Soft opening special! $5.99 wonton soup & BBQ pork plate until the end of the month
    Mimi L.

Very friendly and clean restaurant. They share a parking lot so somewhat limited parking. There are about 8 four-seater tables so seating can be limited at busy times. I had their wonton noodle soup, cha siu, & duck. Their wonton soup was such a good deal at $5.99 (until the end of the month for their soft opening special). Their duck was not bad and their cha siu was alright. Some of the cha siu pieces had a good roasted flavor, but it wasn't consistent with every piece. However, this is the restaurant's soft opening so I know they are still working out some kinks. I also heard that this menu is their soft opening menu and that it may change down the line. I will definitely be back for their wonton noodle soup. Best bang for your buck that I've seen around. The wontons themselves were very tasty with a whole shrimp inside.

This place exceeded my expectations! Amazing food and great service! The roast pork was crispy, and the char siu was perfectly sweet and tender. The portions were generous, and everything came out quickly. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. Great prices for the quality of food. Highly recommend!

Good prices and good portions but my mother and I aren't fans. - wonton noodle soup: overcooked noodles and wontons. My veggies also needed an extra rinse, there was quite a bit of dirt still embedded within the leaves. The soup and wontons lacked flavor. - bbq pork rice: bbq pork was good. I got some really good marbling on my pieces. My plate looked a bit less than what other people got. Need to be more consistent on what's put on plates. - 3 combo plate: chose chicken, roasted pork, and duck. The duck had a good flavor but was mostly bone and some pieces were pretty pale, needed to be roasted better. The chicken was a hard pass. Slimy and no good flavor. Roasted pork was nice and crispy but the meat felt dry and it was just ok. FYI, come at least an hr after opening I'd you want more bbq offerings. The roasted pork and chicken weren't ready when we ordered but we're slow eaters and didn't mind waiting.

$5.99 for wonton noodle soup or bbq pork rice?? You can't beat those prices nowadays. I believe these prices are only during their soft promo in May but I hope they keep it at that price if possible. The flavor in the bbq pork was solid and the meat was juicy. They have plenty of seatings and they do share a small parking lot with other surrounding stores. But you can just park on the street and walk over. Service was great and our server immediately greeted us and handed us our menus to order. Definitely check them out!

$5.99 for wonton noodles & $5.99 for bbq pork rice!! Need I say more? lol I shall continue... Not only the price was good, but the foods were good! The portions were good. Service was good! lol so I guess everything about this place was good I prefer the egg noodles that they offered than the thin egg noodles. They also give a good amount of wontons. It wasn't just plain noodles & wontons. They even added some greens in the bowl. Flavor was pretty decent. The bbq pork rice was not bad at all. The pork was flavorful. Had some greens. Rice was good. Meats had some burnt spots...still good. This place was a bit outta the way for me. However, for such good deals, I don't mind coming back.

Tried this new restaurant during their soft opening and was really impressed. Their soft opening special Wonton Noodle Soup is only $5.99 and comes with 5 fresh shrimp wontons packed with pork and whole shrimp. The broth had a comforting, classic Cantonese flavor. We also got the 2-item combo with crispy pork belly and roasted duck for $12.99. Great portion size and hard to beat these prices in the San Gabriel Valley. The crispy pork belly was especially good -- crispy skin, juicy, and flavorful. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

What can you get for $5.99 these days? Well at the newly opened GD Tasty on Lower Azusa in El Monte, a couple of things--à plate of charshu rice or an order of wonton noodle soup. And a variety of rice plates and noodle soup if you'd rather have something else.

Won Ton has shrimp in it. So they did not go cheap

What a bargain 5.99 for 5 peace of wonton . 15.99 3 meat combo, just a bit salty. Service was good. Came here at 12 p.m. in the afternoon on Sunday not that busy. Family runned business. Best of luck to them

My fiancé and I genuinely love this Chinese restaurant. I met the owner Charles and quite frankly their roasted pork belly & bbq pork are out of this world. Their roasted duck is quite phenomenal when it's fresh and crispy. Charles always takes care of us with his superb large portion. We just ordered their salt and pepper chicken wings. All I have to say is super delicious. I love watching the Netflix movies there it's so quaint just to relax there.

They have a new menu and we ordered the Minced Pork & Egg Rice. This is the non-gravy/sauce version like some local restaurants are starting to do. Break the runny egg yolk and mix everything together. It was pretty good. We also ordered the pan fried turnip cake which is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It's better than many dim sum restaurant versions. Also got their beef rice roll again. Their rice rolls are always a hit. Don't forget to order their HK lemon iced tea on the side. Interior is hardly decorated but has statement black and red tables and chairs haha. No one was dining in, but it seemed like Steam Fresh was popular for takeout. For us, a black sesame roll (could be a snack or dessert), four orders of steamed pork siu mai, two orders of juicy pork dumplings (soup dumplings), and a beef chow fun with soy sauce dish totaled to a little over $55. Everything came out piping hot and packaged well for takeout. We only waited about 15min, which was not bad at all. We really liked the siu mai and chow fun. Both were savory and addicting. Siu mai were especially juicy and meaty; they definitely satisfied our dim sum cravings. Soup dumplings were ok - I found the wrapper to be doughy and the filling kinda plain. The black sesame roll had an interesting rolled look and a sticky, chewy, jelly-like texture. It tasted like lightly sweetened black sesame paste mixed into what seemed like a combination of mochi and agar. The small parking lot in the back is free. We got lucky finding a spot in the late morning, but when we were ready to back out after getting our food, cars were either circling the lot or waiting for someone to leave.

I saw this Hong Kong cafe that was open for breakfast and had a lot of good deals, so I decided to come give it a shot. TD Cafe is a very spacious Hong Kong cafe with ample seating. We were seated immediately. The staff were super attentive to all our needs. Our family and I ended up sharing a congee breakfast combo that came with rice noodle rolls, an instant noodle with pork chop and pineapple bun combo, and a curry chicken with a side of rice lunch combo. The breakfast combo came with a hot lemon tea and also a hot coffee. The portions were massive, incredibly generous. The side of rice noodle rolls with sauce was quite filling, as was the giant bowl of congee. The pork chop was tender and not too tough to chew. The noodle soup was light. My favorite was the chicken curry. I wish the cooks had added potatos, but the sauce was quite reminiscent of Hong Kong curry. We ended up having plenty of leftovers for dinner. Overall, very very good Hong Kong cafe with generous portions and excellent service.

I LOVE peach gum and haven't seen it that often but here there's a whole menu section for it! It's a jelly texture and is full of collagen and is really good for you. Snow swallow sounds scary but think of it like vegan birds nest? Not quite sure what the health benefits are but I'm sure it does something. Snow Swallow with Taro balls and Peach Gum in Coconut Milk, cold ($9)-- Can't vouch for the hot version but the cold one is great!!! It's so refreshing with a good mix of textures. There's jelly from peach gum, silky from snow swallow, chewy from taro balls.... everything just works so well together. The coconut milk is blended with other things I think because it's not jarring like coconut milk straight out of the can. It's sweet but not too sweet. A perfect canto dessert!! Portion size is good for 1 person which makes it kind of pricey $9 for a small bowl .... But nowadays even boba is $7-8.
