Took my Samsung Galaxy s21+ in for a LCD replacement, everything was fine at first but I later found out that some internal components were missing and the back was never glued back on. There was also signs of screws being forced in cockeyed and I now have dead pixels around my front camera. Definitely not worth the $350+ I was charged. My old Chromebook bit the dust, I think it was around 3 years old. Had fixoid put a new battery in. I think it cost between $100-150.00. it bought me a lousy one year extension years of use. my charger was hinky at the connector to the phone, i went in expecting a new USB connector and a $100 repair charge. The tech took it, said he would be back shortly. 3 minutes later he handed it to me and said "here you go", and further inquiry led to him telling me the connector had a lot of gunk in there, and he cleaned it ... no charge. He COULD have waited 15 minutes and said he replaced the connector and I would have been none the wiser- but he didn't. He was honest and provided a good service and a good deed. Gone are the days where you could go to any Radio Shack to get a useful computer part, forcing us to dig online. Thank goodness for Fixoid coming in for the rescue! The staff was all wearing masks, which was great and consistent as I've been here twice now. They fixed my phone the 1st time replacing the screen that was bad. Later I discovered a dead spot in the center, when I called they said to bring it back so they could look at it. After their checking it out they replaced the screen again no problem, no complaints. It was a great find to know that they honor their work with a warranty and they honor the warranty with out issue. My computer was running slow, so I looked up Fixoid on my computer and brought it in to them. I couldn't back up my PC on the SD cards so I was already scared about it. Super high bench fee of $150 they somehow made my hard drive not work at all. Lost all my current files. Paying $150 to delete all my files is not fair. There wasn't a line when my Darling Husband and myself arrived at this Fixoid. I needed a diagnostic service on my device. I was quoted a flat fee. I might have that done later. I asked about the discount for Senior Citizens. I was told I don't yet qualify. I spoke with the Clerk about Metroid... who is featured on my tote bag. And,... my Husband asked about the prices of the different models of laptops available for purchase. They are all locked up because too many criminals like to steal from the nearby Target store at Mall 205. And, yes,... there is a TriMet bus stop, and a MAX stop within walking distance of the front door in case there is an accident with your device and you need it fixed... but can't quite figure out what the next probable thing to do is. Don't call IT... they will tell you that you'll need it serviced for sure. ;) I used to walk to Target Pre Pandemic and sometimes I shop at the Mall stores.... or go to the restaurants that are located nearby. I recommend the Minestrone soup if you are nearby. Bring your friend who knows about gadgets or more about technology than you do... if you need to know which device you'll need for your specific tasks. There weren't any potholes out front... which is great! read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!! I am extremely disappointed. I was "baited & switched" here. Do not use this company!!!! I took my S21 in with a broken screen to be fixed. The cashier took it in the back & told me it's an Ultra so it's going to cost more, total price $229. I think to myself, okay fine higher than I thought but they are nice & fast. Paid $229 & left my phone. I go back to pick up my phone, they said you told us it's an s20 plus and we had to open it up to see it was a ultra. I replied, no we have already had this conversation. You took it in the back and said this in an Ultra. After some discussion of them telling me I lied to them.... did not happen.... they wouldn't let me leave with my phone without a broken screen placed back on or paying $100 more!! $329 for a new screen!? What!? I'm Livid. I could have traded it in or picked another spot to fix my phone. I know what happened - they either bait and switched me or they screwed up and charged the wrong price / the wrong item. I know exactly what they said. I will be turning them into BBB. $329 is a lot of money especially when they saw me, I was in there with my baby. Horrible experience. Screens do not cost anywhere close to this price. The 2 nice people in the waiting room said the same thing. They looked worried what their bill was going to be too.... customers are not right here. But we thought it was so, many problems geeking about, trying to set it up. I ALMOST brought it back. Let's make an analogy: would you trust a VCR repair business that didn't have any VHS tapes on hand to actually TEST the VCRs that are brought in? I certainly do not feel comfortable with this. Fixoid told me it is perfectly logical that they have ZERO Nintendo Switch cartridges on hand to actually test the repaired devices, even though "we repair these ALL the time." I was shocked when they asked me to come back and bring them one of my son's games, so they could test the system. I initially brought my son's Nintendo Switch to this store, after being assured "we do tons of repairs on Nintendo Switches." My son's Switch wasn't charging consistently. My kid played the switch ON THE WAY to the store, using his Zelda, BOTW cartridge--the cartridge reader was working perfectly fine--the charging port was the issue. The next day, I was given a call that the charging port had been bad, and had been replaced. I picked up the Switch, but when I got it home, my son was quite disappointed that the cartridge slot would no longer read his games. We tried every game he has--none of them worked. I gave Fixoid the benefit of the doubt, and did not accuse them of breaking the cartridge reader when they did the charging port repair, even though it worked when I dropped it off--I took the Switch back to the store for one more round. Upon the 2nd drop off, we were told Fixoid techs never checked the cartridge reader the first time around...that they only check what you tell them to check. Really? For $100, they don't double-check everything, especially as a quick test before they return the device to you? The day after we dropped the switch off for the 2nd time, I got a message asking if we could bring in a Nintendo Switch game cartridge, so they could test the cartridge reader. Are you serious? You repair Nintendo Switches "all the time," but don't have ONE game cartridge on hand? The repair office is next door to Target. Perhaps it is time to buy a cartridge to keep on hand to test the "tons of Nintendo switches [you] repair." And, I am supposed to waste even more of my time bringing a cartridge to you? That would be the 3rd time I'd be coming in for 1 simple repair. I told them I didn't have time to do that, and they ended up asking one of the techs to bring in a cartridge from home, which took them 2 additional days. After testing using the tech's cartridge, they then called & said they didn't know what was wrong, but would like to wipe the device to see if that helped. I asked if all of my son's game progress would be lost. They said they were not sure. At this point, I had lost all confidence that Fixoid had enough experience to repair my kid's Switch. When I picked up the Switch, I spoke to the manager, and asked him if he could meet me in the middle, and provide a partial refund, since they did fix the charging port. He declined, & told me that if I wasn't willing to let them try wiping the Switch, it was "as if you are handcuffing me." He reiterated that it was perfectly normal for them to not have even one cartridge on hand to test the Switches they repair, and said they often ask people to bring in chargers, etc., so they can test devices. I certainly don't have time for all this back and forth, and will be looking for a repair business that has all the accessories they need, on hand, to test the devices they claim to be experts in repairing. read more

When I brought my computer in on August 10, I understood I was paying $149 to have them repair my computer. I came in to pick up my "fixed" computer and paid another $59.99 for a replacement RAM stick (That was OK with me). Three days later my computer was dead again. I brought it back to fixoid. The sales person said it was "under warrantee"... After weeks my computer is "done" and I am asked to pay a $59 'data recovery' fee. The technician did not save my 'data recovery' to any external disc... just said "It's in there" --pointing to my computer. NO PARTS WERE REPLACED! He said the initial $149 does not cover the data recovery. I don't trust this business. Their additional fees STINK! read more

I had an issue (or two) with a laptop purchased from Fixoid a few month ago. I brought is in, explained what I was experiencing, and the clerk, Oleg, stated they would do some diagnostic tests and would get back to me the next day. I went back the next morning (this is my primary computer after all) and Oleg stated that he'd have answer by 2 pm that day. Granted, he's not the most chatty clerk I've dealt with, but he gave clear communication on what to expect. Later that day, I received a message stating the laptop was ready to be picked up. I stopped in and Ben (part owner in the business) gave me the computer and stated there was no charge because it was still under their warranty. Let me be clear, they gave me a new battery AND charger. It was unexpected, and I was grateful. Not only that, he had a screen protector in stock for my ancient i-Phone 5c that he put on immediately. I am very satisfied with the service I've received from this vendor - and would encourage others to give them their business. TL:DNR I will never step in this store again. YMMV It appears that other folks have success here. This was the third and last time I will stop here. I believe​ I purchased something I needed/wanted the first visit. The second time was for the same item I just stopped in for. A mouse. Last time it was over priced and I didn't really need it. This time the staff, while cordial, wasn't out going, and I had to push on them a bit to get them to try and sell me a mouse. You had 2 mice on the wall, hanging by their cords, both of which I might have been interested in buying. First of all you lied about the item condition on at least one of them. Mice don't come from any manufacturer outside of a box hanging by a human wrapped cord. Secondly no name manufacturers, in my experience, don't make 80 dollar gaming mice. If they do, they come in retail boxes showing them as better than brand name for less money. Then telling me the price of a used no name unboxed, mouse is 39.99, and it is twice that new.... ... With a straight face, while you are looking at the price online.... For a mouse that was released 35 months ago, that I can buy new, were it in stock, for 17.99. It's flabbergasting. I'm a nobody, but this is posted to Google, and I will go to yelp, and post on my other social media sites. I will drive as much business away from you as I can, because I know I am not the only one you are fleecing. read more
