I last visited GB Fish & Chips back on 9/3/24 at their location in Arvada. They have continued to offer weekly specials. On Wednesdays you can get a large piece of fried haddock for $10. The regular price is $18. The other fish (swimmers) include cod, Pollock, prawns, squid and scallops. You can add sides for $3.25 each. I got a bowl of clam Chowder with plenty of clams & potatoes in a lightly salted cream base. The price stayed at $9.25; I was served by Madison W. She was chippy and gave me time to consider my options. You get a buzzer. Everything is cooked fresh. They have a full bar & soft drinks. I got iced tea. They have multiple picnic tables inside + counters. The back patio has tables with umbrellas. It took 5 min to get my hot haddock filet, crispy chips (steak fries) and my hot clam Chowder. They have sauces and malt vinegar.

Fresh!! Everything is freshly made. I had a 6 piece box of beer-battered cod. The staff is friendly and the overall experience was wonderful!

Cashier was very friendly , inviting & knowledgeable when i asked about the different fish varieties. I tried the pollack & chips plate. I picked up my order when called & the cook was very friendly with an upbeat personality. I had a lady check on me while eating which was another plus on customer service for the third time ! Great trained , happy staff is always refreshing to see. Fish was crispy & cooked perfectly!. Chips were thick steak cut ! Parking in the rear with a nice patio attached.

Fun pub vibe. Wooden benches. Sports matches on tv. The food was really good but tended to love the fish (tried the cod but suspect it's all really good). Liked the bangers which were grilled but loved the fish and chips. The counter services was helpful and polite. AND the bathrooms were clean. Will be back when in the area Definitely check them out.

The cod fish and the pies are amazing and the best I've had in the states we went to the Sloans lake location . very clean and tidy inside and Kourtney and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. We have just arrived in Denver from Tennessee, it's more than a little different. Coming from England I know my fish and chips. The fish is great but the chips could do with some improvement and I would love to tell the horse if they are interested. Also a couple of additions to the menu bangers in batter are amazing and will sell very well. Also if they were to add mushy pees to compliment the sides. Please contact me if I can help any more or get Kourtney to give us a shout.

It's been many a year since I stopped at a GB Fish and Chips but I'm sure glad I did. I really enjoyed this visit and I suspect I'll be returning rather soon. The service was easy and very personalized. The service was so cheeky, it made me smile. Not to mention the woman that took my order was strikingly beautiful. I ordered a fish and chips combo with cod and one extra piece of fish that was red snapper. For dessert, I ordered some bread pudding. The fish was prepared extremely well. Light, a great tasting batter and not overly greasy. The steak sized fries/chips were made just right. The bread pudding was one of the better bread puddings I've ever had. An odd thing to say about a fast food type place. My Newcastle beer was the perfect match for this yummy meal. It's in kind a crappy area at 13th and Broadway and it takes a second to figure out where to park. I wouldn't park on Broadway proper as it's just dangerous don't park in the parking lot just north of GBs as it specifically says they will tow GB customers. I sense some bad blood there. If you are a fish and chips lover, I think you'll find this place to a nirvana of sorts. I highly recommend it.

satisfied my craving for fish and chips, though even the regular portion was a bit large for me (thats my fault though). no major complaints, though the parking situation i was not a fan of -- but what can you do in such a location.

The buttery Cod is break apart tender. Soooooo good!

I dream about this fish. This is my favorite fish and chips! I never cared for fried fish before, but this is a life altering experience in taste. The fish is fresh, buttery and soft, the breading is light and crunchy, and the house made tartar sauce is a thing of beauty. This location is in a classic antique building, and the dining area has beautiful wood tables, probably just as old. No frills, simple and clean, with sports on the TV and the bliss of perfectly fried food.

It's so yummy!!

The food is more consistent than the wait staff. The catfish plate to me is the best around. Atmosphere is above average for the area.

Slightly sweet and savory curry with lots of layered spices to it. Filling and comforting. Great diversity of textures and savory, salty, and umami flavors. Gotta get the black pudding too. 3) Scotch Egg: -Comes with spicy mustard. -I LOVE scotch eggs. I'm a low key hardboiled egg enjoyer, so the addition of the sausage layer around with the deep fried breadcrumbs and dipped in mustard? Divine. I will always order this when I see it and this was good! 4) Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich: -You get a choice of fries or tots. In fact, we didn't eat anything that wasn't well seasoned, cooked to order and authentically British. Not an easy find, if you ask me. The two guys working the bar, Josh and Jake, are super friendly and made us feel like they've known us forever. That was awesome. Such a great neighborhood bar vibe. There's a great selection at the bar. I tried the seasonal porter and went so far to have another when I finished the first one. Josh and I talked about porter beers for a bit. The food selection is great and the food itself was awesome. No complaints. Great sized portions, the Cubano Sandwich exceeded my expectations, and we had the stuffed tater tots (tater kegs?) as an appetizer. Again, outstanding. As mentioned, even though it was our first time there we were made to feel like some of the regulars through conversation and the like. The crowd is eclectic. And, having lived in Chicago for a while, it was fun to do a shot of Malört with the bartenders and some of the other folks sitting at the bar. Go here. These bad boys are smoked for 12 hours, then fried up and dunked in house made sauces that taste like they've been perfected over time. We went with Kicking Bourbon (sweet with a little heat) and Alabama White Sauce (creamy, tangy perfection). The blue cheese and ranch are homemade...you can actually taste the difference and the fries? Crispy, golden, and gone way too fast. To wash it down, I grabbed a local Kölsch on tap; icy cold, light, and spot-on with the wings. And the vibe? Perfect mix of chill and fun. The bartenders were super friendly, the music hit right, and the whole place just had that "local favorite" energy. Honestly, Wild Corgi Pub is one of those spots that doesn't try too hard it just nails it. Good food, good people, good beer. That's all you need. I'll definitely hit this spot again when we return for another weekend getaway!

The flavor of the clams and potatoes came through nicely, and the soup was satisfying. I only wish there had been pepper available on the table to enhance it further. I also sampled a piece of the chicken. It arrived extremely hot, impressively flaky, and generously portioned. It was well-prepared and enjoyable. The fish itself was good, though slightly fishy, with an underlying flavor I couldn't quite identify. It wasn't unpleasant, just noticeable. The accompanying sauce tasted like mayonnaise with a hint of dill but lacked depth and overall flavor. A lemon wedge would have helped brighten the dish. The meal, however, left me feeling quite heavy from the amount of oil. While I appreciated the quality and preparation, it is not something I see myself returning for due to how rich it felt afterward. As for the restaurant itself, the building looks worn, like it has been here a long time. The doors appear in need of a fresh coat of paint--gray and visibly dirty--and the floor felt oily underfoot. While I was there, the tables were being cleaned and sports were playing on the TV overhead, giving the space a casual, local feel. That said, the service was good--friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I did get the impression they could use more business, which is unfortunate because the staff clearly cares about the experience.
