and very see through. I ordered a bag for one sport and received a bag for another. When I reached out to them regarding the incorrect bag they said that it's the only bag they sell . I placed an order on the baseball site for baseball items. I got a basketball ball. They said it's the bag they send for all sports and that I made an agreement to purchase. Buyer beware-care instructions on the garment have nothing to do with the printing. Read the fine print, i.e. all of the papers included with your delivery because buried in them will be care instructions to not dry this garment. I dried several times as do many people I talked to on my team without issue. Then one time, the printing fused together and then peeled off the garment when I tried to separate and salvage. I ordered gear twice from this company, and intended to order for years in the future. I still will probably have no choice but to order from here, as our entire league provides business to this company. This company kindly emailed me the care instructions in response to my asking for customer care, and in so many words said I was out of luck. These instructions would've been helpful to have been included with any of the emails I had received regarding the orders in the first place, at checkout or clearly visible on the site. After escalating the issue I was offered a 20% discount. For the volume of business our league provides, I feel this is terrible customer care. The jerseys are great, quality is great until it's not. Beware and don't dry, or find another supplier that will respect your business. There were also incorrect sizes provided to team members, and delivery to incorrect addresses for certain orders. Please note that the first email I received in response, I was asked to send pictures and then they could evaluate the situation, great! Sizing charts online are not accurate and no way to try things on. When things don't fit you aren't able to return them- even when they are still making uniforms with the same team logos. This is third order we have placed with them and every order has had issues. read more

I had to order a warm up shirt for my son as a requirement for his team. I ordered a shirt that required no customization what so ever, and it took them over three weeks to even mail out the shirt. I have never ordered an article of clothing from another site that has taken this long to be mailed out/received. Even the basketball jersey that we were required to order from Gear-Up Sports didn't take this long to send out. Then, when I was told that the shirt had been packed and sent out, the tracking number did not update for over three days, saying that only a label had been made, and it was on it's way to the mailing facility. If there was a zero, that is what this company would get. Their Volleyball Player "PACK" is a T-Shirt and you purchase the socks and shorts additionally. Which is different from a Soccer Player "PACK" which comes with T-Shirt, Socks, and Shorts and makes more sense. No communication on when order is ready. Some parents just went and attempted pick up and items had been sitting there. But - you are locked in if this is the company your school uses so you suffer. I want to thank the team at Gear-Up Sports for their excellent customer service with what was a cluster. I ordered the wrong size baseball pants for my son. Long story short, I called & corrected it but the wrong size came. I let them know & they immediately put another pair in the mail but unfortunately they were a Medium Men's - not kids. Another call to Gear-Up Sports and I had a replacement pair hand delivered within the hour to my house -along with a second pair for good measure.
