It's so easy to pack due to the frame that keeps it open. I loaded 3 compression packing bags, my iPad, and still had room for more! And, it's not over-sized! The front clasp is appreciated to keep it in place. The color is exactly as depicted in the Portland Gear website. Generous lower front pouch too. Love this backpack!

Now, the other side of the coin. After recently purchasing 3 items, I wouldn't ever recommend to anyone that they should purchase from your website. Before ordering, I was not sure which exact items to order and looking for someone from your company to perhaps help me make that decision, I realized you have NO live reps to even discuss my dilemma. I realized that none of your stores even have a phone number to call. This is very poor. Which leads me to your app/website. It is NOT user friendly. I had to spend quite a bit of my valuable time combing through, not only your site, but also reviews on other sites as well, Instagram, YouTube, etc. I work very hard for my money and I want to be a good steward with it. Your company did not help make that happen. After spending much time researching, I rolled the dice and hoped for the best. After deciding and placing my order of 3 products, the first package arrived, unfortunately missing an item. I had to go through your difficult to navigate site again, this time to report a missing item. I waited quite a bit longer to receive the 2nd product and then days longer to receive the missing product. Come on, you can do better! Your products are not cheap but your customer service is! Any company that i support, especially with the word 'Portland' in the store name, has to be better. Until you improve your customer service, I will use and enjoy the products that ive already purchased, however, I will NOT be making any new purchases and will not recommend purchases through app or website to anyone. I'm in your corner PortlandGear, get it together!

Upon walking into the store, the staff is incredibly friendly. The only thing a bit odd is that it smells like cigarette smoke throughout the store. I believe that is their signature incense but the first couple of times I visited, I assumed that there were people in the back room smoking. The layout of the store is easy to navigate and the minimalistic approach to their displays is a welcome change from your typical overwhelming shopping experience. Rather than display every size they have in every style they offer, they only display one size of each style. I appreciated that because it made for a much simpler shopping experience. Additionally, their sneaker selection is amazing. Every time I go in, there are a few new styles to look at. This is probably my favorite spot for finding some cool sneakers. We will continue to go back to the store for their unique styles, incredibly helpful staff, and amazing selection of footwear.

Did not notice any service happening. Limted sizes like small and Meduim on some items. The owmer/manager responded to my review below by stating they are a small store and sell out of sizes since they only get 8 of each. They still have limted sizes. I am not sure if the "why" matters if you go shopping and wear a large and there are none. I was not able to view the size or price tags without having to fish for them and pull it out so I could see. I found it annoying when shopping since buying clothes is the main goal. It is not an art exhibit. Maybe they do not know what it is like to be short and not able to easily view the tags. It is amazing how are unaware people people are of size differences.
