    Chicken Broccoli Ziti Alfredo
    David J.

At first I'd only tried the chicken broccoli Alfredo, which I found a little bit bland and could've used more broccoli... chicken was a little fatty/stringy. Came with standard issue garlic bread. Not bad, but not something I really wanted to go back for. However, considered pizza is their main deal and the ratings were consistently pretty good, I figured it would be worth trying at least one pizza. First tried just a pepperoni pizza. It was good, can't say much more about it: not the best ever but no complaints either. Good crust, good cheese, decent sauce, plenty of pepperoni. I've also done the Classic Buffalo Chicken Pizza twice, and personally I liked it so much I ordered another not even a week later. In my opinion the pizzas are cooked a little on the light side, so if you prefer a crispier crust maybe ask for it to stay in the oven an extra minute or two.

It was late night and me and my husband had friends over so we decided to order some pizza. We found Gaya on Yelp and after checking the pictures we decided to give it a shot! We order one XL half pepperoni and half greek. The pizza was huge! It was definitely extra large! They sliced it in 8 slices though - 12 would be perfect! Everyone loved it! The greek was delicious and the pepperoni was the right amount of greasy - not too much! Also the crust was really good! All my friends mentioned it! They said it would take 30 min and I believe it was even faster than that. The pizza arrived hot! Amazing!! We will definitely order there again!!

I would sell my boyfriend for their Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Pizza. Seriously, it's so delicious. I usually order a large and eat the leftovers over a week's time. Due to my love of this particular pizza I have failed to try anything else from Gaya but I imagine there are other gems. They lose a star for their VERY slow delivery. This place is not far from my place but it always takes an hour plus no matter what day or what time I order. It's not worth the delivery fee. Just pick it up.

I've seen this place while riding past on the bus. Been wanting to try it for a long time. Finally ordered a pizza through Seamless and it was good. Delivery guy called for directions. The food was hot. Best pizza in the area I've had so far. Look at the nice picture.

    Asking for no red onions
    Maurica M.

This is my first time ordering from Gaya. I specifically ordered because it had good reviews on Yelp. I ordered the Mediterranean Pizza online, but I loathe red onions so under special instructions I wrote "no red onions please!" My fiancee just arrived home with the pizza and it is covered with red onions. I'm unhappy to say the least. Update: I originally gave Gaya one star based on the onion mix up. However, the pizza was delicious after I picked off the onions and given the store owner's immediate polite comment recognizing the mistake and offering to make the pizza again I'm rating Gaya with 4 stars based not only on the pizza, but also on the customer service.

    Pepperoni pie

FINALLY, we have a go-to pizza place! There's a serious quality pizza drought in Somerville/Cambridge, but Gaya is filling that gap. The dough is slightly thicker, but cooked through with a crispy crust. The sauce has a little hint of sweetness to it, but I wouldn't call it a "sweet tomato sauce." The cheese is plentiful and the toppings fresh and thoughtfully placed. Overall a damn good pie. We ordered Pepperoni and Buffalo Chicken (not "Classic Buffalo Chicken"). Both were fought over until the last slice! This buffalo chicken had bleu cheese sauce (instead of tomato sauce) under the mozzarella, and this is a case in which that's done right. The chicken was unbreaded, fresh breast sliced small and flat for easy bites. I can't wait to try more from Gaya! **UPDATE! I've gotten Gaya on two more occasions, and I'm still super pleased. Tried the Classic Buffalo Chicken, Meat Lovers, Kids Pizza and Pesto. Classic Buffalo: I prefer the other style. We requested Bleu cheese on the side, and got two portions! Very cool. This style features Marinara sauce. Meat Lovers: my boyfriend liked it more than me, but I'm not crazy about meat lovers anyway! It was nice and spicy, which was a great touch. Kids: a pizza covered in mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders. Obviously it was absolutely amazing. Pesto: incredible flavors! I have never had a pesto pizza so lovingly crafted. I think there was too much pesto, since it was very bold due to the freshness and quality of flavor. I'd rather have too much than too little though! Gaya continues to impress.

    Eggplant parm sub
    Valeria S.

I went to Gaya with the idea of getting a pizza but instead ended up going for some subs. This place is really close to where I used to live and I'm so upset that I didn't find it now when I live by Porter. It's a pretty small place with few seating and a very casual atmosphere. The menu is rather extensive and you can get pizza with a bunch of toppings (I don't think they do slices but rather entire pies small medium or large) as well as a bunch of different subs, a range of appetizers, and about three or so dessert options. I tried the eggplant parm sub as well as the chicken Caesar salad sub. I love he toasted bread they use - it's amazing and tastes really good. The eggplant parm sub was my favorite with the eggplant cooked really well and battered well. The sauce was good and they didn't hold back on the cheese - thankfully. I'm not a huge fan of subs but definitely enjoyed this one. The Caesar sub was a bit of an odd choice since the sub came with croutons. Nevertheless, the chicken was really tasty as were the greens and the Caesar dressing wasn't overwhelming. Will definitely come back and try their pizza next times since it looks and smells really good!

Olives, pineapples green peppers and disappointment

I order from here all of the time and I just put in order asking for a pizza with pineapples, jalapeños and bacon on the left side. I even specified that when I ordered. It just showed up I didn't get a pizza but a calzone with a bunch of stuff inside of it that I didn't ask for so I call them to tell them they sent me the wrong thing. The man who answered the phone said yeah I was going to call you okay but you didn't and also didn't offer to remake it but to make it right the next time. I'm truly disappointed in the response of whoever answered the phone and whatever it is that they made me because it's not good.

    Meat lovers pizza

I tried this place today to see if it lived up to the perfect reviews on yelp and I have to say that it does. First off the prices are great, much cheaper than a lot of the other joints in town. I ordered from grub hub and scheduled a delivery for 5:00pm. They were 10 minutes late so at first I was upset (hangry, ya know) but the driver was apologetic and threw in a free soda to make up for it! Any other delivery person I've had be late before didn't even acknowledge it so this was definitely above and beyond customer service. I got a meat lovers pizza and there was A TON of meat. I mean very generous, and the sausage was AMAZING! I wanted to eat the whole 14" myself.... Overall this was a great experience and I will definitely be ordering here many many more times.

We split the mushroom pizza, the warm olives, the octopus, and the burrata. I tend not to express myself using superlatives, but everything was just plain outstanding. Flavorful, spicy olives, melt in your mouth burrata with prosciutto and apple relish, well balanced spicy octopus (chili aioli and Aleppo pepper) with bacon, grapes and either crispy prosciutto or bacon. The pizza was rich but not overly cheesy, and the mushroom mix and sauteed spinach was balanced with chewy crust and a rich olive oil base. We were planning on eating more, but decided to quit while we were ahead and have the chocolate hazelnut cake for dessert. Somehow, the cake was delivered accidentally to the table next to ours, and not only was another piece brought out to us as soon as we let the server know, but they gave us a generous portion of the tiramisu to make up for the mistake. Both desserts were of comparable quality to the rest of the meal, and they disappeared quickly. For the quality and quantity of the food, the meal was an excellent value. It is a little noisy in the room, with music and hard surfaces, but despite that, we were able to talk without raising our voices, and the service was a gracious team effort. The deliciousness of the food offset the background noise - once the food came (extremely quickly), we were so absorbed in eating and savoring it that it faded and was not annoying. Based on this experience, I would consider coming here on my next visit. Keep up the good work.

The crust was perfectly airy and charred. In terms of toppings, everything was well balanced. The truffle flavor was STRONG in the best way ever. What does Shaina order at this venue after a decade? My personal favorite: Puttanesca with homemade fusilli. Why? Because despite living in a region of Greater Boston where Italian restaurants are fruitful, people don't serve Puttanesca! Literally can't find it in the four Italian restaurants near my south shore home. Only other place that I can order this same dish is Vinny's at Night in Somerville. Folks love their fra diavolo, but Puttanesca gives that same heat with the bonus of salty kalamata, capers, and a touch of anchovies melted in. And, guess what?
