I also got to try their sangria and it was good as well. Just wasn't a fan of all that fruit at the bottom. Other than that, the food was great. Service was quick and helpful. Ambiance: This place is tucked away in a strip mall and somewhat gaudy at first glace but I was convinced by it's glowing reviews. The place itself is actually classy and well-decorated inside with rich wood and leather textures. The unobtrusive Brazilian music sets a nice thematic tone inside. Other reviewer report super fast food times but our experience was much slower as it seemed they made everything to order although it was admittedly pretty empty when we went so I doubt they were churning out large batches of stuff. Food: We got the Beef Chimichurri fries and Ultimate Brazilian Sandwich and enjoyed both. These guys have AMAZING breaded fries that come out blazing hot fresh from the fryer. You could very easily have a unhealthy meal of just these addicting fries alone. The chimichurri beef was very savory with the lightly caramelized onions and tender thin-shaved beef. They did cook the beef in the chimichurri which I was less a fan off as it blunts some of the freshness of the chimichurri and blurs the distinction between the beef and the sauce. I would've preferred the chimichurri as a drizzle or side-sauce but this is just personal preference. The Ultimate Sandwich was definitely the star with perfectly seared beef and flavorful sausage, the tortilla strips were a fun throwback to days of putting potato chips in your sandwiches. Overall Gaucho's Fire is a great dining option, it serves very fresh food with authentic flavors. The portion size is very reasonable and with meat and potatoes being the staples, it will be plenty filling. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try! read more

I visited Gaucho's on a Monday afternoon with some work colleagues. We were quickly greeted by a welcoming server. He was very attentive during the meal. We ordered and had our food in about 5 minutes, making it a great lunch break stop. I ordered the Steak Kabob meal, which came with a salad, rice, fries, and choice of sauce. Salad was good. The dressing was a honey mustard. The rice was good. The fries were delicious and crisp. The steak was cooked to order and had a good flavor. I chose the garlic aioli and it was very good. Although the place was empty on a Thursday evening, it won't be for long- once the word gets out. My Brazilian lemonade was perfect and the stroganoff was unique and tasty. The fries were outstanding but when you add the garlic sauce, it was a definite winner. The garlic steak was tender, cooked perfectly and quality meat. Wow, can't believe we waited before coming here. So glad we came in tonight. The food was outstanding. We got the churrasco plate, which was the mixed sampler. Sausage, chicken, steak, fries, all of them top notch. Really interesting dipping sauce. And we also had a starter bowl of bean soup that was delicious. I've visited Gauchos when they were located in the Garage. I love their Alfredo fries. I decided to stop by and ordered the ultimate Brazilian fries. Loaded with chimichurri, steak, sausage, chicken, cheese and onions. The fries looked really good but they were so greasy and not edible. I think if they would've drained them it would've been okay. It seemed they just fried everything in a basket and served it. There isn't much to the restaurant in terms of ambiance I think I'd rather order take out on the future than dine in. Had high hopes but was let down. Food was good but not much flavor (be ready to use salt and pepper). I had to request for another water when mine was clearly empty. We also had to wait a while for the tab which was a turn off. I ordered the chocolate cake and it didn't live up to my expectations. You can tell it was stored in the fridge and not fresh. If you have not tried Gaucho's Fire yet, it's a must try in the area. I used to live off Mass Ave and would frequent The Garage often; Gaucho's Fire is one of my favorite restaurants in The Garage. Now that I live farther north, getting an old favorite is a godsend. I have been craving the chimichurri steak fries for a while, but I haven't had the time to drive back to Mass Ave to get it. Luckily for me, Gaucho's Fire read my mind. The service was fantastic, and the restaurant has plenty of options to suit nearly any preference. I also like that they have local beers on tap (for less than the tap at that brewery in my case). The chimichurri steak fries are bursting with fresh, chimichurri flavor, and the steak was cooked to perfection. The fries were crispy and not too salty, and don't get me started on the sauce. It was a large portion, and if I hadn't skipped lunch, I definitely would have had leftovers. I think Gaucho's Fire is the best restaurant in the immediate vicinity on this part of town. We started with a variety of appetizers, including Bohlino Do Gaucho (Beef Croquettes), Beef Pastels, Chicken Pastels, Cheese Pastels, and Mozzarella Sticks. While every starter brought something tasty to the table, the standout was definitely the Bohlino Do Gaucho. It paired perfectly with the salsa verde, and the crispiness of the pastels left us wanting to order more! For our main courses, we tried the Churrasco Plate, which is a fantastic option if it's your first time visiting. This plate offers a variety of meat cuts and sides, giving you a true taste of Brazilian churrasco cuisine. We also ordered the Meat Lovers Fries, which were packed with flavor and tasted phenomenal. The meat in every dish was cooked to perfection, and they definitely know how to season their meats! To finish, we had Flan and Churros with chocolate sauce. Both were good, but the Flan was definitely our favorite. On top of the amazing food, the service at Gaucho's Fire was excellent -- our server was attentive and friendly throughout. This was one of the best meals my family has had in Indy. Our 12 and 9 year olds can be very picky (only ever wanting chicken fingers and fries) and they both DEVOURED all the different meats. Our youngest loved the carreteiro rice plate. When they took the empty plates away our 9 year old said "I miss it already." Haha HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I'm not sure what the heck I ordered but it's what they recommended and it was basically french fries smothered with steak, chicken, sausage, cheese, sauce, onions, cilantro and little potatoes and it was absolutely fantastic. Served piping hot with lots of flavor and really tasty. There wasn't a ton of french fries, which I consider evil, and they were a great addition to this amazing dish. My experience here started a little rough as I had a birthday coupon but staff was a little unsure if they would honor it. It required a phone call, conversations with someone in the kitchen and also checking my ID. After we were all systems go, our order was taken and food came out piping hot and beautifully plated practically identical to the menu picture in no time at all. I ordered the Ultimate Brazilian Sandwich and fries. Everything was cooked to perfection but I will say it was lacking a bit in seasoning. I've never had Brazilian food before so I'm not quite sure if there are unique flavors from there but this tasted just like unseasoned beef. The sausage and onions were delicious but again, it was on the bland side. My daughter ordered the bacon wrapped beef skewer and she had the same complaint of the food tasting bland. The storefront did not have a ton of appeal but the restaurant itself was clean and beautifully decorated. The menus were gorgeous and well put together. The tables had nice place settings and pricing was comparable to a stand alone $$ restaurant so it seemed a little on the high side for what I initially assumed being in a strip mall. Our bill for my daughter and I was $25.91 and that was with my birthday coupon which comped my entire entree. I do not want to deter anyone from eating here as I have had items from their food truck downtown that was amazing! I do think this may have been a one off situation or maybe my palate is just accustomed to a lot of seasoning but I personally will not come back.
